      I appreciate. That's exactly the vibe I'm going for. I like talking to the camera from the actual place instead of using narration. Sometimes it can make the sound muffled when I'm in a windy place. But I want to make it seem like the viewer is there with me. I'm glad you like them!

      Thank you! I try and put a lot into my videos so I appreciate the compliment. I'm sure there's a method to monetize and grow subscribers but I'm more interested in traveling and video production. I get a kick out of it and love it when other people enjoy the videos too. Have fun on your trip. You'll be enchanted. It's truly awesome!

    Planning my first trip to the Isle of Skye, I find your footage very well shot, really helpful and very vividly explained. The landscape is monumental and it definitely justifies my decision to travel there.
    Skye is an awesome place with a holy ambience that really deserves attention and respect. I only hope that tourists and travellers visiting Skye will revere this unique place and appreciate the bold wilderness, the beauty and the surrounding light, whether in a sunshine, foggy or storm-ridden day.
    Many thanks for this excellent work.

    If I could suggest anything for your channel it would be to voice your commentary inside somewhere else than outside. And I know it's better to just talk about it at the place you're at then to talk about it later, however the wind muffles your mic which then blocks hearing the important facts you are sharing. Just trying to help.

    • @wordslikefire662
      @wordslikefire662  4 года назад +1

      Great pointer. I'll keep that in mind next trip. Like you said I always think it's better to talk about the place in the moment. The wind makes it tricky though. Especially in Scotland. The wind is no joke there!

    • @wordslikefire662
      @wordslikefire662  3 года назад

      I'm happy this was helpful! There may be a reason why you couldn't find the castle people were walking around. That's because that castle is not actually in Skye. It's called Urquhart Castle, and it's right on Loch Ness. I didn't feature it in the video since it's not in the Skye region, but I really wanted to see Lock Ness so I included it anyway. Never saw the monster though! Dang!

    Hi
    I have just seen your video
    Very nice and calming and best thing was the advice you gave about photography regarding the lighthouse
    Keep it up brother
    One thing for advice please? What would be best place location wise to stay if we want to visit these places plus fairy pools
    Thanks
    Also are we allowed to cook our foods as finding halal food might be difficult

    • @wordslikefire662
      @wordslikefire662  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! Honestly, I think one of the most convenient places to stay if you want to check out the fairy pools would be the Sligachan Hotel. That's the same one I stayed at. I didn't have enough time to see the pools, but they are located pretty close. Regarding if you are allowed to cook your food at Sligachan Hotel, I'm not sure. If you are worried about that you may have better luck renting a room or apartment with a kitchen in Portree, as that is the biggest town in Skye and likely will give you better options. Good luck!

    While you were discussing the Old Man of Storr, you failed to mention that the Old Man was used as a location for some early scenes in the film 'Promtheus', directed by Ridley Scott. It is when they discover more cave paintings depicting the 'Engineers'.
