The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has really upped the ante in its second season, exploring how the Dwarven rings of power were made and how quickly they can corrupt those who wear them. As the season progresses, Middle-earth seems to be heading towards darkness, with Sauron effectively corrupting the minds and souls of those around him. Even though the Prime Video series is still a bit controversial among fans for bending J.R.R. Tolkien's original lore, The Rings of Power has improved in quality from its first season, especially when it comes to the development of its characters.
After introducing its various storylines in the first season, The Rings of Power Season 2 is now diving deeper into several of its characters, including some who were minor figures before. One of the most intriguing characters this season is Celebrimbor, the Lord of Eregion who created the rings of power. Celebrimbor has quickly become one of the most fascinating characters in Season 2. His storyline is not only among the most engaging this season but also suggests a darker direction for the series.

Well when Galadriel tries to swim 1000 km in the ocean (sure death by thirst in 3 days), Sauron gets killed by the Orcs (Sauron is a half God !), Celebrimbor ignores alloys (the greatest Elven smith !), Hobbits are murderous sociopaths and Numenoreans are dumb weaklings (the greatest warriors that Sauron himself feared !) , there is only so much nonsense that one can take.
There is so much teleporting, mind reading, bad dialogues (remember why the stone can't float and the meat is given raw?), Deus ex machina and false drama that even with the best effort I can't see any relationship with Tolkien's masterwork.
Perhaps not the worst show ever but certainly the worst insult to Tolkien.
Sauron isn't a half-god, he is a maia, something that is very complicated to explain, I think elves are much more hardy, Numenoreans aren't really weak though, S2 dialogue is actually pretty good.
The source material is unfilmable. I love the books, but cant wait 300 years for things to happen. Im not into drama or detective stories, so i want studios to make more fantasies. Adaptions are part of life. I wasnt expecting frodo to look so young either but it worked.

Why this show getting trashed on line? My t.v is full of reruns and truly boring shows news but House of the dragon and rings of power is what people are trashing. To what end? Are they trying to have the most expensive shows cancelled? Because complaining like that can only end up shortening the story. Jeff Bezos won't put up another billion for another big show after this one keep getting trashed . I LOVE THESE SHOWS. THEM AND THE STAR WARS SERIES. I can't get enough but I fear the end is near. Complaining about free shows on television. That's ridiculous just don't watch them then.
It's not actually bad as critics put it. But readers of the book find it frustrating when the show deviates significantly from the source material.

@@Film_Paradise I love the books and I love the show. No problem. The changes are not important for the meaning of the story. Tolkien's themes and the spiritual challenges Men, Elves and Dwarves are facing in the Second Age are the same, in the books and in the show.

Not original lore. but Tolkien,s lore. Rings prime has his very own fanfic lore. He is Lord of Ost- in- Ethil. But prime cannot use this name.They do not have the rights for the second age.

You're videos are fine but you need to seriously trim some of the fat you are using to bloat the videos run time. I get you get more money the longer the video, but you fill so much of the video with trivial info that isn't necessary (not everything of course just some things) otherwise good work

This is my favorite show on t.v last. Peter Jackson movies were amazing but they each cost significantly more in the theater.
