    My favorite plane, this was my trainer after the Carbon Cub S2 crashed on my 2nd flight ever. I had an older guy tell me bigger flies better. I've crashed it 3 times and been able to glue it back and it still flies as good as if it were new. I bought a 2nd one for when my first no longer flies. It is my go to bird.

    I’ve now been flying mine for a few months and really agree with everything said about the 150T. My first motor died when I tried the reverse option. Horizon cheerfully replaced it and the second motor has been fine since. I too am not excited about how the tail wheel is attached to the rudder. I just live with it. I fly off very short grass and have few problems. The paint scheme really shows up and did I mention this thing will do outside loops with ease.? The ease in which the plane assembles and disassembles at the field is awesome. I transport it in a Chevy Equinox with no hassle. I get 10-15 minute flights from a 5000 ma 6S pak. If your looking for something to go out and bang the sticks and have fun. This is it. I wish I lived near a place to do the floats. Doing long touch and goes are fun.

    Oh yeah. This one's on my "Powerball" list. The list of planes i can get without wondering when my wife will stuff me in one of those body bags in Jon's impalla, after hitting the powerball.
    The 150T is so graceful in the air.
    And the aeronautical engineer's comment on "poo" factor was spot on 👍

    John..great video and all videos you produce !!! Your Voice is clear and your speed you speak is perfect ..trust me, some reviewers..well the long lags in speaking is irritating as SH+T !!!.....Tried reverse thrust on Cessna 150T..took lotta time to untangle springs meshing together...forget it !

    For the floats you have to seal the little holes on them with silicon or something, and seal the float with the rudder with silicon too and put some marine grease into the little tube whith the rudder long pushrod to avoid from gettin water into the pontoon and servo, and of course corrosio X is a must, even in the motor cause it sprays some times when the prop hits the water, greetings from Mexico chapala ajijic😊

    Hi Jon!, I was just downstairs with my v-1200 and just got an NX8 Radio. I was wondering if you could help me get Flight pack callouts with smart because it just says “No data” when I try. maybe a future video? I specifically want it on that plane because of its fast nature and blending in with the blue sky. I don’t want to take my eyes off it 😂

    I did my first motor upgrade to a plane and it was this one. Went with a 5056 400kv. Wish i knew more about motors. But hoping a 16x10 prop will make up for the lower kv since i ordered it before realizing how much slower the 400kv rotates.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  19 дней назад +1

      Lower KV doesn't always mean less thrust. In some cases it means significantly more.

    • @brandonwesson6818
      @brandonwesson6818 19 дней назад +1

      @TwoBrosRC the motor is supposed to be equivalent to eflites power 60. I'm gonna go with the recommended 16x10 prop and see how that goes. Also ordered a 100 amp esc as i figure the stock 60amp avian may be too small. Thanks for the response and keep making the awesome videos!

    For just having fun, an EC1500 or Cessna 150?

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  9 месяцев назад +1

      Depends on how you define fun! The EC-1500 can do everything the Cessna can do (except high beta knife edge) and better, too. But the Cessna is bigger, it's far less prone to stalling while maneuvering, and really just has a presence to it that's unrivaled by anything that isn't the big Carbon-Z Cub SS.

    Jon I didnt hear you mention the trike configuration. If you buy the trike gear for this plane you will likely have allot better luck on pavement

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  9 месяцев назад +1

      Probably, but we weren't sent the tricycle geared setup - only the taildragger and float configs. These bush style planes tend to be more fun on grass, anyhow!

  • @prowlus
    @prowlus 9 месяцев назад

    surprised it’s not as off road oriented as the timber with its tailwheel

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  9 месяцев назад

      It's actually better in grass.

  • @keithmclellan9450
    @keithmclellan9450 Месяц назад

    Why are you taxiing in the grass without holdig up elevator? That's standard procedure in any taildragger, full scale or rc model.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  Месяц назад

      Because we were trying to get it to wheel taxi.

    Hi guys so would this plan be better than the FMS super cub 1700mm ? For a newbie like myself

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  9 месяцев назад +1

      The Super Cub is cheaper, but the Cessna is harder to stall and flies more stable and planted by virtue of the fact that it's significantly larger. We'd recommend the Cessna first.

  • @Reptielenfreak

    so does this mean the carbon Z cub is a 10 out of 10?

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  9 месяцев назад +1

      It's still close to a 9. The stock wheels and suspension are better than the Cessna, but it doesn't have enough thrust in stock configuration to live up to the potential that full span ailerons would give it. The Cub is our favorite of the two with the Power 60 470kv / 100 amp Avian ESC upgrade combo.

    Long grass may make it nose over. Down elevator as shown will make sure it happens.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 месяца назад

      What down elevator are you referring to?

    • @johnnichol9412
      @johnnichol9412 2 месяца назад

      @@TwoBrosRC That showing distinctly at 3:38 and either side where you are taxiing in circles and you talk about it nosing over on the grass.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 месяца назад

      Oh, right - yeah, that was done to get it to do some wheeled taxiing. The grass is just too thick for it in the spot we were trying it in.

    Its a beautiful plane and i wanted to love it after flying it. But boy is it boring and underpowered. I upped the motor to a 5055 360kv from flightline on 8s with a bigger prop. Still underwhelmed. Even strapping a 70mm edf underneath still didnt stir my emotions. Im hoping the FMS corsair 1.7m prop and motor i got coming soon will waken it up. Got to the point where its not worth dragging it out the garage and into the van. Prefer my Bison. Time will tell if i can make it more my cup of tea. Apart from a burnt out LED sequencer all is pretty good quality. Even the annoying tinnitus inducing servos arent half bad..
