This is not a mod. To make this video i recorded the same gameplay with different cameras and then merged the videos with an equirectangular projection. Thanks for watching!
@@NuiiCashy maybe they too, but that is true for every video. fun fact average age of mario game players are over 30. Meanwhile turn on voice chat in a call if duty game. Full of kids and they using even more bad language.
Since SM64's source code was decompiled, I guess this is also possible over on said game? Also this video makes me appreciate Lakitu's work a lot more.
SM64 and SM64 DS are seperate games. Having the source code of one does not give you the source code of the other. Additionally, the SM64 decomp project is not a leak. It was a manual effort to essentially rewrite the original. Besides that: This is most certainly done with an emulator, not a mod to the game itself.
I never knew that stuff would pop in and out depending on the distance, no wonder they managed to make this run well on the DS! still makes you wonder why modern titles struggle so hard to run even with the popping in despite having a lot of power..
I never would have guessed technology could advance to allow videos like this to exist. Even though it was blurry as hell, it was the coolest thing ever to be able to tilt my phone and the video would move around. Truly never something I thought I would experience!
I really with that someone could make an SM64 or SM64 DS port to vr. I love the games and the ds version was and still is one of my favorite games to this day
Spectacular work as usual, congratulations!! Is there any chance at all for your work to be released to the public? Do you have a Patreon/Ko-Fi or similar to show support?
I just had a dream today about debating to play original 64 or DS remake because I have never played mario 64 before. This is perfect timing. Also love your videos!
This is very cool! Would you mind sharing some behind the scenes on how this was done? I've been using Hugin to do something similar with still images, but I'm not sure how you would go about capturing the same gameplay from different angles and merging it together.
Finally, something worth watching in my meta quest 3
There's also porn

This childhood DS game of mine is still as perfect as it ever was 😌

Yes i hope so
Since a N64 styled SM64ds would be awsome

@@SkyyySi No, I'm talking about the fact that the decomp makes VR shenanigans a lot easier. Nobody thinks these games share code
@@sunbuYT You most certainly implied it

This is the second best game ever. i really wish i had a vr headset to watch it in.

Seeing everything despawn behind Yoshi is like witnessing the secrets of the universe.

You can increase the quality in the settings, there is practically no blur at all
You can increase the quality
I can on my phone, i can't on my tablet, because the soc not supporting 2160s60 resolution. Still good enough in 1440.
We need Lakitu holding us up
it looks just like miyamoto intended when you put set the quality to 144s
