This place is like heaven. I've been here for 3 times already. The first was with my family, and the 2nd and 3rd was by myself. The pool was one of my favorite parts of Spa World. The first time I came in was a little awkward for me because everyone was naked, and I don't like hanging out with naked dudes, because it felt weird for me, but I got used to it when I stayed longer in the pool and also that I always look straight ahead of me, not down(directly down at my feet is allowed to check where I am walking) cuz u know why, and the red clay ball room was also one of my favorites because it felt nice or more precisely relaxing when I lay down at the red clay balls. Overall, this place is really cool and highly recommend it to everyone for relaxation(obviously) or to relieve stress. Cool video, very informational.
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment and I so agree. Same thing with me I've been with friends and a handful of times by myself and the pool is the only thing that takes some getting used to...but I can't deny that their water pressure is amazing...love showering there.
Yes girl. I’m from that area and used to work there. The Restaurant at the spa isn’t that great. Go to honey pig after. It’s a couple doors down from the spa
Awesome video! I've been thinking about going to a Korean spa for the first time and was a little nervous about the nudity but it's nice that there are plenty of areas to enjoy fully clothed
I love this place. I used to go all the time when i lived in Maryland. Now it's 6 hours away but i still go when i'm up there. I wish they'd open fully soon!
Thank you So much for sharing your experience! My best friend and I have been debating going here for years now and we’re thinking about going this weekend
Before you go to the Spa World, 1. Bring some cash for buying the tickets. 2. Go to H-mart (Right near building)and purchase the groceries over $50. Do not buy a refrigerator or freezer items. 3. Go to customer service and show your receipt and 50% off pay cash for tickets. *Weeken night will be great. You can check out the next morning. 12 hours you and your family could stay there.
so much fun watching you ladies. My thumbs up. And about BiBimBob... there should be a a hot and sweet Korean GoChuJang Sauces that you mix it with. You add that sauce to your stoneware rice bowl with rice and mixed vegtables. vegetables and mildly seasoned. And idea is that you add an ideal amount of that Korean Gochjang Red Sauce to your best taste. Really enjoyed your Korean JhimJilBang expeirne.
The "shady" stuff I believe has happened in the men's locker-room. A friend of mine got hit on by another client while in the pools. The person was creepy and touched my friends feet with his own trying to get his attention. Other than that, I haven't heard anything else. I've been going there for 3 years now.
Spa world has definitely been associated with some shady stuff - it even got shut down once for human trafficking, haha. But it’s definitely still an awesome place and the food is bomb
I used to go to Spa World every 2 weeks when I lived in the DC area and had access to a car (with Groupon, you could get the price down to $20 a visit). It's one of the things I miss most having left the area. I haven't seemed to have found anything like it (water spa of any culture) here in the Tidewater VA area. (Which is kinda funny because my town does have a Korean population.) I haven't watched the video yet to see if you mention it but the scrubs are amazing as well. You come out so relaxed and so smooth!
I absolutely love SpaWorld...my first visit I had a body scrub...traumatized my whole life...LoL I really do need to do a story time about it. The issue for me was I was not expecting it to be in the public bath area.
I know this is an old video, but the bibimbap was missing the gochujang. It’s the red chili sauce that is in a ketchup looking bottle. Start off with a tablespoon, mix it in, and add more to taste. It’s slightly sweet and not too spicy in most places.
Wow Ladies! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I love going to spas and I have always wanted to visit the Spa World. For sure, I will do it! Thank You!
The first sauna I went to like that was very similar, except they had a full state of the art gym upstairs. This one woman lost her bracelet and started crying because they charged this ridiculous amount to replace it. Luckily she had just came from the scrub area and someone turned it in.
Nope...there's no specific order that I know of. Most times I start with the coolest room and then move up to the hottest and then sometimes I start with the least crowded.
It's nice to see you all in Korea without having to put up with jet lag. The place is worth going base on the different benefits you wrote. I see a Tous les Jours (everyday) on the right side of the building. I read that is supposed to be a bakery. Nice to see you can jump from Korea to France in a short walk.
Every time I visit this place, with all of its great benefits, I ask myself why don't I schedule this in at least once a month...its very inexpensive - $40 for 12 hours.
I have now visited twice. It's quite a bit cheaper than going to the newer King Spa. The Bade pool is nice and relaxing. I also got a body scrub with a facial and deep tissue massage. Yes, you are naked but you get over it quickly. If you can, go during the midweek when there are fewer people. Also, leave your phone in your locker and enjoy some disconnect time. Some folks were rude talking loudly in the Bade pool (sound carries) and in the saunas. Also one guy was watching a video with sound (no ear buds), but overall both times I have been were good experiences. I did not eat in the restaurant because I was fasting while there. Go to Groupon for a discount.
Looks great. I grew up in Jeju Island so a lot of this looks familiar. For the bibimbap, you're supposed to add some of the red chili sauce "gochujang" which also adds some saltiness. i add a lot to mine
I was just in Fairfax and would have loved to gone to this Korea Spa. $25 for 55+ is a great deal! The stone rice you are suppose to add that red sauce you were given, otherwise no taste like you said.
Thanks for the video! I want to go to one of these but I struggle to breathe in 90 degree weather when it’s humid and I was wondering if it will be a waste for me to go. I don’t have asthma but my airways are just sensitive to dry/humid air. Do you get used to the thickness of the air?
They definitely have different rooms at different temperatures so I think its something you could go and experiment with. As for me, I do get used to the thickness in the air.
@@kelcibee1648 The pool area smells like pool - nothing unusual. And I don't remember there being a smell (like sweat and body odor) and a big part is because the crystals and natural materials that are used kill the bacterias that cause an odor.
I’m so glad you posted this. I saw a Groupon and wanted to go. Can you bring your own blankets/pillows/towels? My back is super weak and I would need some more cushion.
I always do bring my own backpack full of stuff to include a blanket and a white towel. I think they discourage people bringing stuff like that...but I just make it kind of blend in (white towel vs other color) and no one's ever said anything to me.
I'm so glad you guys went 😂 I used to go as a kid all the time but haven't been there in years now. Probably been a whole decade since I went last but I'm planning on going soon. This video brought back a lottt of nostalgia for me, I forgot what everything looked like.
Thanks for vlogging this. I have questions... lol Are you able to trade in your outfits for new ones in between sweat rooms or do you keep the same one?

But they had nothing on the Korean spa of modern times. Search for bathhouses row of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Enjoyed your explanations.
Thanks for the tour, I fell in love with Korean spas when in Seattle/ Tacoma area. I need to visit this when I'm the DC area been looking to visit one when in DC. But is there one closer to metro DC?
Me & my sister fell in love with the "naked" spa in Tacoma. (Um we call it the naked spa :) ). When I'm on one of mini vacays I need to speed a day at this one, less than a two hour drive is better than flying across the country. Again thanks for the video I never like to go to a spa unless I get a look around first.
There is on in Annandale called Spa Riverside. But this one is only the Korean bathhouse/wet area only. This one is not the full spa/jjimjilbang. It cost only $20.00 half price compared to Spa World’s $40.00 price tag. I like both spas.
Thank you so much for this video. I appreciate the followup comments about how the pool is nude only LOL so if I go, I can avoid that section if "im not ready". I also love how you showed each room and the benefits.

Kind of. I say this because the towels they give you are the size of hand towels so they won't do the trick. I actually pack a white full sized towel from home and have gotten away with that. A color towel, they may stop you at the door.
All are required to be nude in the bathhouse/wet area part of the locker room. Only inside the locker room can one be nude. It is gender separated. Just normal male and female locker rooms. It is a family place so some moms do bring their daughters into the bathhouse/wet area with them and both will be completely naked in the bathhouse/wet area.
Yes that's why it's called a bathouse, theres no chlorine in the hottubs.the reason for this is back in the old farm days in Korea people had to go to the rivers to bath.of course men and women took their turns in going there.
Sorry I didn’t know if it was like a pool where you go in separately and then go in a big pool together. I have never heard of it before, wasn’t being disrespectful just curious because my boyfriend and I want to go together so we wanted to know if we would be together in the pool together or not and how exactly it would be.

Kind of. I say this because the towels they give you are the size of hand towels so they won't do the trick. I actually pack a white full sized towel from home and have gotten away with that. A color towel, they may stop you at the door.
You're supposed to put red hot sauce on the bibimbab.
SOUTH KOREAN!! not NORTH KOREAN!!
Did I say North Korea? I used to live in South Korea.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I assume they segregate male and females here so it wouldn't be a place for couples to go or what?
the only place they are separated is the changing rooms and the pools/baths since its full nudity. Other than that...its a great place for couples.
I've gone to a similar place like this in Germany, it was also nude but fully coed. 🤷🏿
@@TyroneUnplugged Oh wow....yup...I wouldn't be comfortable at all walking around naked with a bunch of naked dudes...LoL
Neither was I but my girl was with me and we were good
Naked pool????
Hahahaha...yes girl yes
All are required to be nude in the bathhouse/wet area part of the locker room. Only inside the locker room can one be nude. It is gender separated. Just normal male and female locker rooms. It is a family place so some moms do bring their daughters into the bathhouse/wet area with them and both will be completely naked in the bathhouse/wet area.
Yes that's why it's called a bathouse, theres no chlorine in the hottubs.the reason for this is back in the old farm days in Korea people had to go to the rivers to bath.of course men and women took their turns in going there.
So do the people wear bathing suits or are they naked?! 🤭
Naked!
Are men and women separated or together? I’m curious how this would work, I have never heard of this.
In the bath house, women are with women and men are with men...so yeah, separated.
Sorry I didn’t know if it was like a pool where you go in separately and then go in a big pool together. I have never heard of it before, wasn’t being disrespectful just curious because my boyfriend and I want to go together so we wanted to know if we would be together in the pool together or not and how exactly it would be.
I completely understand...before I went for the first time, I called them to see if I could wear a swimsuit...they gave me a big fat no...LoL
