- Needed to replace this part on my wife's car. Made this video because I couldn't find one online. I'm a novice with cars but hope this helps with others who can't find where this part is located.
Just needed to say thank you. Garage wanted to charge $586 to get us "up and running today" . Ordered sensor from Amazon for 11 and bought a socket set for under 10. Took me, who knows nothing about cars, 15 minutes to replace it and the car has stared perfect since. Your video saved my family $560.
Awesome! Glad I could help save you some money. I would add though, if you're going to save that much, spend the extra money on an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) part vs an after-market part. They are designed for your engine and will have less potential of giving you more problems down the line.
Good to know! Thanks again
John Brodeur after the 10mm screw how do I take it out pull or twist it
I have a 2009 Santa Fe that when I turn left, mostly, seems to bang or feel like someone rear ended me. Was told it could be this sensor. Started when the weather started to get cold. I bought it used at 49k..with 51k on it.
Saved me a ton of time. I was about to start disassembling covers to find the sensor. Thanks!
great video swapped the part out in 10 minutes cleared the code, good to go. Thanks alot for taking the time to post this.
Found your video very helpful Mike!!!!! It's in the same location for a 2011 Accent. Thanks!!
Thanks for posting this. I just replaced mine and this video was very helpful.
Thanks Mike, having the same issue with my wife's car, getting knock sensor code as well, that one does not look like fun.
Thank you for the exact location. Great help.
Yes it does!! Thank you👍👍👍
Thanks for the video man, we got a code of P0339, crankshaft position sensor intermittent. Couldn't have found it with you, thanks.
Than you so much men for your help

thank you it did help!
It helped, but sometimes you could not tell if you are in the front of the car or the side
It did indeed help. THANKS!!!
Thank you! You are the Man !
i have a good question for everybody.... how do you install a new sensor without breaking it due to a new o-ring whether you install aftermarket part
Thank you, please do you remember the code you were getting was it P3800. helpful video
Isn't that the Camshaft Position sensor?
Yes
Thank You
cool. glad this was helpful.
Do all hyundias have a crankshaft, and a camshaft sensor ????
I cant find the camshaft sensor.. any help will be appreciated.
This one is the Camshaft sensor. Crankshaft sensor doesn't have a cable attached with the plug.
@@flatearth6057 i saw another video and the crankshaft sensor is under the car correct? i’m having an issue and trying to fix it myself
@@zamariafriend9511 Yes. I've replaced both of these on a friends car, but neither were the issue. The car still runs like shit and gets maybe a mile down the road before it gets so bad it stalls and wont crank unless it sits for a while. I'm at a loss at this point. I've read countless threads and nothing has worked. I think it's just an old tired Hyundai at this point. If you replace yours and still have the issue, let me know if you come up with something else that fixes the car if you're having the same rough idle issues.
What error code were you getting p0342
Happen to know were its located on a 2013 accent GLS...?
I do not. Like i mentioned in the video, im not a mechanic. I'd refer you your owner's manual or keep searching online, sorry.
What was your engine doing to cause you to replace it? Having problems with our accent and wondering if this is the cause
Brice Peyton if I remember right, it would stall when idling at a stop light or in traffic.
thank you very helpful
glad it helped!
Thank you, Sir!
Still reads that it's faulty even though i changed this.. thoughts?
Was it an OEM part or aftermarket? If aftermarket, it might be bad or not compatible, and try an OEM part. If you tried an OEM part, then take the car to a mechanic. All I can think of.
Any chance you have the specs on the 10mm bolt holding it in
Are you still replying to this thread? If so... We changed the fuel pump but my accent still isn't cranking... Any tips would be great.
Did you ever figure out your issue? Mine died on me today while driving, and won't restart, and I'm in the discovery process, trying to see all the options.
@@greenman360 did u find out what it was
@@spencerspencer1537 Timing belt. It had stripped all but a small handful of the teeth. Apparently it finally lost one too many.
Edit: In my case, throwing a new timing belt on it did the trick, I've put at least 5k on it since it happened.
@@greenman360 was it easy to get to the timing belt
@@spencerspencer1537 I bought a kit off Amazon for about $100, came with the belt, water pump and some pulleys. I knew somebody that was able to put it on for me, for not too much.
Will this work with 2011 accent
Yasin Rashiid I'm not a mechanic so I can't say for sure. But I can't imagine Hyundai making major engine changes from their 2010 model to their 2011 model. It's probably in the same place.
I think my car has a problem with this part. I'm going to try replacing it. How did you get to that bottom part? It looks like a really tight fit. Just didn't know if you had any quick tips on how to access it and if regular tools fit.
yea, it's tricky to get to. I just used a socket wrench with an extender to reach the nut.
But I am sure I can do it myself now thanks .
Does anyone know what the plug/wire is to the left of the CKPS. I have no idea what it is.THANKS
Eric its the oxygen sensor for the exhaust manifold
Thanks Master .
