Man, I remember I watched this episode as a 7 year old, and I was just awestruck with the amount of emotion I felt from this scene. Took me such a long time to FINALLY find what anime it came from, and here it is! Definitely gonna re-watch this and relive the nostalgia.

I guess it's just me but I don't like Rain Mikamura, she felt too much like a poor me, poor me character, she barely understands Domon Kasshu, she barely understands the position he's in with learning that his mother died, told his own brother was the cause of it, and also told that his father was put in stasis for creating the Dark Gundam, dude was forced to hunt his own brother didn't have any family to lean on, with Master Asia who was like a second father to him betraying him, and then here comes Allenby Beardsley, I understood their relationship right away Domon just saw Allenby as a little sister like figure, the feeling of having a family he hasn't felt for a long time, I can't tell you how many times Domon proved his love for Rain when he deserved a lot better, then when she learns the truth about the Dark Gundam and how her father was involved she decides to leave with her father out of shame, in my opinion that was the cruelest thing she could do to Domon, dude just lost his brother, learn the truth, and lost his master, Rain the woman he proved that he loved time and again and the only one left he had in his life just abandon him, 🤦♂️ if it wasn't for that stupidity she wouldn't have ended up as the Dark Gundam's core unit, if they didn't add a love interest for Domon then mobile fighter g Gundam could have been perfect to me it's semi perfect but it could have been perfect.
Even though it’s been a long time since I’ve seen G Gundam, I still remember how absurd it was for Rain to leave Domon all alone like that. Especially after he killed both his master and his older brother, it was something about her fathers crimes being her crimes or some stupid shit like that. Even though she had nothing to do with what her father did, then she turns evil at the very end. Which also didn’t make any sense whatsoever! Telling Domon to stay away, while the dark gundam is about to absorb the earth. For an engineer she was really stupid, and super emotional over what was essentially nothing.
@Vanguarded_Heart 117 you think that's a good excuse to do what she did to Domon? either way she hurts the guy, breaks his heart and abandons him, I guess like father like daughter.
@@AnixCo1990 The Japanese have a different culture where the sins of one individual are shared by the entire family. Like how if one person commits murder, society shuns the whole family because they might commit murder too. Admittedly it doesn't make sense, but then society is largely irrational.
@@pikabununify ur spot on about how society is highly irrational, the past 3 plus years have shown everyone that. But I do recall Domon telling rain that he was going to tell her something very important after the island tournament. The least she could’ve done is wait for him to say what he needed to. Then she travels with the most obvious bad guy ever ulube, and surprise he reveals that he wants to control the dark gundam. It’s like she wanted to be the damsel in distress, I do recall her asking Domon if he would ever rescue her in one of the earlier episodes. He said no because she was no princess, guess she wanted to test him after that.
