This might sound a very strange request. 🤔🤔. I need a helmet with an integrated goggles/visor as a wear a high prescription. I also suffer from dry eyes and my conjunctiva and corona can become inflamed, so have to be careful in blocking the wind in the winter. I also need to use the helmet at night, with only a light to light the way. However, I won’t be using this for skiing, but for night time winter cycle commuting. So my question is, would the yellow lens be go enough for night time use with limited light or do you do a fully clear lens? I’m really struggling with solutions at the moment and your helmet/visor/goggle looks like a solution, well apart from the lens colour. Could you really help me out with this please. Many thanks
not a strange request at all - this is the main reason i think of this design over the Salomon Driver/Mirage. I also am thinking about this beed to keep out the wind. Strangely it is not mentioned in any of the review videos but lots of people bring up in comments. I haven't tried either helmets but my gut feeling is the Head will be better for this aspect (although the Salomon system looks a bit cooler and easier to flip up and down).
@@realelliotisaacs I ended up buying a pair of Wiley x boss prescription goggles/glasses that have a removable gasket to keep the wind out. Not cheap but are excellent in cold weather and have really helped with my dry eyes whilst cycling
I wish they also offered a photochromic lens so that you could go from low light to high without having to swap out lenses. Great review as always. Thank you!
The helmet is perfect. The only problem I am facing with it so far is the availability of transparent goggles. For some reason, they’re out of stock everywhere. If HEAD would be so kind to contact me and provide the damn transparent lens, I would be VERY thankful. Except for this little problem, the helmet is just amazing.
Asking around on this, is there a way to add a bluetooth audio system to this helmet? I love the design, but that is the one big sticking point I am wondering about.
