Don't know about now, but I remember, that the turning radius on the Nissan Titan made it a hassle to manuever in a parking lot. I think, that a slightly shorter wheelbase would have solved that.

The Nissan Titan is a solid dependable truck. The problem for most people I know who didn't buy them, was simply due to the looks. If Nissan had built the Warrior Concept; I doubt they could have built them fast enough. I'm guessing Management/Marketing are too busy with personal wineries, or vacation homes to focus on the brand and model. Shame they aren't selling more.

I was driving a lot as a traveling therapist.. At least 25k to 30k per year. I had an accident in the first one. It was totaled. The hood was bent half way back. The frame was bent. Couldn’t open the passenger door. It would still crank and drive. They are built like tanks.. It was hard to get stuck in mud in it. I would try to get it stuck on purpose.. My Dad was a Ram guy. His truck stayed in the shop. He finally got a F150. It stayed in the shop too. The only things I had to do with my Titans were get an oil change and change the battery. I want another one so bad but gas is to high and the price of vehicles have risen tremendously

I have had 3 Nissan trucks, 87 extended cab 4x4 ,then a 93 Hardbody extended cab 4x4, and a 2006 Titan which im still driving today with 270,000 miles. Every one of those trucks were and are like timex watches, i swear you can't kill them. Yes the Titan has annoying little electrical issues but it always passes inspection, always runs strong and rarely in the shop for mechanical problems. I live down the street from a Jeep and Ram dealership and those trucks are constantly in the bays, and crate engines stacked in the back.

Don't want the electronic parking brake or dial shifter that can leave you stranded if they break. Heck, I wish it had a distributor with points and condensers. Those are things I can fix out on the open road. When it comes to mechanical reliability, I want something simple to get me to my towing destination. I love the backup camera, the blind spot sensors, active cruise control, Android auto, and all that too. But if that stuff goes down, i can still get to where I'm going.

I looked hard at buying a new Nissan truck in 2020 since my 2007 Nissan Frontier had 267,000 miles with few problems. What I didn't like about the new truck was the spark plugs took a lot of work to access and weird gunnels running down the middle of the bed. It would take extra work to clean the bed out of manure for no reason. I ended up buying a 2018 F-150 eco- boost for cheap that I've been very happy with since I drive like the old man farmer I am. I average 20 to 22 mpg on the highway just like my 2007 Frontier with its 4 cylinders. It seems most truck manufacturers have lost touch with what truck owners want in the past few years.

The biggest issues are the paint job failure and that it had 3 brake jobs before 13,000 miles but only 1 since then. Drove it 2000 miles pulling a full trailer. Great truck just needs normal maintenance. Sad Titans are going away, but may buy a newer used one.

A friend I know that had a Nissan Titan had a rear differential failure while pulling a modest sized toy hauler trailer for dirt bike adventures. It had something to do with conventional gear lube used in the rear differential (from the factory) and it overheated/broke. Nissan discussion forums suggested that all new owners should drain out the conventional gear lube and replace it with Mobil1 synthetic gear lube for trouble free towing.

No Rust and located in the Northeast. Daily Driver for a few years, and yes I power wash the undercarriage in the Winter and it being in a garage and low miles got it this far. A few recalls the first year or so, but nothing that keep it overnight anywhere but home.

I just looked at the Titan had one of the original models when they first came out. I lived in MT then, loved the truck. I now live in St. Louis area, have had a Tundra, then a Tacoma. Just purchased a Frontier as that is a right sized truck for my needs. I don’t tow but love it is a not a turbo. So far I love the ride and performance. From what I can tell, these are very reliable as well. Perfect mix of tried and true tech, without leading edge that can break.

I love our 2008 Nissan Pathfinder with the 4.0 liter engine. But the Nissan company itself screwed up. Those engines had a problem that radiator fluid would leak into the transmission fluid and destroy the transmission. By the time you noticed the transmission was acting up, it was too late. I had to replace the radiator and transmission. The company knew about the problem but did nothing about it and didn’t do any kind of recall to have everything fixed. The expense fell on the owner of the vehicle.
Still have the pathfinder cause it runs like a champ, but I will never buy another Nissan ever again because of what the company did. They are more crooked than a witches broom and they made a ton of money off of the defect.

My 06 Titan has almost 400k miles on it, still runs strong and has given my very few problems over the years and I bought it at 200k miles already on it from a guy who neglected the hell out of it and did little to no maintenance. Sad that these trucks get slept on so much that they're being discontinued. They're absolutely bullet proof.

2011 Toyota Rav4 6 cyl 4WD. Is that Alternator test where people pull the negative wire off the battery to see if the car dies still relevant? I was driving home last night. Car started fine I didn't notice anything, sat still with my lights on at night for maybe a minute, not long at all. I drove off and suddenly accelerating into an intersection I lost my power steering but engine was still running. I was losing power fast. I killed the lights and fans anything I could think of and got it home in the dark. In the morning I had a friend jump it. I left the cables on like 5 minutes before jumpstart. I had power steering back but after driving for around 20 seconds I lost steering again. I think I have a bad battery but people I ask tell me they think its the alternator. I went to Auto Zone and nobody there knew how to test my alternator.

Depends on the years you purchase if its truly "bullet proof". To anyone looking to buy a Titan/Armada/NV/QX with the 5.6 liter V8, do not buy the 2013 model of any of them. They have timing chain issues and its very expensive to replace. Personally I wouldn't touch the 2014s either because nobody knows exactly when Nissan fixed the issue.

We have a 06 Nissan Titan and it ran perfectly great, has 230 some thousand miles on it, the only downfall is around 215,000 miles the axle seals started leaking, we have replaced them to many times to count(fully assembled and assembled our self’s) still leaks, and it throws the oxygen sensor codes and we have done so many things still won’t go away. They are reliable but once one problem occurs then it’s like a whole bunch of problems occur. I will definitely miss it when my dad sells it for another vehicle.

Won’t go near any Nissan. Had a Pathfinder where the digital dashboard would just half disappear and half show absolute nonsense if the temperature was above 30 Celsius.
The service department at the dealership suggested exchanging lower priced items that could be faulty before we go all out and exchange the whole thing. They had never seen anything like that before.
Picking up the vehicle from a service early I struck up a conversation with the mechanic and he told me all about his experience with that issue.
Either the service manager didn’t talk to the mechanic or they were trying to sell me all the parts and the whole new unit because nothing else would work. Either way, never even considered another Nissan.
