Since you like this song I urge you to watch the a cappella version with amazing harmonies privately, it is just as good but for different reasons: youtu . be/CFzExUN1N8I
In all of her live performances thst I've seen , the crowd is mesmerized by her voicevsn melody and no one dare to make a sound as to not disturb her . It always takes thrm a few seconds to start cheering and claping .
One of my favorite performances. She's the best. Check out her new song "Heathens" live performance. It's really Good. Another good one for you is "Winter Bird" live at Nidarosdomen
There are still so many beautiful songs, little jewels, of Aurora to listen and watch.
Things that will touch your heart forever.
Runaway (ah, you did it, it's the next one of your reacts I'm watching), Running with the wolfes, Lucky, The River, The seed, Queendom and so on.
Once you've had the chance and blessing to see and hear Aurora... there's no going back. And that's just perfect.
And I either, can' t understand why she isn't much famous.
I will never stop reacting to Aurora
She is as vulnerable as finely spun glass and as strong as high carbon steel. Her art rips you apart and heals you at the same time. Who does that? Her art is almost too intense to bear, but you can't look away. She is a siren in the form of a wood nymph. Resistance is futile!
Recky, thanks for this heartfelt reaction to Aurora's 'Through The Eyes Of A Child'. It is breathtaking in the beauty of her songwriting, the performance including all of the musicians along with the men's choir and Silja Sol backing Aurora's vocal line in the third verse. Plus, the recording and camera work are outstanding. It all came together so well.
Please have a listen to another 'slow song' from this concert, Aurora's 'Lucky' - ruclips.net/video/AmTiqR2_VAw/видео.html&start_radio=1
This performance of her song 'Lucky' is a magical experience. Everything, comes together to hold me enthralled and captivated. So powerful - I hear a person that has gotten to the verge of suicide many times and is numb to the possibility of escaping that path. Then, in the bridge she says "But, I know that its time to let go." And the final chorus is more jubilant, hopeful and uplifting. Letting go of "what lies behind" and feeling how lucky they are to be alive and "see the light".
Yes this is still my favorite performance of hers, just amazing.
A great reaction Recky. However, you stopped too soon and you missed the end. Aurora breaks our hearts with this masterpiece but she gives us a sweet smile at the end to let us know that everything will be alright after all. Aurora looks as though she stepped out of a Botticelli painting in this concert. The whole Nidarosdomen performance is a work of art in every respect.
Such an awesome place to have a concert in. The sound is amazing! And so is Aurora. I have to take a look on what I missed out on. Sorry about that.
@@Reckyj Initially the cathedral authorities were reluctant to let the concert proceed. Fortunately, for us and future generations, they changed their minds.
I love Aurora..... I've been listening to her for years.......USAF VETERAN
Moved beyond words, just moved beyond words ❤️
Thank you so much for your great reaction to the most beautiful song and performance ever 🙏🙂💖
Aurora sings to our inner child, don't let yours be hidden in the shadows, let it out, see the world as it should be seen...
To answer the question: why isn't she more famous? I would answer: she don't care. So she doesn't go on every pop show to promote her stuff, she doesn't give many entreview and specialy not to pop star magazine and yellow paper. She sing to heal those who want to be heal, she doesn't want to ''explaine'' and ''justify''. The most funny thing about that is when Taylore Swift tweet that Anrora was the best she have heard for long time( Swift has millions of follower, about 5 years ago) so that gave a pushe to Aurora channel and many views, when a guy ask her if she was happy that Swift like her music she just said : I don't know her, but like for others I'm happy for her! That is Aurora :-)
I mean even if she cared, its still strange.
'The dagger' is certainly a wellput reaction. Aurora touches subjects and emotions we don't always are aware they exist. Still they have such a big influence on how we perceive things. Why? Because she touches everyone in the same way. This means it is universal, it is pure human, but still it is beyond our comprehension.
I teared up again, thanks 😅
I agree with everything you said , and you pronounced Nidarosdomen very well 👍
There are some songs that I think is better to watch the official videos first, and those are (I can’t remember if you’ve reacted to some of those, I think not🤔):
“Winter Bird”
“Queendom”
“The Seed” 🥰
All new suggestions! 🙏
This hits me right in The heart..Magic! Thanks for posting!
Ive said that same thing for a while now: Why doesnt everyone who appreciates music know Aurora? Without a doubt, the best female singer and voice alive today!
sorri, but no. she is brilliant, indeed, but susanne sundfor and anna von hausswolff deliver a wider range both vocally and musically
Thanks for bring her back to your channel, well appreciated.
She’s here to stay!
Have you noticed how Aurora draws you into her world? A world that shows us how this world should be!? If you have, then you understand why I call her our Queen of the North.
I sure do notice, my brain stops working and i forget what im doing..
6:34 lol......yep, that's the note that gets me every time too.
It's not just the fact it's high...it's more _how_ she sings it. That whole part is basically just one note...but towards the end she sort of puts this extra _sharpness_ on it that gives it an almost Celtic twang in a way. It sounds like a pure crystalline bell ringing out across a crisp clear blue winter sky. It sounds like hope....the sort of hope _earned_ through real pain. I love all kinds of artists and music....but when ti comes to emotional catharsis and yearning...something about Aurora speaks to the very core of who I am like nothing else. Only Sigur Ros hits that same spot actually...
It IS actually TOO GOOD! :D
I agree!
The word that comes to my mind when I listen to Aurora is: Haunting. The sound quality of her voice is ethereal.
Barry, you have a way with words. Loved the comment!
@@Reckyj TY
Had to subscribe! Why? This was actually too good! Looking more from you in the future! Stay in your feels bro, and you won’t go wrong!
Thank you for the kind words!
Love this song, very nicely done.
Your reaction is true & enjoyed very much.
It´s a song that drop kicks your heart!
@@Reckyj the best kind!! ☺
She is super famous all around the world, but her fans are not superficial. They really love her. But her songs are meant for your mind and heart and not something you hear on the radio for beat and mere pleasure. And she could be a superstar if she wanted, but chooses to stay out of the demanding music circus! And she is a fantastic songwriter as well!
June 4th....can't wait. Trying for June 6th also. One inside one outside.
AURORA is an awesome talent!
This womans voice is something special, it's soft as feathers but cuts like a knife
Aurora is really special!
You can't top Aurora. Greatest there has ever been.
I would agree on your statement!
Great song. Sill not my top favorite of hers but for sure great performance and a song (but i know it is best for some). Love her songs and emotions it carries.
You should listen to "Lucky" from this concert. You won't regret it.
This song is just as good stripped, no instruments. Check that out. As to the best song I've ever heard from Aurora, it's Lucky, from this same concert. But, that's judgement.
Nah, I dare say your judgement is objective fact lol. Lucky is, imo, the best song from Nidarosdomen. If you don't also count Little Boy in the Grass, Under Stars, Winter Bird, and Soft Universe. Still tho...I think Lucky edges out the rest to be the best from that concert. And yeah, the vocal only version of this song is deeply gorgeous. Interestingly, if you remove the *_vocals_* from Infections of a Different Kind, it's also gorgeous...and sounds like a Sigur Ros song to an extent. Yeah, I know it's sacrilege to remove Aurora's vocals lol...but still, the underlying instrumental on that track is subtly epic and achingly beautiful. Legit sounds like a track from Sigur Ros' album Takk.
Great reaction💘 u should react to her song “i went too far” at the honda stage, a magic performance ❤️
Aurora's Warrior at Red Bull age 19
It's a song to compete with the angels behind the gates of Heaven!
Booom, thats the comment we all needed!
Wellllllll...maybe not THAT good. Haha.🙂
@@chrisf8855 for me it is! 😉
@@chrisf8855 For me it really is. I want this one at my funeral 🥰
I sure hope you get back to Aurora!
There's still so many legendary performances you haven't seen yet...
Two big ones are Lucky @ Nidarosdomen and All Is Soft Inside @ KEXP Iceland.
As for songs that imo work better via their music video as opposed to live: Apple Tree, The River, Giving in to the Love, and I Went Too Far come to mind.
I will!!
❤️
Great reaction! Please react to LUCKY live vevo version, and WARRIOR live vevo version. They're on my AURORA faves list.
Will do!
She is not famous because they can't hear her..... The world that listen with their ears can't hear her...... Only the part that listen with their heart and soul can......
I think you'll love Kalandra - Borders.
🙏🇳🇴
if you like this classic-approach in music i can reccomend to listen to agnes obel and her concert recorded at philharmonie de paris.
and yes, auroras concert is really beautiful. she should do more like this. her studio-work is too poppy for my taste and i don't understand why they use so many filters while mixing it, it flattens her voice. her voice does not need that
Check out Kalandra Borders, another Norwegian Gem
Awesome suggestion! I´ll check it out
@@Reckyj Looking forward to it
She is not "super famous" because she is remaining true to her Nature. Divine Nature and the spells and trappings of "Hollywood" do not mix well.
Be well.
Many man to more to go. Try "Lucky" from the same concert. Even better?
This isn't Skynyrd!! 😟
we are doing Skynyrd on Saturday! Just for you ;) "Plaaaay some Skynyrd!!
@@Reckyj God bless you!! You can never have too much Skynyrd.🙂
