- Well here it is as promised a remade version of my FF7 Supernova video Math included this time along with a few other changes, also changed out the soundtrack to the remake ost of "One Winged Angel" unfortunately didn't have time to do everything I wanted, but happy with it none the less. Made with Unity, Maya, Aftereffects, & Photoshop.

Actually, the PS1 supernova was not full gibberish math, there were some Newtons law of gravitation and Kepler equations for orbits there too...

Actually, fun fact... in an official Final Fantasy VII encyclopedia guide book, it was confirmed canon that Supernova is really just a hyper-realistic illusion that Sephiroth summoned up to make the party FEEL like they were being obliterated with Meteor. He basically sat and made them go through that entire thing, just to try and imagine the pomp and grandeur with which he was going to destroy the planet with. Basically re-iterating that Sephiroth is both a sadist AND a smug fuck.
ᵗʰᵉNight★Star no. Supernova actually happens. Sephiroth brings everyone into a different dimension (which you literally see happen in the cutscene when reality shatters) during a specific point in time where a meteor crashes into the solar system. This is not an illusion in any shape way or form. Even if you try and say cloud and party have never dealt with an attack this fearsome and should be dead, the FF lore knocks that out of the park. There are summons who literally destroy planets (see the bahamut fury cutscene from FF crisis core) or who “heals a great wound on the earth” -quote from the FF remake for Shiva’s bio, implying she created a multi continental size glaciar to heal the earth after being hit by a large meteor, which was also in a cutscene. The lore, canon material, and literal cut scenes in game support supernova actually happening. Death battle even stated this. In other games, Kefka (main antagonist of another FF game) throws a galaxy at the main players. This is not an illusion

Teagan Pool “A blast of such despair that it can send destruction even into other dimensions” quote directly from one of the FF dissidia manuscripts. Which is further supported by literally every summon who does the exact same thing (tearing a rip into our dimension, and unleashing a devastating attack). But down players like yourself like to use one little reference that is overwhelmed by counterpoints in the FF lore. “But you can’t use dissidia as a reference!!!” Yes you absolutely can when the creator directly overlooked it. Accept what happens in game.
It's incredible that this doesn't kill the party but a gentle poke with the tip of Tonberry's knife kills you instantly 🤦🏻♂️
to be fair you would need to kill about 5k monsters to get 9999 damage from everyone's gruge-edit for anyone who does not know everyone's gruge aka tonberry stabing you attack does 2X damage depending on how many things that charter has killed.
It has been mentioned many times, Supernova is an illusion. If the spell was real then why would Sephiroth need Meteor to destroy the planet?

Actually if the sun dud ho supernova the cloud of heat would literal burn mars molten (and likely shattered apat), strip the remaining gas giants of their atmospheres as all that remains is a their boiling cores
@@thetexc i kind of just pointed out how the sun going supernova would work. The bulk of its exploding mass and force would end up past Mars orbit while the force of the stellar wind and outward gass layers should theoretically be strong enough to punch though the gast giants magnetic fields and strip of them of their gases mass.

Now, I want you guys to stop and think about that comet for a second.
It has enough mass and kinetic energy to bore straight through a moon sized terrestrial, and two gas giants simultaneously while still having enough energy afterwards to implode the sun.
Not to mention the comet went through intergalactic travel in a matter of seconds, so we can assume it's traveling faster than the speed of light.
This is entirely possible, given that the comet is in another reality with the possibility of having completely different physics.
Sephiroth is more than a god, he would be able to destroy galaxies if he wanted.

Speaking of, here's the actual math.
@Ahmad Adnan "God" and "omnipotent" are two different words. You can combine both to get what you are looking for, but one doesn't necessarily equal the other as the word "god" can have several different meanings. In Christianity and other monotheistic religions, I am fairly sure it is the equivalent to his name, hence why Christians associate the word "God" with omnipotence. The name "God" implies omnipotence, but the word "god" may not depending on the context, and Sephy here is being refered to as a god rather than God.

I could be wrong, but I believe it’s stated that Sephiroth’s supernova attack is essentially just a made up figure in his mind to demonstrate the amount of damage he’s doing to Cloud and the rest of the party.
Meaning his attack is literally so powerful he had to mid battle create an entire galaxy, and then destroy it just to demonstrate the sheer level of destruction he’s capable of.
And then whole party took damage equal to couple of hard slaps and no one faints

I love how over the top Supernova is, and I hope we have something like this in remakes at some point. It MUST last like 2 minutes in honor to the original xD

@@MariusBoss11458 nah I think he'll do it at the end of the fight. Cutscene included. The ff7 director once said that supernova was just an ilusion that Sephiroth made just for the sake of watching them panic (But I suppose that illusion comes with a real asteroid crushing you at the end, just not that big xd)

As a noob in 3D animation, this inspires me to great levels. From how Ptolemy's Diagram was incorporated to the very last explosion, this is absolutely amazing.

And the entire purpose of Meteor wasn't to destroy the planet, but grievously injure it, where the Lifestream heals it, and Sephiroth will be there to absorb all that power.
The Ghana Pallbearers are gonna need a much bigger Coffin for this one.

Jokes aside, seeing the Earth being swallowed up by the sun is so horrifying. Every single person you have met, every single place you have ever been to, every experience, every feeling, everything you have ever wanted to do, never wanted to do, already done, never accomplished yet, all of those events and ideas exist on that small ball of rock in comparison to the galaxy. All of those things slowed burned and melted away, disappearing from the cosmos forever.

@@Talguy21 Curiously enough, when the sun actually goes nova to leave a white dwarf, Mercury and Venus will be consumed and the gas giants will lose most of their mass, but Earth and Mars will not only survive but have a longer life expectancy than the big guys after that. Of course, everything on those worlds will be killed.
So jupiter isn't becoming a donut.
It should blow up on impact by the meteor because Jupiter is made of gases and some of that gas is definitely flammable

I ran this over and over in my head to think about how I would see this updated. You exceeded my expectations. Nice job my dude.
I remember my mind being blown away when I first saw this all those years ago. I hope the Remake will do it justice when or if that day comes.
Final Fantasy 7 Logic:
Sephiroth's evil plan is to summon a single meteor using an elaborate ritual involving ancient materia which takes several weeks if not months to hit the planet when in less than 2 minutes he can summon an attack that blows up the Sun and much of the Solar System.
He wants to use the lifestream to become a God. Destroying the entirety of the planet isn't very conducive to his plan. He needs it to be injured, not gone.
Also, Supernova is an illusion it doesn't really destroy the entire solar system

I think I preferred the older one. The one where it pans the space, how Saturn is portrayed and how Sephiroth glares at you menacingly under the sun flames the iconic Sephiroth staredown in flames.
Always found it odd as a kid, and even a little now too. You spend the game trying to stop Sephiroth from destroying the planet with Meteor, and then he does this during the final battle.
Well, you see, this supernova is an illusion made by Sephiroth, it’s not real, but it’s kind of like him showing the FF gang what he’s going to do.

This brings me back to the old days and my start as a video editor myself when Dexter Manning on RUclips was known as "Dexterboy124" and this was used with the PS1 days and Cloud, Barret, Red and Sephiroth are having a comical conversation during the whole scene. Like where Barret has to use that bathroom and Sephiroth giving directions after Cloud asked if it was ok.
Oh the glorious days of comedy back then was the stuff of legends.

If I bring down a supernova from the sun to this very spot on the planets surface assuming a steady speed of "you are" and "completely facked" calculate the speed the meteor will be going by the time it enters the atmosphere. By the time you have an answer to this equation the animation should be finished. I'm going to get a coffee anyone want some?"

Sephiroth must be a genius in math. It need very accurate calculation to destroy Venus but just take 15/16 HP of Cloud.
