I love the passion of both you and your wife doing this together. Not only are you fixing a Range Rover, but you're building a stronger relationship with your wife, and that is priceless
Excellent plan. Use only genuine parts for engine internals. New oil pump, new belts and chains new tensioners. Only use the best oil. Good luck and keep the videos coming. Also you could rent a little space to make some extra money. Office and garage. 10/10
Hi mate, Getting a workshop is a very good decision 😀 I am looking forward to watching your journey. It will be a roller coaster ride and I am pleased to be on it. 😀
Best Decision ever this in my opinion will only lead to better content because now you have a proper workshop loads of RUclipsrs going this route because it make perfect sense , I think 2025 will be the best year ever for you and your camera man (aka the mrs ) looking forward to watching and good luck to you and your family for the future !!
Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn each and every day are the key ingredients to success, and you sir have them in spades. I am very much looking forward to your progress and wish you the very best of luck. For reference I am the owner of a 22 year old L322 Td6 which I love to bits even though she drives me nuts at times and requires constant attention :)
Good for you! Sort of crazy thing i would convince myself to do. This is what makes life special, achieving the impossible and having fun along the way.
Really chuffed for you my friend. The garage is a real blessing especially the 2 post car lift and will enhance your hobby a million fold. Congrats! ps Im a new subscriber and look forward to following your journey 🙂👍
I just finished the video. I was pretty certain you would rebuild it your self, but I was not expecting this level of passion, commitment and expense! As you Brits would say, I am “Over the Moon” for you and your family! From experience, I would recommend you consider hiring a helper/assistant to complete some of the tasks you have ahead of you. Not a mechanic, just someone to help with some of the heavy lifting. Maybe a teen interested in learning about JLR and earning a few pence? I think that would be a good idea and would add some safety to the shop.
Its a great idea, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. You and clearly hungry for success and this unit and project will greatly accelerate that. Good luck.
First time I seen one of your vids. Loved the content and subbed right away and can't wait for the L405 content to come. Great energy and I love the passion and your wife backing you up as well is fantastic.
Congrats to your new garage! And also: This is the first time for me seeing a video of you and I really like your positive spirit! Keep up the good work and have a wonderful 2025 :)
Love your channel, I want to ask you I have a 2012 L322 AB , I know it’s impossible to pin point a diagnoses but long story short, all the electronics were working before I took it to the shop for a cracked Fuel injector, it sat there for 5 weeks, when I got it back my mechanic said the battery died and locked the car. Little did i know the mirror puddle lights were working on and off after I picked it up and stopped completely 2 weeks later. As for the rear entertainment screens there’s a bit of a background light but that’s about it, they do not play anything. They don’t say error just blank dimmed light. One thing to mention is water got through the backup camera from snow just sitting there for weeks and that for certain doesn’t work anymore and all other fuses are fine. Some say check for loose wires under the seat, some say water could’ve gotten to some modules. Is an OBD tool a must in this situation Because there are zero RUclips videos about this to say the least. I really do appreciate any response to this. Happy new year.
This is the sixth time that I have commented as the previous ones appear to have disappeared somewhere. I have subscribed and I'm looking forward to this project that you have in store for us (I also clicked the wee bell so as not miss any uploads 😀).
Definitely worth a subscribe from me! Are you planning to remove the engine through the bonnet? If so I strongly recommend removing the whole drivetrain from below. It may sound more difficult but I assure you its not, that is how it was designed to be put together.
Gutsy thing to do - you have a new subscriber. As a serial Land Rover owner, I would add that spending £20k on an L405 is absolutely no guarantee of walking away, especially with a TDV6 engine! Yes, you will end up spending more than you’ve budgeted. One of the comments from your last video hit the nail on the head - sounds like bearing shells. It’s a big job but from a content point of view, you could prove that with a little help, it’s actually doable. Having a garage actually makes it possible. Buying a secondhand engine is no guarantee if you’re planning on long term ownership. Best of luck however you decide to proceed. Oh and the engines can be made to last - I change oil at 5k miles without exception.
Brother I wish you the best however the market for these cars have dropped and people are walking away from these tanks ! Will take a long time to sell !
Epic! LAU has gone large! I'm envious as i still work on my driveway here in oz. I think many would be interested in any revenue (hopefully) from YT to help offset the costs?
I think RUclips is messing with your comments as this is my seventh attempt at commenting. All I wanted to to do was to say that you have a new subscriber and I look forward to future videos from you.👍
Seriously hope you pull this off mate I really do but you’re greener than grass if you think you will spend that little a price on parts from Landrover. Triple what ever you think. Most Landrover need everything coding now days so expect to spend what you have budgeted on parts just on diagnostics and coding. Like I said really hope it works out for you so going to subscribe just because of your passion for it and hopefully watch some good contents 👍
If your channel is monetised you also need to add your you tube income when ever you feature the range rover build compaired to the maybe 8 low veiwer vlogs about ,buying, first impressions, upgrades, selling the dealer bought range rover.
I love the passion of both you and your wife doing this together. Not only are you fixing a Range Rover, but you're building a stronger relationship with your wife, and that is priceless
100% agree
Congratulations on the new unit, keep up the work and the good content 🎉
Not even a Range Rover fan but your enthusiasm and passion makes it good to watch… really looking forward to the upcoming videos
Fair play! I said to sell you, but no you’ve done what many of us might be too afraid to do. I can’t wait to watch the series!
So pleased for you. Your content has been great. As a DIY mechanic with am L322 you have inspired me to do my own intake gaskets.
Excellent plan. Use only genuine parts for engine internals. New oil pump, new belts and chains new tensioners. Only use the best oil.
Good luck and keep the videos coming.
Also you could rent a little space to make some extra money. Office and garage.

I can tell your excited. Be very careful with 2 post lifts. They are great but dont be shaking the car around too much.
Its a great idea, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. You and clearly hungry for success and this unit and project will greatly accelerate that. Good luck.

Love this man. Happy New year
I think the engine drops out from under the L405 not out of the top
You are as mad as a “ box of frogs” but i love it …..deserve more followers and subscribers………..6k is scrap value IMHO
For a good information watch some LR TIME videos they love landrovers
You want to end all your headaches, just buy a RAM 2500 6.7L DIESEL 4x4 HEAVY DUTY .
Alhamdulillah
