So yes this took long because what I had in mind was lengthy enough and I ended up at over 8 minutes. I did my best to lower the music all the way down so do let me know if its still too loud so I can figure out a different direction for next video.
Again, sadly next part may face a slight longer delay and I'll address it more later today on TikTok (or I may just make a post here about it).

I have to say Gossip Gaunt is the BEST thing that’s ever happened to Hogwarts Legacy lol, my Mc is just like this Stelle and I’d like to think Gossip Gaunt would be a thing that DEFINITELY happened in her universe :D

This made me think though. Let’s combine the facts:
Black and Hecat were in the same class. Black has no love for his wife and it is even rumoured, that he removed the Hogwarts Bells because they reminded him of his wedding day.
He appears uninterested, but through his portrait in HP, we learn that he is actually sarcastic and clever. He however dislikes self-harming “stupid” heroism and young people because they like to “wallow in self-pity”.
Also while his portrait was a prick and still a bigot at times, he in fact greatly aided Dumbledore, Harry, Snape and even Hermoine (when she kept him in her pocket). He also celebrated the victory of Hogwarts after the defeat of Voldemort and reminded everyone that Snape and therefore house Slytherin played a big part in the victory. He also, while not showing it, cared for all his great grandchildren such as Arthur Weasley, although he’s an offspring of the banished son Phineas Black jr. and was extremely upset about the death of Serius black by bellatrix.
Rumor also has it, that he is obsessed with cosmetic/ de-ageing stuff. We also learn in HP, that Serius was very wrong with his opinions about some of his family members, especially R.A.B…
So perhaps we all have a wrong opinion of headmaster black as well? What if professor black actually liked Hecat back in in the day but wasn’t allowed to be with her due to his parents and forced into a marriage? What if he is not actually interested in de-aging stuff/cosmetics for himself, but for Hecat? What if he still has affection for her, and her state is the reason he cannot deal with whiny adults/ kids and why he dislikes heroism without self-preservation?
Also fun fact: the line “Fudge, you can say about Dumbledore what you want, but you have to admit, Dumbledore has style” that was given to Kingsley in the fifth movie after Dumbledore escapes in front of Umbridge and Fudge from his office via Phoenix, was actually said by the portrait of headmaster black in the books!
Headmaster black by the way did not like Dumbledores eccentric behaviour and often questioned the involvement of students in matters, especially Harry’s!
Also when Harry tries to convince Dumbledore, that Snape is a loyal death eater in the sixth book, Blacks portray gets really pissed and says the following:
“You know, this is precisely why I loathed being a teacher! Young people are so infernally convinced that they are right about everything.”
Dumbledore even mentions, that headmaster black was his headmaster and he is aware that the lack of respect and all the assumptions from the students did not help Black to like his job.
Unfortunately Ominis cannot read the HP series 😂
Edit: I forgo to mention the letter you find from Kagawa in Hecats office, specifically asking Hecat to try and convince Black to allow quidditch again.
AND if you finish your fieldguide and go to blacks office during the day and while pursuing the quest „Weaslys Watchful Eyes“, you will find him through the left door in his bedroom staring at the same type of bugs Hecat has in her classroom and even more surprising, he isn’t angry that you entered the office, he actually kinda compliments you on both, finishing the field guide and winning against Ranrok!
I also noticed that his little busts are spread throughout the entire castle and even throughout places in hogsmead and they watch you/ the head always turns in your direction. If you’re lucky, you can also get a scene of Scrope and Nick fighting over the placement of the busts and the level of care shown to Nicks bust vs the headmasters.
So they were basically planted on strategically important spots, and most likely are like spying tools, so the headmasters knows much more than everyone believes!

@@nebulaquatica he is! Septimus Weasly is his dad and Cedrella Black his mom! I was wrong though, Arcturus II is her dad and not Phineas. So I picked the wrong brother, but P.N.Black is still the great grandfather of Arthur and great great grandfather of Ron :) which means Ron and Sirius are related as well.
However Cedrella was also banished later, by Arcturus for marrying into the „blood traitor“ family.
But, if we now look at the family tree of the potters as well, then it becomes painfully clear that…well… Dumbledore and Ron say it in the books:
„If we didn’t marry Muggles, we would have died out“…but Dumbledores goes even further in the sixth book „Years of incest and violence have left the Gaunts in misery“.
That’s why I kinda don’t get it, when the Gaunts are portrayed as glamorous as the Blacks by fans. Most of the Gaunts have birth defects and are deformed in some way AND they are extremely poor, due to a lot of them spending parts of their life in Azkaban because of the regular Muggle torture. The blacks managed to keep the incest to a minimum and obeyed the law, while simply keeping a racist mindset, that’s why the life standards differ so much between those two pureblood families.
So compared to what Ominis was used to, uncle Solomon’s house in Feldcroft was a six star hotel. That’s why he gladly lived there during the summer break.
Ominis, I might of misheard this.
But while I was eating in the Great Hall. I could of sworn that I heard the headmaster say, "The polyjuice potion is wearing off".
I live for Gossip Gaunt! I never get tired of hearing Ominis spilling the tea in that frustrated voice of his lol. It must take so much effort to gather all that footage, editing, writing dialogue and utilizing the voice mods. You're very talented! You're a blessing to the HL fandom! These series always puts a smile of my face, every few days I have rewatch a video waiting for the next one.
And poor Sebastian. Just witnessed his future lover pass by unexpectedly as she posed in Professor Black's good nature.

Originally for this series I was gonna give her her own “arrival/intro” to follow right before the Gauntings but then I just forgot 🤣
Pretty much though her full name is Estella Rose Luna, she goes by “Stella” and that is about what remains the same for her “in game” lore as well as her “gossip gaunt” lore.

Lol it’s why it took so long to make this 🌚 I even resorted to digging up old PS5 captures I had for some of these. In the end happy it all worked out! I did worry if I was straying too far off topic.

It’s going to set up a small bit for next part! It’s probably not going to stick depending on what I come up with going forward. Pretty much the reason why I had him call her that was because “the new fifth year” seemed too repetitive and as these go on she’s pretty established there now. But pretty much “New Niffler” may not go away entirely. He’s just gonna be calling her a variety of things to carry the gag that MC is referred to anything but their name lol.

SHAME! Phineas is an ancestor of the greatest Black of them all = Sirius Orion Black. Shame I say Shame be upon any that would dare denegrate a member of the Most ancient and noble house of Black. Especially a Gaunt whose own ancestors bred sister to brother over generations. Shame on the Filthy (though cute) Ominis Gaunt.
Tbh I never thought abt how everyone calls mc “the new fifth year” but now I can’t stop thinking about it! Anyways gotta love gossip gaunt 🫶🏻🫶🏻
