Love this remember years ago going there many times over the years ,lovely set in time place ,my son on a school trip bumped into my great aunt there who was on a day trip for the elderly so young meets old, thank you marcus and Mel what a team.
We went to the Vulcan a few months before it was moved, it was a random dart tournament, so glad it has been rebuilt. St Fagans is a unique place, there is always something new every time we visit. BTW, my mother had that kitchen, it was posh in 1985, hope you have changed it or they will be moving your house to St Fagans, lol x
I have been in the Oakdale Stute when iy was in Oakdale and I can say it has been perfectly rebuilt in every detail In the reading room I wittnesses many a chat with my old friend Mr Hendercon where we used to put the world to right Happy Memories. I used to tune the piano in the concert hall
Many years ago I provided a positive business case to open a rail station at this location which was rejected on the basis that it would be so popular that it would adversely effect mainline services to Cardiff
Hi Marcus awesome live video walk tour. I enjoyed it. How are you doing? How is the weather where you are? I'm doing well, and so is my cat Benjamin. we are both enjoying watching your live walk videos. The weather in Ontario Canada is beautiful. Have a great day. See you next video 😊
I've only been to St. Fagans once since being an adult (though I think we went there on a school trip when I was a kid). I can still remember the Gwalia store being in Ogmore Vale and went there with my grandmother many times. It had all kinds of ironmongery in pigeon holes and hanging from the walls - and had a long counter as I seem to remember.
Enjoyed the wander around St Fagans, a place we must visit when next in S Wales. Love the layout of this museum, it's super interesting and a completely different experience for museum visits as you're able to explore inside these incredible forgotten places. Amazing to see how they've reconstructed the various rooms and buildings too. Amazing that it's free!! £6 for parking is pretty fair enough too! Thoroughly enjoyed your tour as always! :)
Hello from the States. Enjoyed the tour around St Fagans Museum. Need to put that on the places to visit list when I finally make my way to Wales. I could see myself spending the day there, walking around and exploring each building and learning the history. The kitchen would actually be an upgrade for my 50’s built house. It’s big but very dated. Are you able to get a pint in the Cardiff Pub, The Vulcan? Anyway, enjoyed it very much and look forward to next one. Stay safe and be well.
Definitely worth a visit, you could spend a day there if it's dry. We were a couple of days too early to get into the pub, it is now open and yes, they do serve beer.

One of my favourite museums in the UK! So much to see and do.
Agree, especially on a sunny day.

Hahahaha the kitchen in the house we had when I was growing up too!!
Diolch both! Had many an interesting trip to St Fagans from my home in The Rhondda. Best wishes.

Thanks for the comment and a bit of history. Yes, that building is really well done. It is one of our favourites at St Fagans.

Thanks again for a lovely video. I’m gonna put that on my list of places to go with my grandchildren thank you.
There's plenty to do for kids.

We love the shop - Unfortunately, we couldn't film inside this time because they had some school parties in there.

Yes, it is a great place to visit. There's plenty to see and do, there're enough for at least half a day.
Are you one of the Williams of Miiskin, Llanharan Aberpergwm etc?
No we're not
