I used to work in a lunch cafe in Stockholm many years ago. That particular cafe was close to a company dealing with a lot of Swedish celebrities so they would show up to the cafe on an almost daily basis. So one day one of the staff from said company shows up and orders a meal for him and the person with him (this person didn't come to the register to order so I didn't see who it was). I ring up their order, he pays and then returns to the table where they are both seated. Once the order is up, I go to bring them their food and I nearly drop it when I see who is sitting there with him. I'm not sure how famous he is abroad, but I think most Swedes recognize Jerry Williams. While I hadn't listened to him in years at that point, this guy was my hero as a child and seeing him brought back so many memories. He was such a sweetheart and it is one of my fondest memories. Rest in peace, Jerry! So fast forward a couple of years and I'm in Japan. My current hero (hide - former X Japan) is unfortunately dead since many years back and I went to visit his grave one day like I do almost every time I'm in Japan. When I arrive, I see a number of middle-aged and older women, wearing his merchandise, standing close by, sorting through flowers removed from his grave. I assume that they are staff, say "Hello" and don't think much of it as I continue to his grave. Just as I am about to leave, one of these women hurries up to me and stops me. She hands me some merchandise and then points back at one of the other women and says "That's hide's mother" and she encouraged me to go over and say "hello", so I did. While it wasn't hide himself, meeting his mother was a crazy experience. I was going through a bit of a rough patch at the time as well, which made it feel even more special. She was an incredibly sweet woman and I am so grateful that she even took the time to talk to me and thank me for remembering her son. There were so many things I wanted to tell her, but my mind just went completely blank when I stood there in front of her. But my mom, who had just turned 60 that month and who got me into AC, got to meet him. She gave him a letter saying how much the band’s music meant to her and how it got her through the hardest moment in her life (loosing her mom, brother, and best friend in the course of two months, while also raising an autistic child and her marriage on the rocks.)
Seems Like These People Freaked Out Because They Had Waiting For This For Their Entire Life Or They Didn't Expect To Get Such Great Things From Their Idols
Slash is my idol. I saw him live last year at the filmore. Oh my god i never thought a grown man could cry when someone they look up to come out on stage. Its such a surreal moment
There are a few musicians that I would freak out over if they surprised visited me. Steve Harris from Iron Maiden, Rob Halford from Judas Priest, Jon Schaffer from Iced Earth, Dave Mustaine from Megadeth, Udo Dirkschneider former original lead singer of Accept, Don Dokken from Dokken, and Jake E Lee from Red Dragon Cartel/ former lead guitar player of Ozzy Osbourne.
I think that the best fan meating his hero is in the Big 4 concert behind the scenes when Tom Araya meets a bulgarian fan who starts crying out of joy. Tom hugs the fan and it really shows the love musicians and fans have for eachother.
I have been a HUGE Faster Pussycat fan..especially of Taime. I have been a fan for decades and have met them many times over the decades. But I started doing the Monsters of Rock cruise for a few years when it first started because Taime was on it. I went to every show on the cruise and the shows they did in Florida before or after the cruise. Before the second cruise, we were hanging out waiting for them to arrive. When they did, Taime had the car stop and he got out of the car ran over to hug me and called me by my name. I got back in my car and cried like a baby.
The best/most heartwarming fan freakout moment is in the Pantera 3 home video. There is a part in the video where Pantera was in Argentina, I think. It was after a show, late at night. This kids (17 years old maybe) meets Pantera and can’t even talk. He just break down crying so much to the point that he can stand up on his own. You see his dad very calmly thanking Pantera while his son is loosing his shit. Dime telling the guys to “light him up one”. I think that was Dime slang for telling the rest of the guys to shakes hands and give an autograph. That moment puts a little tear in my eye when I watch it.
I always think that. But I met slash once and surprised myself and struck up a quick conversation with him. I'm not a people person as well 😂. I think it helps that he's a chilled out person.
They are regular people at the end of the day, but I've already had to talk to a couple of them and could barely get words out and there are a few I know for sure if I meet them I will cry my eyes out. I even got teary watching this video on the part where the young woman met Ozzy.
The one with James Hetfield is an all time classic, that hug, you can actually feel that!

I don’t blame them. No one would be able to keep it together meeting their heroes
I think it’s so awesome when big bands still have time for their fans
we need another episode of this
I turned into a stuttering lunatic when I met That 1 Guy face to face after a show. I still have some playing cards he used in a magic trick on stage.
Bro when I met Corey, I felt that 😂😂. I was shaking so hard
Slash is my idol. I saw him live last year at the filmore. Oh my god i never thought a grown man could cry when someone they look up to come out on stage. Its such a surreal moment
5:06 That feeling when the prince of darkness welcomes you with open arms
There are a few musicians that I would freak out over if they surprised visited me. Steve Harris from Iron Maiden, Rob Halford from Judas Priest, Jon Schaffer from Iced Earth, Dave Mustaine from Megadeth, Udo Dirkschneider former original lead singer of Accept, Don Dokken from Dokken, and Jake E Lee from Red Dragon Cartel/ former lead guitar player of Ozzy Osbourne.
Wow! Green Day got Elon Musk up on stage!
Asian Elon musk
*e l o n m u s k*

The young lady with Sr. Paul was BY FAR the best !

“Sup dude”
“Hey ma- *oh my god* “
I think that the best fan meating his hero is in the Big 4 concert behind the scenes when Tom Araya meets a bulgarian fan who starts crying out of joy. Tom hugs the fan and it really shows the love musicians and fans have for eachother.
Corey Taylor: *appears*
guy: omg
Corey taylor: ( when u gonna put down your phone and hug me?
@4:24 is Studio 7 in Seattle where I have performed many times. Recognized it immediately. It sadly closed in 2019 but legendary venue here in WA.
Fan: cries cuz of happiness
Ozzy: iM noT thAt uGly?!?!?
He is clearly NOT high or anything
I have been a HUGE Faster Pussycat fan..especially of Taime. I have been a fan for decades and have met them many times over the decades. But I started doing the Monsters of Rock cruise for a few years when it first started because Taime was on it. I went to every show on the cruise and the shows they did in Florida before or after the cruise. Before the second cruise, we were hanging out waiting for them to arrive. When they did, Taime had the car stop and he got out of the car ran over to hug me and called me by my name. I got back in my car and cried like a baby.
That hair tho 4:26

I remember meeting Shaun from Seether back when I was a huge fan and nearly crying with excitement.
That Paul McCartney signature is tattoo worthy. If it was me I'd be going to a tattoo parlor the next day to get it permanent
I would probably end up embarrassing myself if I ever met my faves. Who else?
Id probably not say much
I always think that. But I met slash once and surprised myself and struck up a quick conversation with him. I'm not a people person as well 😂. I think it helps that he's a chilled out person.
@@slashthe2nd cool bro! What did you say to him? And what did he say to you?
i met andy biersack too, he is an amazing person🥺
I kinda freaked when I met Glen Benton of Deicide. It wasnt a total freak out but it was a little embarrassing.
This is the Heavy Metal in Baghdad guys. They were cool when I saw them in concert.

They are regular people at the end of the day, but I've already had to talk to a couple of them and could barely get words out and there are a few I know for sure if I meet them I will cry my eyes out. I even got teary watching this video on the part where the young woman met Ozzy.
That girls song sounds ripped from a The Cure song..
Exactly what I was thinking
@@Ghost_of_Michael_Collins yup
If you’re a rock star and you can give someone that kind of joy then why wouldn’t you!
