David Lover look at past uploads cause I am fairly positive Chigz already reviewed the X96_Air tvbox; nothing special or unique about the X96 devices, better to get Ugoos, Beelink, or FireTV Cube; pretty much anything with the Amlogic S922X from a name brand that offers support.

Nah netflix and most legit streaming apps just restrict or block boxes that are rooted and/or without the right android certifications. You can get around this by using netflix plugins in kodi or even desktop mode in browsers. Honestly tho if all you need is netflix and legit streaming apps you can get by with way cheaper stuff like the firestick or even roku god forbid(plz don't get a roku stick xD)

Dennis Moore the color is brand/model specific, this same device is sold under different Trademark Brands with different colored tops, to name a few: Vontar X3, Transpeed X3; the Transpeed is a Black/Grey combo that looks more neutral.
Mi box s is the best you will do at that price range. It even gets the full access to legit streaming apps like netflix. That means no 480p lock on netflix. It doesn't have the best specs but it is reliable for streaming media on all legit and non legit platforms. Dont worry about getting an op chinese box or a shield till you feel like you need something powerful enough for better than n64 emulation gaming stuff. A firestick4k is also good if you are cool with using an otb cable to get usb ports

We bought one of these though it will not play any video from within a web browser. I get the following error messages when using the Firefox, Chrome & Parrot browsers when trying to play video. "The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support" Bitchute will also not play, it looks like the video is stuck trying to buffer, though the same video will play on a laptop with no issues. I've tried Bitslide but this also does not work Any ideas how to fix this problem?

I was very interested to buy it until I heard of 480p on Netflix and Amazon Prime.... Where in India? These boxes are generally China made and available through Aliexpress/Alibaba and shipped from China, Russia or USA. But looking at current situation, shipment might be restricted. I ordered one back in May, haven't received it yet. You can find other brands/models on Amazon but priced on the higher side due to import charges/commission etc.
You know I joined philotv for 20 bucks a month, downloaded it from the play store and it seemed to be ok on my minix,, however it has 4 settings on the bottom that didn’t seem to do anything. I just called Philo people and got a live person pretty fast. She told me Minix was not on the list of acceptable tv boxes they accepted.. So while it works it’s not all there on my Minix.. On my iOS it works good. I just watch a few channels but it’s a hassle to find them on my big 55 inch tv.. Where I really want to watch.. I know, my problem. Could this mean Minix not a true Android??
Minix only has one "Google Certified" device, the Minix_Neo_T5; all other Minix devices run the AOSP firmware, which is still Android just not officially licensed and certified, which can be a problem for compatibility with some apps.
It doesn't matter as they are always great on day one. It's hard to find realistic reviews. I learned this the hard way with beelink boxes when the wifi burnt out in less than a week on my gt king.

Stay away from beelink for awhile. At least until they get their quality control right. Their specs are great but ppl often get defective boxes and their firmware is always the same base cheapo android layout that is full of bugs when it launches. It took about a year after the gt king launched to get decent firmware and even then you were better off flashing custom freaktab firmware. Even now they use the same cheapo layout. I don't have any experience with their 5905x3 or that price range of boxes but their s922x boxes have been annoying as hell. If you decide to go with an s922 box go with the ugoos am6 plus and forget about the king line

The box shows very well on every app except discovery plus which I have a subscription .... on discovery plus I got a picture on screen very similar to that of an air screen with the picture in the middle from top to bottom and darkness on both sides of the screen no picture I’ve tried to get rid of it it looks very much like an air screenshot I don’t know how to get rid of it ....can you please help..
For $59 it is a good Value. But still hate it doesn't support 1080P on all Major Streaming Services. For me that is a deal Breaker and why I purchased Nvidia Shield (Non Pro) which supports 1080P on all Major Streaming Services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney.
Why even buy any tv box than? These boxes were not made for streaming Netflix, Amazon any commerical apps. They are for free movie and TV streaming apps that are free to use and are much better than Netflix, Amazon etc. Get a $30 roku, or Fire stick.

Get yourself a Nvidia Shield, as it streams video in full HD and 4k. You'll get your money's worth with both Netflix and Amazon Prime with the Shield.
