Sometimes when I mess up a page real bad, I make a collage over it! You can glue in for example movie tickets, polaroids, stickers, cutout from magazines, pressed flowers, etc
I tend to do something similar to that in my sketch book usually to cover up bleeding from markers though I use some acrylics to get "a fresh" page and then I can glue some pressed flowers or what have you onto it. I usually do this if I have done a full page illustration with markers.
I always do that. Mostly because my plans change so much. I use my cute pens and markers after the day actually passes, so that I know for sure it worked out. And I'm still using that page for the remainder of the month/ week, so it still makes me happy to see it.
some of the tips stressed me out so much, especially the white out, when bullet journaling I hate white out since it stands out from the off white, to me it looks really messy I hate being like this
@@felix.mp3639 or a glue roller (idk what it's called) it looks like the white out roller but instead of white you roll down glue, they usually aren't that expensive and last quite a while
I spelt Gratitude as Grateitude. Do make your mistakes into something funny. I highlighted Grate, and made a page about all the different things you can do with cheese, (cheese grate, get it...it’s an odd page)
Hey y’all! If any of you are looking for a DIY to organize your bullet journaling supplies I have one that works great for me All you need is an empty tin foil or Saran Wrap holder. You can paint the out side to make it cuter. Then on the roll in the middle you can put your washy tapes or ribbon in it. I know it is not really a DIY but it is still a hack☺️☺️☺️
Aw man, none of your stars look like trash. Just a little extra stroke! I love the message at the end about accepting your mistakes in addition to ways to cover 'em. Thank you!
Your vids literally inspired me to finally start doing bullet journals. As well, as to start making decent notes, because my notes look like trash, and this is really helping me to get more motivated in my studying.
I have a tip! I personally don't use this one, but a lot of people do. If you have a mistake about the size of a smaller square, it can be difficult to not know what to do. You can cut out a piece of paper from the back of your journal so it won't be noticiable
i usually photo-copy the pages of my bullet journal so i can cut the little squares out of them, in case i need the pages at the end! but thats a good idea too :)
When I make a mistake in writing, I cover it with a black marker and re write on top with a white gel pen and for tiny mistakes, instead of correction tape, I use a white gel pen.
The worst mistake I made with my bullet journal was when I was numbering the pages. I was numbering, but I didn’t let the ink dry. (Y’all already know what happened) Of course, the ink got all smudged and gross. I just re-wrote the numbers on top of the smudged ones and went on with my day. Don’t stress over mistakes! It makes journaling not so fun.
When I mess up on my tittle when I’m using a marker or a highlighter for the font I usually just make like a little scribble over it and make a box and then write the tittle over again in black
when I accidentally drew a slunted line while journaling I love to add a line to the other side, THIS gives u a long triangle and u can add branches and leaves and call it a tree
i use colored correction tape, when i write something wrong, i use the tape and write it correctly, then go back use the correction tape on everything else and rewrite those over the tape too. it looks intentional and pretty cute
Sometimes if i really didnt like the pages,i just tear it out but leaving small linear piece of the page then glue it down to the next page.so it become unnoticeable that i tear it out
If it is a small misstanke you can use a white gel pen ti fix it. You can also cover the whole Word with black (or ehatever colour) like a Tiny box and later you write the Word inside the box.
If you mess up something like the birthday thing, you can always make a cute lil arrow pointing to the correct day, and pray that you have nothing going on the day you accidentally put someone’s birthday as
White out is only good on pure white paper when you dont plan to write over it though.. it's super noticeable when you write over top of it or when using it on off-white paper.. I keep a page at the back of my book and cut a piece out and glue over my mistake n that works out pretty amazing ;)
You can totally use a lined notebook. The lines will be visible, but as long as you don't mind that, any lined notebook is fine. This goes for any notebook. There aren't laws for bullet journaling. What matters most is that you like it.
Protip for the comment section from an artist here: I use bullet journalling to keep track of my artwork. Don't like the look of whiteout? Then I have some tips from the art community that could be a lifehack for all my fellow bujo'ers out there. It's basically the principle of thumbnailing, only then with bullet journals. So first, you grab a few pieces of plain 'ol printer paper, and sketch out some ideas for what you want on your page before you actually fill it in on your journal. It doesn't have to look nice, just doodle down a layout idea to see if it works. And I'd advise you to especially get messy on that printer page. Just get the messiness out so it doesn't end up on your page. Futz around with colours, lettering types, see which details look nice together, etc. Then maybe draw some small variations on that idea. This also gives you a bigger chance to get your page right, since it's already in your muscle memory now. Then pick the one you like the most out of all of these ideas, and draw it on your actual journal page. First in pencil to map out where things will be going, then trace that with the pens you want to use. Wait for it to dry (you probably have some small tasks you can do if you want to keep busy, just keep the journal laying open and you're good), then erase your sketch. Now all of this won't save you from every mistake, but it definitely will save you a lot of mistakes that you'd otherwise make. I know I do this for the prettier parts of my bullet journal, since I kind of come up with an overarching theme for it before I even start. And boy, did it ever save me some failed pages! I swear, if I was taping mine together every time I make a mistake, then I'd indeed have zero pages left.
I like to cut a piece of black paper, write anything I need with a metallic pen and glue it on top of my mistake, it covers a mistake and make everything beautiful
When I messed up my heathers, I like to cover it with black marker in a cute banner way ;) and then write the title in white over that. Most of the time it looks better than I first initiated!
Take some decorative paper and cut it into size and write or past something over it... I also like to use pictures and stick them on with tape adhesive or washing tape :)
If I make a mistake, I just cut out a little piece of paper of The last page of my bulletjournal and glue it on my mistake. Because it is The same paper with dots you won’t notice. But you have to make sure that The dots of your piece of paper are on The same place as The dots normally are.
For the first one you could just rip out one page and cut a piece out and glue it on the mistake and use the other bit of the paper for and extra flag in a weekly spread for notes or something. I don’t know just a thought
I draw an arrow to my mistakes and write a funny note in the margin so I can laugh at it later instead of stressing over it.
elizabeth jehnzen I actually really like that idea! I’ll do that from now on.
I love that idia haha
That’s a cute idea

I know this may seem like hate but it’s not. Maybe instead of using tape you should use glue because then it won’t be so bulky and noticeable
Double side tape. Glue is a good idea but sometimes the page becomes wrinkly
Dakota Tahamont or you could just use glue tape
I use a gluetape roller
yes, we could use whatever we think is best 😊 (although double sided tape seems like a good option)
Use stick glue or double sided tape
tip: USE PENCIL BEFORE PEN AND U CAN ERASE YOUR MISTAKES (you can also change how it looks) :)
Betty Chen Sometimes it’s kinda time consuming tho.Or maybe I’m just lazy🤣
I always do that too
I did this once on an envelope and my dad got mad and then he started lecturing me for not even knowing how to write an address. ¯\_༼ •́ ͜ʖ •̀ ༽_/¯
Okay :)

I use an erasable pen so if I spell something wrong I just erase
Easy life
Yea I used to do that but then I realized that after a long time sometimes it gets blurred away, not smudge but it gets lighter and lighter.
@@13pittakanyanat13 yeah, because when you erase the friction it heats the ink, so if you have your book in a warm space it will erase.
I actually wanted to do that but I couldn’t find any where I live (India)
Now that should be in this video
some of the tips stressed me out so much, especially the white out, when bullet journaling I hate white out since it stands out from the off white, to me it looks really messy I hate being like this
Christina Gaskarth instead of using white out you could rip a Page out of your bullet journal and use that to size whenever you need to.
Christina Gaskarth Me too! Ugh OCD
You can buy off-white/beige white out
khasandra parras where?
Nayana Sumaniaka I found it at staples a few months ago
A way to fix a mistake is to bowl in the mistake and color it in in black. Then, write what you needed to write in white gel pen. Works like a charm!
you are an actual genius
Yeah! I always do that
That's what I do!

Use double sided tape. It’s a lots quicker then folding your tape over and will make it lay a bit flatter
Bryanna Fleshman or you could use a glue stick 🤷🏽♀️
double sided tape is expensive tho. Welp for me since I’m broke :(

@@felix.mp3639 really late to this comment but you can find 3 rolls for 1,75 euros on shein!
I like to use the Scotch double sided tape roller. It's so quick and easy and lays flat on the page instead of the tape bubble. :)
if you’ve gone to school then you already know these hacks

One thing I do: to fix the messed lettering, I will write the same thing in a different paper any color and stick it on top of the mistake ❤
With the stars (2nd tip) you could use small cute stickers
Lol talking about this, I was pre writing out the months in my planner and I added an "i" to July 😂
if you mess up a whole 2 page spread you can tape 2 sides out of 3 to create a pocket where you can store tickets and photos from the respective month

What kind of pens do u recommend
To fix a spelling error in a subtitle you can box it with a black marker and write on that with a white gel pen.
You can write/draw what you wanted to on regular paper, stick it on and add some washi tape around it to make it look nice lol
You fucked up the whole month of March and managed to cover it up.
You can black it out and then right on it with a white pen or marker
For the first one you could just rip out one page and cut a piece out and glue it on the mistake and use the other bit of the paper for and extra flag in a weekly spread for notes or something. I don’t know just a thought
OMG this helped me so much
if its really small like a ink puddle then just use a white gel pen!
You could also get one of those frixion pens that are erasable!
THANK YOUUUUU
On hack 1 instead of taping them together, glue them.
If you glue them then it will look better
I just have to say, I really miss Noelle hosting this bullet journal series
