This is what I bough after I crashed my carbon cub S2, this was my trainer. Also my favorite. Bigger is better in my experience for training. Great flight.

Do the floats still leak or do you know? Have saw several comments in the past about them leaking for the Carbon Z. Thank you
@@brandonwesson6818 Unfortunately i heard that too. I sealed the seams in mine with good packaging tape. I’m sure any water resistant adhesive seal would work too. I do highly recommend flights of water if you have access to a pond or lake. 👍😉
@payitfwdrcl6171 thanks I'll be sure to seal mine as well when I get a set. I actually do have access. 15mins from the Tenn river. I take my FMS ranger 1220mm out on the boat with me sometimes. Such a blast on the water isn't it?

Hi from Michigan - I have been flying this plane now for the second summer. I had to beef up the landing gear with aircraft plywood. The main landing gear is not metal all the way across. I fly on asphalt, the main gear would fold in on it's self. Gary with the Flying Pilgrims RC Club. ✈

Love mine. Put a 15x8 wooden prop on mine it is capable of hovering and has just very slightly more than 1:1 power to weight now. I mean very slightly 😅
I think Ill try the wood prop for fun!

Newbie here. One quick question. Why the loud whining on the bench with the battery plugged in. Seems excessive. I haven't noticed this on other planes before. Shouldn't it be quiet? I have a slightly older version of this with the tricycle gear (and a set of floats) I picked up recently and have not flown yet. Great video and great flying plane. I am looking forward to it. Still in training mode with 1.1 to 1.5 size planes.
Its the servos buzzing, not a big deal, they will probably quiet down over time. I cant wait to get floats on this
Mine does the same. You can usually flip the flaps down and back up maybe move other control surfaces a bit and it'll stop most times. Something about digital servos that makes them buzz

This is scale, and you can buy the nose wheel. So whats your point?
