31 shots 1 goal? It’s a needed win but let’s be real. It was Utah and they could only manage 1 goal. That won’t work against a really good team. Kapisalo was the savior tonight.
@@bruinsdiehards Yup. But the chances were there, and they were getting pucks on net finally. That will build their confidence, and the goals will come. By the way, keep up the great content. Since I've found your channel it's been one of my first go to sources for Bruins content/info, and overall content on RUclips.
Anyone else notice the behind the net passes D to D ? Reminded me of the Julien system. D has puck along the boards near the corner, bounce it off the boards behind the net over to the other D who then has options, either back behind the net, up the boards or skate it out. That was Julien years with Chara. Notice how the lines stayed together? They looked more in synch. Funny how that works. Still a lack of talent but properly managed they can win some games anyway. By the way, Korpie has earned another start.
Yeah I would think they go with Korpisalo but its also a new coach. He could want to play both and then see. If this team is going to win hockey games they need both goalies going

@bruinsdiehards going back to the old style system -one of the things I remember with Cassidy, noticed from a limited goalie's & D perspective, is they have the goalie eat the puck more to re-set with D-zone face-offs. Are we going back to that style? That's how Sway got his very first success when he was brought up for playoffs. They had him eat the puck. Do not allow rebounds. (That was appropriate for his development - not a slight nor insult) We also had some serious shot blockers in front of Sway. Forbort Nosek & others. But that was part of the Cassidy system at times. So the opponents shot on goal statistics often looked low because those shots were blocked, They did everything they could to not allow that puck to get near Jeremy when he first came up. I saw that system continue, Particularly after Tuukka left Why I think Bruins are playing in too tight to jeremy, tripping over him, not giving him space to work or track the puck Often preventing him from doing his job It'll be interesting to watch - I can't watch all games. What do you think?
@ I wouldnt think Sacco will do a one for one style but some of the adjustments he made last game on the forecheck felt like when him and Cassidy were coaching
It’s amazing what happens when the lines aren’t juggled every two seconds I’d wait until 5-10 games have been played to make a decision on whether or not firing monty was a good idea or not
Looked like the boys went back to fundamentals, started to trust each other, played their roles, and built a little chemistry. While a lot of people have been part of the problem, this is the part that I place squarely on the coach.
That was reminiscent of the Cassidy days. They looked much better and defense was better, especially in front of Korpisalo. It's only one game but that model they tried last night worked. The physicality was there, the passing was better and the Power Play actually had shots and some structure. It was a win and I hope they build off of it. That looked more like the Bruins team we're accustomed to and expected to see this year.
A better game than the last time they faced Utah. They have a favorable schedule over the next 5 to 7 games until they meet the Jets. It's a great time to put up some points in the standings.
Great to know Sacco's coaching style is similar to Cassidy & Julien. The Bruins looked so much better tonight. The problem was Montgomery. The players no longer wanted to play for him. I am concerned with Swayman's play . He is responsible for the teams lack of chemistry by holding out at training camp. Hoping the Bruins can build on this result and get on a winning streak. Congrats to Sacco's first win!
With so many auer continuing to say Swayman isn't an issue I think this one is on the fans not letting it go. I have been around NHL dressing rooms my whole like and I just don't see what happened with Swayman to be a problem. If anything Cam’s public comments are the issue
Nice win! The D was there finally, they looked more put together as a team! They moved their feet! Much better game to watch as a fan🙌need to build off this one game but we know they can do it!

They were more disciplined, and structured. They didn't back into their zone as much. And a few times they even went into the corners to retrieve the puck in the opposing zone. They finally stopped just passing the puck around the opposing net and actually took some shots. And, they did all this while facing a very hot goaltender. I feel if they keep this structure up they will get better at it, and the goals will come along with the confidence ! For the first time this season I feel the optimism burgeoning again. "Go Bruins" !
B's looked a little more focused and ready to play but it's only 1 game. Waiting to see what happens over the next 2 weeks if they can maintain the focus and energy and improve their special teams

Like you said it was a win against a team thats struggling but SO ARE WE! One measly goal but I'll take it and see if this propels us to better things. Thanks for your coverage and heres to better times.
Last night was good to see but it was one game in the right direction. They looked committed to the night's task, McAvoy looked more like how we're used to seeing him play, Zadorov was efficient in his play, nothing fancy or risky as well as contributing his usual game of thumping people against the boards. As for the talk about them being slow, any club would when they're mailing in their effort. Don't forget they'd win a game under Montgomery then do a on-and-a-half gainer into the dumpster with a skating dead show the very next game. For me, it's a wait and see. If the B's truly have reset their mentalities and they're serious about it, we'll see next game in Detroit.
@bruinsdiehards I hear you. I was sure they'd straighten up and fly right after the double shut out weekend over Philly and Seattle. They'd "turned the corner." That corner must have been getting bigger because they looked brutal in losses that followed. For me, it wasn't so much they lost. It was HOW they played in those losses: Lackadaisical, disengaged, flat, no pride in themselves or the crest. Let's see which club comes out next game against the Wings.
I will take the win!!! But.....only 1 goal so struggling to score. Utah hit 3 posts and fanned on several other grade A chances. The energy was better for sure but it was only Utah. Curious for your thoughts do you give the net to Korpi in Detroit? I would as he has earned it.
Decent game. It's still very concerning that our powerplay was only 1 for 7 and the 1 goal they got was due to a serious breakdown on Utah's part by leaving 2 guys alone in front of the net. Our penalty kill is beginning to look much better as of late. We desperately need that powerplay to wake up and our secondary scoring guys to get scoring. Zacha, Coyle, Geekie are playing fairly decent but just can't get points consistently. Poor Fredrick was practically invisible tonight in part due to us being on the powerplay so much. If we could get those 4 going I think we would be in fine shape.
I agreee but I will say Utah’s goalie played fantastic. I was happy to the pwoetpkag actually move the puck around though. It was active instead of standing still.
whether it's scotty bowman or pee wee herman behind the bench, the volition needs to come from the players. i think playing every shift 100% will show more results than a new coach's systems. hockey is hockey. pass it ahead. hit the guy with the puck. shoot de puck. score de goal. in other words, i think sacco might have more of an effect mentally than strategically. i just hope that sacco doesn't believe in that defensive " zone " defense, like a football zone defense, the Bs have been playing. i couldn't tell where the " cover an area, not a man " BS ended and the passive no check Bs defense began. opposing forwards could camp out in front of the Bs net all night and not get touched. have a molson, boys. practice hard tomorrow. build on this win. it is a new start if you make it a new start.
