    Whoa, there's a beautiful 720 railcar there!

    They should rethink about scrapping them, maybe preserving them instead

      They've been sitting at Eskbank for years now, no one wants them

      Electrification in NSW goes nowhere. Plus Sydney Trains hates "foreigners" touching their precious wires.

    These should be put back into service or put in a museum

    Ok, a few comments before we all drown in dribble and foam:
    1) Lithgow State Mine Railway will NOT be preserving these 2 86 Class locomotives, simply because they do not own them. End of story. And they are not going to waste good money on these useless locomotives when they have other projects that require the money that would be spent on these.
    2) They WILL be scrapped. End of. Deal with it.
    3) 8601, 8606, 8607, 8644, 8646 and 8650 are all preserved. 8601 and tri-bo 8650 by Dorrigo Steam Railway and Museum, 8606 by SETS (stored at Junee), 8607 and 8644 privately and 8646 is at the New South Wales Rail Transport Musuem, Thirlmere.
    4) On the subject of Thirlmere, they WON'T be taking either of these 2. Deal with it.
    5) It is stupid comments like a large majority of the ones here that give Vloggers and foamers the reputation you have (well, that and the craptacular filming and narration you guys do). Do a little research and a world of answers opens up to you, instead of stupid comments on useless videos.
    Enjoy wallowing in your own stupidity. Ta.

      Well those so called stupid people see a brighter future for these locos although these locos have been scrapped by now at least people cared
      I stumbled across your stupid comment and thought that maybe someone should shut your mouth
      Keep negative thoughts to yourself ta!

    They should preserve them and transport them to the Thirlmere train museum

      Mate, you don't need to give me a lecture about Trainworks, I work there as a volunteer, I know the goings on of the place.
      And there is no point in keeping these 2x 86s. They've sat out in the open for years, they're both VERY badly affected by rust internally and externally, lots of parts missing, victims of vandalism, and are nothing else but good for scrap. The only people 'sad' or 'angry' about these locos being scrapped are mindless braindead foamers.

    • @Aaron-uf3sl
      @Aaron-uf3sl 8 лет назад

      ***** The only good parts on it are good for scrap value. Do you not get this? No one wants these engines, they will never run again and I look forward to the day that an oxy torch finally touches them.

    I noticed the tarp on RL306, is just because it's stored or is because of fire damage?

    Who can I contact about getting my hands on a Comeng badge? One of the full "Commonwealth Engineering" plates, with the coat of arms would be so good. I would pay quite a sum for either. If anyone has any information for me PLEASE let me know. I need one of those badges ... :)

    Class 86 electric locomotives should have been restored and pull double decker coaches that are in push pull configuration like comeng-kawasaki C3 MTA New York 🇺🇸 LIRR commuter service since they have identical acceleration to Cityrail T,L,R,S & V sets if the NSW government wanted to. Perhaps Cityrail Sydney trains & NSW trainlink should have sent their excutives to NJ Transit, Los Angeles Metrolink, MBTA Commuter Rail & MTA LIRR in the United States because they operate push-pull locomotive hauled double decker carriages in operation

    Hi there why don't they save them and give them to train works or valley heights museum. 😆

    • @jasondenham6515
      @jasondenham6515 8 лет назад

      Ok then would of been good to save them but I suppose the government will get more for them in scrap metal. 😢

    • @BR69843
      @BR69843 8 лет назад

      Government doesn't own these units. So they don't get the money from scrapping them.
