- Some GoPro footage of a beautiful Lion's Mane Jellyfish (Cyanea Capillata) whilst snorkelling from St Abb's (Scottish Borders) in August 2020. This particular jelly was about half a metre in diameter.
This species loves the cool temperate waters found around the Scottish coast and this was the third sighting of the day.
I saw a ton of these in scotland in the summer they're terrifying when you are swimming and see one
They look beautiful but they have a nasty sting! Can be hard to avoid with their super long tentacles too.
