Nah Karrigan has always IGL'ed like that. It's both his best attribute and biggest flaw. Flaw because it gets him booted from teams before they get a chance to click... but as you can see, with the right group this tactic is godlike. Karrigan is scary in a whole other way. He just understands peoples Strengths so well.

Crazy to me that Twistzz acheived 3x as many trophies with Liquid than he has with Faze so far. 12 big metals with Liquid vs Fazes 4. Think people always forget just how good Liquid was. 2018 to 2020 being a top 5 team the entire time not dropping below that and number 1 for 5 straight months winning 6 tournaments in a row to get the grand slam. Pretty much an era if they got that major after the break. So I wouldnt quite say he ditched NA to "Finally" win it all. He did that awhile ago haha he just needed the major as his only thing missing and got that now. Hope he continues to win even more and seal what most think already which is that he is the best NA player of all time!
You can argue that the skill scaling of cs back then is very slim if you compare it today's skill scaling Teams have improved throughout the years and the pro scene became much more competitive

That online era really made a lot of teams worse as players and are just getting back up into that skill level. The firepower of Liquid then where all players were popping off is pretty similar to Faze now and we see how thats going for them. Winning!

@@jorgeenchilada the issue is faze had always been chokers and underachievers. Until recently they have never reached the sort of powerhouse levels nip, fnatic, astralis etc were. Ropz karrigan twistz combo has really helped and broky and rain are always there to form the backbone

Then ropz joined and all that changed. Though, I wouldn't say they've reached the heights of NiP, Fnatic, SK/LG, and Astralis quite yet. They need another major at least. Maybe they're above NiP, but that's it.

That super team was struggling for a year. No team is super team, team work makes them super.. Look at navi and astralis. They won only after they played together. Simple is still the best player and was, but never won a major bcz team didn't play together

As a Belgian resident and Antwerp being my city, I am so proud my city/country have been chosen for that major, and so happy how it turned out. Forever remembered as Faze's first major, and it was my first major attendance as well... That Faze Spirit game was absolutely fucking nasty and I will never forget the incredible experience I had there.
