Finally! Internet! We can upload videos! Here's one we had wanted to do for a while on Korean Bath Houses. We'll take you to one of Korea's most popular Jjimjilbangs, Spa Land, and show you around for this week's Wonderful Adventure Now Korea!
I'm with you Simon! I hate heat!!!!! I want to live where it never gets hot! 😭and I live in FL out of all places😭 but The cold never bother me anyway...😄
Eat Your Kimchi looks so relaxing. Now being a modern bath house it doesn't seem like there was a problem with having tattoos but is there usually a problem in other Jjimjilbangs even if they are also upscale?
I'm the same as you, Simon. I love the winter because you can easily warm up or cool down c: But when you're warm it's nearly impossible to cool down :c
I watched this back when it came out in 2015. 4 years later I got to go to spa land a handful of times during my time living there. Thank you for the inspiration and the memories that flowered from sharing your journey with us.
LOL I totally understand Simon, I hate the heat and humidity or anything hot... so winter is definitely my favorite season ;D Simon's reaction to every hot room at the jimjilbang was hilarious because I would do the same thing xD
It's not Polish, sorry to break it to you. We do that as well in Bulgaria. It's part of the orthodox tradition here (or pagan, if you take into account Easter's pagan origin).
NoirDesire yeah I didn't think so things like this are usually common around Eastern Europe but it is still a part of Polish tradition and Simon was talking about it in the context of a Polish Easter so it totally applies to Polish club
NoirDesire We do it for Greek Orthodox Easter too! yea and usually (in my family) one person keeps his egg kind of steady while the other one get one attempt to crack it, and then you switch the side of the egg facing up and switch roles. :)
I love it when Simon talks about Polish stuff, because I'm from Bulgaria and it's basically the same here. YAY, SLAVIC FOOD/TRADITIONS/CULTURE ETC.! :D
That looks so relaxing. !! I love spas. When I get a mani pedi the nail salon has the massaging chairs but these looked different between the legs of course. It makes me want to go but I have to wait because the roads are flooded sigh
Martina's impression of the "Magician" as Simon is in the chair left me laughing so hard! LOL but at the same time it feels good, so we're all curious now!
I came here after a week of backpacking Korea via train and had the most epic shower/bath/jjimjilsesh! It was winter and getting stuck in hostels where the boiler didn't work (and not getting to shower for fear of freezing) made the visit to spaland that much sweeter. AHHH SPALAND...how I love you... and miss you ㅠ_ㅠ..
50 degrees? my parents takes saunas every two days at 80 degrees at least and when I go visit, I love it :D (in finland) although I can't be in one for more than 15 minutes. It makes me feel very cleansed though, spiritually _and_ physically. I would love me some bath house.
When Simon started singing that song I couldn't help but think of DIP I almost died 😂 If you guys and Megan did a video together my life would be complete, ya'll are honestly most entertaining people I've ever watched on YT 😁❤️
Wow this video would've been so helpful when we went to Korea a few weeks ago. We went to our first jjimjilbang and it was nothing like the one you went to but then again yours is probably more "swanky". Those hot rooms are insanely hot and when we first entered we had no idea what those mini lockers were for and literally standing there like "um how are we gonna fit all out stuff in these tiny lockers?" Then we realized it was for shoes. Lol. Another great video guys! :)
I hope it helps make you smile and feel a little less sad. Here is my personal favourite video for a good laugh: ruclips.net/video/GsB8Kzt3c7Y/видео.html
So i recently moved to Busan and as i comment, i am sitting in SpaLand. I saw this video when it first came out and havent since but when i came here i didnt realize this was it. But i had a sense of deja vu and a lot of the areas seemed weirdly familiar. Then i attempted to make a sheep head and thats when i remembered your video... but i still wasnt a 100% sure it was the same place. So i came to rewatch the video and confirm. And l and behold, its the same place. cant believe i live only a couple subway stops away. And once again, thanks simon and martina foe inspiring to start my own adventure here in korea❤
Haha omg I love Simon's expressions! I went there to Spaland a few weeks ago and literally only stayed in the bathing area because I didn't know what else to do. I was afraid of walking into someplace naked I shouldn't, and I couldn't really see how to get to the other facilities. Just the baths alone though are great enough to stay for four hours.
There's a spa just like this in my hometown! I love the spa and go there all the time. I always get extra clean when I go and nap in the saunas or read or listen to an audio book. It's like the only time I have that I can 100% call my "me time"
There's a spa near where I live called King Spa and it's in the same style as in this video, except the area is smaller But it does work the same exact way and I've only gone once but I really miss it and would love to go again
I am late to the party here, but finally went to Spa Land in Busan. Great place! I enjoyed every moment of it. Despite the naysayers, the eggs were great with salt. Thanks for the recommendation. I would have never attempted to go without this video!
i feel like i've commented this on here before. hah. deja vu much. but i just have to say it again after rewatching. fav thing about swedish spa is the 4 degree pool right outside the sauna. no sauna is complete without freeze numbing water. it's the best. don't even need the sauna just dip in it between pools and step into every one like a new experience. switching between the spa and adventure bath sections doesn't even matter. all other water will seem nice in comparison. heck just stepping into it just to feel the inside air afterwards and not be freezing. ooo. love me some cold water.
So my local Korean spa provides all the soaps and such ( I still bring my own) and there is a tub where you can soak in jasmine tea! It is HEAVEN, there is a regular spa for nails and massages or body scrubs and a water park with slides and a lazy river, I spend at least 10 hours when I go. Also Simon, we have an "ice room" that is -1c , it's my favorite.
We have this in the tropical parts of Australia where you can bake in the humidity and wade in pools of water and best of all its free, we just call it going to the beach!
39 degrees celsius is not bad at all we get that in NY in the summer all the time, the sauna i sit in after the gym is usually like 172 fahrenheit which is like almost 78 celsius
I want to try this Spa Land so badly and drag my friends to it!!! I also want to add that I love your videos. They are so fun to watch plus they give me some great ideas for places to go to while I am in Korea : )
Honestly that is the most modern and luxurious 찜질방 i have seen. I have gone to so many because I’m korean and i go there every so often but that is the most luxurious place ever
No you’re totally right! This is a special Busan experience bc we lived for 8 years in Korea and Seoul and Bucheon 찜질방 are usually super casual and not fancy at allllllll 😂 I actually felt awkward here
Aww you didn't crack the eggs on each others heads! that's what we were told was the tradition by our Korean friends who went to the bath house with us and my travel buddies last summer. It hurts like crap but it's super funny.
the polish tradition that simon is talking about is a greek tradition too! we do that same egg breaking game at easter every year. i think it’s supposed to represent the breaking of the tomb or something.
When you opened the backdoor of the car, I was like: Yeaaahhh Giveaway!! But then you just beautifully arranged your stuff there haha #myfault. Enjoy your tour in Amarica greets Marloew from The Netherlands
EYK, you guys have been one of my biggest inspirations to start a RUclips channel, and honestly, I would not be giving this a shot if it weren't for you two! Love you two from the bottom of my heart ^^
I'd just like to use my early timing to thank you guys! Haha not only are your videos amazingly produced and consistently funny but you also helped me persuade family to allow me to travel to Korea! I shall see you in the future! Haha
In Louisiana, when I was growing up we did the egg thing too. It was called egg paqueing (sp?). It was a super big deal and remember being very selective of my eggs.
I have only been in two jjimjilbangs and this one was actually other one of them! The saunas weren't that warm, but the floor felt way too hot for my sensitive feet :D btw this is my first comment ever to someone else's video other than my own. I'm becoming a youtuber because of Simon and Martina! I really love these videos, because I'm currently as an exchange student in Korea, enjoying my last month before the semester ends. I really wanna go jjimjilbang at least once before heading back home.
After a few days in Korea, I can't help but wonder why it's so common for some places restaurants/clubs/nail salons/whatever to refuse to serve foreigners.
Eat Your Kimchi actually the egg fight on easter is not just polish its for all slavic countries following the orthodox ^^ I am bulgarian and we do it too. Painting the eggs too. I was so surprised to find out people in many other countries don't do that when I got older haha.
Kait x It's been a lot longer than that. Over a week! We've had terrible internet connection here in the US, but finally got the chance to upload this video :D
oh man! I'm so... heat and cold sensitive. Anything over 23 or under 10 degrees Celsius is a nightmare for me. I'm always sick or just can't function... I can't even imagine 70! Haha

Yay spas ! Thanks for the new upload ♡ Hugs from Sf Cali
Eat Your Kimchi you guys should do a collab video with Maangchi
ALMOST PARADISE!!!!! Hahahahaha!!! Simon, I was dying!! That was such a beautiful rendition! :P
Simon coming in and out of the rooms saying "nope" is me at life..
The section with the massage chair absolutely killed me.
greatest fear: being trapped in a sauna room and end up getting baked to death.
ishamaini1 At least it would smell like delicious bbq
yohopostop I feel like it'd be steamed ...meat lol or maybe slowly poached..
Trang Nguyen LOL ahah yes I think those sound more accurate...but aside from the details i've never stepped foot in a sauna before :P
I've only been in a hot tub before...it's so nice lol but man I never been in a sauna either
Your flesh would become all soft and fall off the bone :)
OMG!! the massage chair demonstration, had me laughing so hard, it made my stomach hurt.. You guys are so crazy...I love it.
I'm the same as you, Simon. I love the winter because you can easily warm up or cool down c:
But when you're warm it's nearly impossible to cool down :c
Try having summer in Australia...
Jess Metcalfe Unless you work outside...
Estephany De Luna Good thing I'm an illustrator! xD
lol likewise
I watched this back when it came out in 2015. 4 years later I got to go to spa land a handful of times during my time living there. Thank you for the inspiration and the memories that flowered from sharing your journey with us.
I love it when simon just takes a step in then goes nope into like every room because they were too hot.
LOL I totally understand Simon, I hate the heat and humidity or anything hot... so winter is definitely my favorite season ;D Simon's reaction to every hot room at the jimjilbang was hilarious because I would do the same thing xD
I love it when Simon talks about Polish stuff I feel like I'm in some cool kind of club of Polska
Konstancja Siewierska POLSKA CLUB, UNITE!
Eat Your Kimchi HECK YEAH
It's not Polish, sorry to break it to you. We do that as well in Bulgaria. It's part of the orthodox tradition here (or pagan, if you take into account Easter's pagan origin).
NoirDesire yeah I didn't think so things like this are usually common around Eastern Europe but it is still a part of Polish tradition and Simon was talking about it in the context of a Polish Easter so it totally applies to Polish club

I loved it when Simon busted out the "Almost Paradise" impromptu song! hahaha love it! I sooo want to go to one of these!
I also hate warm rooms. The best part with saunas is jumping into a cold lake afterwards.
Me too. It's so suffocating. Same with the car heating at winter time...
Eszter Bódi I kind of enjoy the car heating in the winter. But that might be because i live in Sweden. It gets pretty cold :p
Eszter Bódi But i enjoy running outside in a tshirt at winter some times. It is so refreshing.
Lol... Actually there are enough cold Winters at Hungary too. Not as tough like at you but stilll....
Anyways car heating most of the time sucks for me... :)
Loved the Simon cuddle at the end!
how!! did!! i!! not!! watch!! this?? i watch all your videos as soon as they come out wth how did i miss out this one
So glad Martina went to the sauna since she has joint issues. The warm rooms definitely helped her body!
I love it when Simon talks about Polish stuff, because I'm from Bulgaria and it's basically the same here. YAY, SLAVIC FOOD/TRADITIONS/CULTURE ETC.! :D
Jessy Nedelchev oh and fyi, that was indeed the most wrong way of doing the egg fight, like EVER
We do it in Italy and France too !!
Jessy Nedelchev in Moldova it's the same :)
Jessy Nedelchev We also do it in Greek tradition but only in Easter and we paint the eggs red. :3
That looks so relaxing. !! I love spas. When I get a mani pedi the nail salon has the massaging chairs but these looked different between the legs of course. It makes me want to go but I have to wait because the roads are flooded sigh
Spanish subtitles are up now as well! Thank you to whoever made them :D
+Simon and Martina :D
That chair impersonationreally got me laughing out loud!
As always your videos are entertaining when nothing else can entertain me.
Whenever I see that you've posted a video, my day is instantly 10x better! Thanks for uploading! :D
Martina's impression of the "Magician" as Simon is in the chair left me laughing so hard! LOL but at the same time it feels good, so we're all curious now!
When I visited Korea last summer I went to Spa Land and it was great!! I am so glad you guys showed this place off
I don't know why, but this is one of my favorite episodes. Can't wait to go to Korea myself!
ahhh i feel relaxed just watching this...
I came here after a week of backpacking Korea via train and had the most epic shower/bath/jjimjilsesh! AHHH SPALAND...how I love you... and miss you ㅠ_ㅠ..
Yaayy new video!! Hope you guys are having fun on tour!!
Spriha S. Oh it's awesome! Everyone has been so lovely :D

Simon + hot air/weather is truly my spirit animal.

Woah!!! I've never been this fast for a video!!!! I have achieved greatness.
I love jimjilbangs! I've yet to visit Korea and the ones we had in Los Angeles were tiny in comparison, but they were so much fun.
Martina looks so cute without make up..what a cutie!
When i am sad, i watch your old videos again and again❤️
I hope it helps make you smile and feel a little less sad. Here is my personal favourite video for a good laugh: ruclips.net/video/GsB8Kzt3c7Y/видео.html
Glad you covered this topic!! Stay safe on tour

Yayy a new video! I'm kinda new to your channel, but I love it!

Thanks for these tip :) Definetely going to visit one bath house next time!
I am late to the party here, but finally went to Spa Land in Busan. Great place! I enjoyed every moment of it. Despite the naysayers, the eggs were great with salt. Thanks for the recommendation. I would have never attempted to go without this video!
They all seem so peaceful here. I feel happy for them. 😊

OMG SIMON AND MARTINA YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!
Yay! So happy to see your new video!!
It looks quite fancy and nice there
So my local Korean spa provides all the soaps and such ( I still bring my own) and there is a tub where you can soak in jasmine tea! omg what a fun video!! i love martina's interpretation of "the magician" and simon's facial expressions hahaha!!
Omg centum is where i live.. never imagined you guys would come here wow !!!
I'd be like Simon! Hate the heat, i'm a cold weather person!
Daebak!! But don't get too comfy...you still have to make it through to Chicago. See you there!
Omg! i've been here when I went to Busan and it was one of the best experience while in Korea!
I have been there!!! It is one of the best spas in Korea
I looove spaland! Its my favourite!

The way Simon noped out of every hot room is literally me in hot weather and non-aircondition rooms/houses in hot weather. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Im having a very bad night. and i was so excited to see that yall posted a new video
you always cheer me up
thank you
Aww you didn't crack the eggs on each others heads! that's what we were told was the tradition by our Korean friends who went to the bath house with us and my travel buddies last summer. It hurts like crap but it's super funny.

You two compliment each other so well :)!

Spaland! I went there! And it was great!
I saw that price list behind you...so much cheaper than the places in Dallas but so much better!
This was hilarious! But thank you for this, I needed ideas what to do when I'm in Korea this coming fall, definitely checking this place out!
EYK, you guys have been one of my biggest inspirations to start a RUclips channel, and honestly, I would not be giving this a shot if it weren't for you two!
Love you two from the bottom of my heart ^^
they have a few of these stateside in the us. I know of 2 in the dallas tx area and one in chicago
I've been to one of these before it's really nice and relaxing and the main area is so warm lol
Oh, the side by side of the "Magician" massage chair had me cracking up. It started off so innocent... lol.
AHHAha! That magician chair demo was HILARIOUS!!!
yes!! got here early! hiiiiiee! love you! from tallinn, estonia
I went to a bathhouse in Itaewon after a night of partying... It was amazing!
Ohh I'm so early😄 thank you for this video! ❤
I'd just like to use my early timing to thank you guys! Haha not only are your videos amazingly produced and consistently funny but you also helped me persuade family to allow me to travel to Korea! I shall see you in the future! Haha
Omg i died at Martina and Simons split screen for the magician chair😂😂😂 Hilarious. ..
Oh goodness I was laughing so hard people are looking at me, LOL!! Love it.
At the Korean spa I go to here in Chicago there is an ice room which is my favorite :)
In Louisiana, when I was growing up we did the egg thing too. It was called egg paqueing (sp?). It was a super big deal and remember being very selective of my eggs.
I frikin luv that place! Best spa in korea!!!!
I was crying every time he said "nope" to a new room with a smile on his face.
Simon should come here to the finnish sauna. In Finnish saunas the temperature is around +80 °C
Wow that spa looks sooo nice!!
Thank you so much for this Video !
***** Thank you for watching it!
I love that Duluth, Ga has a Jeju Sauna very similar to this :)
Still laughing at Simon going into every single room and leaving within 5 seconds with a big "NOPE."
After a few days in Korea, I can't help but wonder why it's so common for some places restaurants/clubs/nail salons/whatever to refuse to serve foreigners.
Because they cant speak english
Eat Your Kimchi actually the egg fight on easter is not just polish its for all slavic countries following the orthodox ^^ I am bulgarian and we do it too. Painting the eggs too. I was so surprised to find out people in many other countries don't do that when I got older haha.
I've been waiting for a video for so long!! (Even though it was like... 4 days) 0:
Kait x It's been a lot longer than that. Over a week! We've had terrible internet connection here in the US, but finally got the chance to upload this video :D
Missed this so much
Haha in Finland we casually stay in 70 degrees celsius saunas. 70 isn't even hot.
Ania Séraphin You are completely right! (torilla tavataan!)
70 degrees? Nice.
80 degrees? Even better.
90 degrees? Still possible.
Yet I'm roasting when it's 25 degrees outside xD
Torilla tavataan indeed!
Yeeeep same xD
Yeah we have a 200 years old sauna in our yard and it's usually 50-80 degrees inside when heated!
TORILLE!!
Finland had a competition where people died. Best is moderate heat so it penetrates.
oh man!
I'm so... heat and cold sensitive. Anything over 23 or under 10 degrees Celsius is a nightmare for me. I'm always sick or just can't function... I can't even imagine 70! Haha
