For sure! They're not common, but man is it a relief when those you are around or grow up with are 3s.

I'm PIMI, but I want to believe I'm a type 3 (but with type 2 characteristics). I am anti-shun and I am looking forward for more reform from Watchtower. Kind regards.

Thank you for your comment, Alexander, I appreciate it! And who knows, you may one of the few who are there to help change it from a high control group/cult into a more open and caring group in the future.
I learned that many times some of the type threes get "taken back for a talk" with elders for being that way because you don't follow the hard rules like shunning, and they typically consider it as a "bad reflection on the congregation". The man I mentioned first in my experience with type 3s, Ralph, mentioned this a few times and talked about it. But thankfully he always was a child at heart himself even being in his 90s, because he would always tell that to me in a hushed voice like he was telling a secret and then say "but I don't care about that anyway... shhhh!" and then giggle about it haha. His heart guided him, not doctrine, rules or expectations. Such a powerful, necessary anchor and support for anyone who wanted to leave, or otherwise had issues with the religion and how it operates. Rare as they come, but everyone needs a confidant like that. There was a couple others who mentioned being pulled back for a talk because of this, one of them even noting they considered it "entertaining apostasy", and all of them were 70+ in age.
The point is, I want you to be aware of this and know it could lead to some of these "talks" as well for you. But I hope not. If it does, I hope you're able to stand up for your feelings and stances, and stand by them with confidence, and not back down to appease. If positive changes are going to happen, it's going to take folks like you to make that stand.
Again, thank you for taking the time and leaving your comment, I really appreciate it, and all the best to you going forward!

@@TheCriminalViolin I think almost every single doctrine can be salvaged but they need to change up some practices to minimize the amount of suffering caused directly, or indirectly.
I joined a Jehovah's Witnesses I believe JWs are the only religious group preaching what I consider to be the correct view of Jesus, respect the sanctity of God's name, and speak about his renewed earthly kingdom, and I came to these conclusions only by reading the Bible.
Everything else can and should be questioned.
In my ideal, shunning would be reduced only for extreme cases, for those apostates who aggressively promote a different religion or attempt to convert JWs.
The two witness rule would immediately be dropped and halls would be instructed to immediately report all cases of abuse to the police.
Birthdays and other non-religious celebrations would be a conscience matter.
Masturbation and porn use would be seen as something between a person and God.
Their view on evolution would be revised, as well as their view on higher education.
And the 607 to 1914 timeline be altered to fit more recent evidence.
And most important of all, an apology should be issued. They don't even have to say they're sorry - only acknowledge they caused harm, and God's holy spirit has led us to correct it.
It breaks my heart how much suffering, abuse, isolation and loss of life-saving faith in Jehovah has been provoked by the pride of a human organization that could easily correct a few things and continue sanctifying God's name.

@@alexanderisrael2715 greetings! May i ask what would determine the difference between doctrine and practice and who gets to decide this? It sure seems like some of the “practices” you point out above are “doctrines” to me. If the 607 is only a practice can you give an example of a doctrine and again, what, when, why, who, makes so?
      Peace!!!
