Got one yesterday! Its the Cherokee body and fun! My first RC in years. Looking at the upgrades and looking forward to getting onto the hobby. Thanks for the video!
Axels and steering links are actually wider than the 4m. I never took apart the transmission to check the gears. I just threw a complete Injora motor/trans set up in it and called it good. Also there are two “studs” limiting the steering servo movement. Cut them out and the steering is better.
I bought one. The driveshafts broke 1st, no biggie had spares from my trx4m, which fit fine. Then I went to turn it on and it wouldn't come on. So I'm assuming the esc is smoked. Looking for a cheap 2 in 1 esc.
Nice tear down! And great crawling! I have a silver one, call it my Disco Jeep. It crawls well, and bashes ok. I've got to get some shocks for it now! Thanks for the tips!
I bought one with the intention of chopping the body and doing some minor mods with spare parts I have. The only “original” part on the whole thing now is what’s left of the body. It’s ok-ish out of the box, but too many things were bothering me.

Right on! Hope you enjoy it

Yes I covered that in a different upgrading video. It's just different enough not to be sued by Traxxas lol
The gears in the transmission are plastic
100% this would make a sick little injora build

We are all in this together. Best part is you get to learn from my mistakes lol
@@VIBCRC Lol, I also have the JJRC C8809 which is the same chassis with a Cherokee body.
@@MysticRiverRC I had just ordered that today after using this one

Sounds like my original Trx4m, which is now my cursed IR60 build.....
