Great idea. Simple, cheap and effective. I've used the Signature Solar claps before and I was thinking of using some unistrut in a particular place instead of the 6" mini rail they sell also. I'll still use the flashing, just replace the mini rail with a long length of unistrut. They sell two different thread adapters for the unistrut but a washer will be much cheaper I'm sure. The clamps also come in different heights for different thickness panels.
Right, I think it's the lowest cost while still being solid. I was going to use all wood at first but I think the Unistrut will keep things straighter in the long run. Thanks for watching!
Just an additional idea. Put a spring between the nut and clamp/washer. Works greats for the ones between the panels to keep the clamps up and not fall over when you try to position the 2nd panel.
Good idea!
Keep up the good work!!!

I just used the hokey washer, 3/4” gray pvc spacer way on my 47kWp.
🤣
