I also was a meth addict for over 15 years, I have been clean and sober for 9 years, although I still think about it daily and even get urges to do it But I am able to stay strong because of God Love, he has answered my prayers and saved me because I know I was headed to death at the pace I was going, Glory to our Loving God. I had alot of problems,insecurity,anger ,frustration,family problems........why not me......I was offered but only did some weed and acid 2 times or some alcohol.
The girl at 11:33 is spot on. My sister is an addict and is always looking externally for happiness. No love or joy from within. Always thinking the grass is greener. It isn't.
I am a recovering meth addict. Never knew what meth was till my ex boyfriend made me try it! I am going through withdrawal now. I pray nobody even tries it once. It is so painful. Please everyone keep me in your prayers. I want my normal life again.
I recommend looking up Dr Gabor Maté, an actual addiction specialist. There's also a great video on RUclips by Stefan Molynoux called "ending the war on drugs with compassion" where he explains how adverse childhood experiences make people more susceptible to addictions.

This story give me insight about addicts and it touched me. My daughter went to rehab July 2012 came back January 2013. I never knew that going to meeting was important for a recovering addict. She relapsed in 2014. She is trying now to get her life together again. I know if I don’t support her now the drug will kill her. Thank you for this documentary and I pray that she will recover completely.
I hope your daughter manages to beat her addiction. I just recently lost a friend to Heroin and he'd been clean for 15 years or so. It's vicious circle for these guys that are addicted. I wish you and your daughter all the strength, love and kindness needed to beat this drug x
Even just trying to get one's life together is an important step. Your daughter also has the advantage of having someone who loves her to offer support. Anyone who can beat addiction should be proud of themselves, and anyone who is still trying can look to these people and see hope. So many people don't have the support that you can give. I know it is very difficult for you, but it is not your daughter who is causing harm, it is the drug. I really hope things will work out.

I lost my boyfriend of 6 years to heroin. He was only 33 so young and I didn't know. But I do know I never stopped loving him. Died in 2003 I'm sober but it was rough road. Thankful God held me up

Mental heath, specifically emotional pain goes hand in hand with addiction. Its shameful how society, indeed most mainstream people kick/shame/avoid those who are already in atrocious emotional pain.
Very well said, they say 80% of addicts have had trauma/abuse in their younger years, and 90+% mental health issues, mostly depression which leads to self medication. If you are severely depressed and thinking about dying, then you don't give a shit and no SSRI works as strong and quick as opiates. Sadly this short term fix leads to a very long term problem, but if these idiots could focus on the cause, rather than the effect, we'd have much less of a problem.
two years ago i broke my left knee and elbow, and had operation, soon after I had operation on my knee the doctor put me on morphed for twelve hours, then on tramadol. I couldn't bare the pain I asked the nurse to asked the doctor put me back on morphen, the nurse. anyway after three on tramadol I got sick, after I had lunch, the nurse said it's the tramodol. I realized how dangour the drug was. I was hospitalized to get well not sick. after I was discharged three weeks after I said to myself I well never touch that again. pain relief are temporary used, but people use it for the wrong reason. when I was a child in Africa i broke my left wrist, I was never on painkiller, the pain went after a day. for those of you who are on the painkillers, I hope you realise how woubderful is life, even if you don't have nothing...... love from london.l☺☺☺

I'd like to meet the woman who said she'd never known anyone to do the methadone program and actually get off it.... Hi, took methadone and I'm not on it anymore. I took it to fix a problem and get better. There are hundred of thousands that abuse the program so they don't get withdrawals... So I get it, but it can be done 👸🤗🚫💉
Iv been on bup or methadone for the the 10 years+ I'm down to 8mg of bup and it's been long and trying at times,,, yes I use to shoot my dose's some times even sell em and get heroin but at the end of the day it's tens years less that I was a full time street addict and I garrenty that's the only reason I'm still alive!!!
Some people have to stay on methadone because the cannot produce the proper levels of dopamine and serotonin themselves naturally. These are the ones that had a wicked addiction and don't get high or nod on their methadone. If it's not broke don't fix it. If your functioning and productive who gives a shit. I'm sorry you don't know any, but I'm not sorry the number of patients I know who successfully got off methadone, isn't larger. I know plenty of methadone patients, who are back to living functional and successful lives. I don't think we should be stigmatizing treatment, as we don't tell a diabetes patient, "okay, your blood sugar is regulated now. Time to give up insulin!" Nor do we tell patients on antidepressants "Alright, you're better! Now it's time to stop your Prozac!" Why is our attitude different, towards addicts, in recovery?

I used morphine for like 10 years. Every couple of years I would decide to get clean and go through all the crap. After about 7 months I always noticed I was still so depressed so I would go get antidepressants, they would make me feel so messed up like I was coming off a stimulant or something that after about 6 months I would always stop them and start morphine again. Then I get on methadone and I am able to take antidepressants no problem. I will probably be on methadone the rest of my life but it could be a lot worse.
I think it's because pepl think it's their own fault and it's self induced no I'm not sure but I have heard of this talk lots in particular From my own family...
It's great to see a documentary for a change that shows people can actually get off of opiates, i understand why the governments make their films that show people failing to kick the habit as to put people off starting but for people that are already addicts it gives them / me hope to see that it is actually possible to kick and people do manage it.
It is absolutely possible and I’m proof of that. I didn’t like the one comment that was said about Suboxone. Considering Methadone is my drug of choice it certainly wasn’t going to help me to get my life back because I would still be “high” every day. Unlike Methadone, Suboxone has a blocker which after about a year on the medication prevents you from feeling any euphoric effects whatsoever which I believe is the key. You slowly adjust to life and all that it entails. I also suffer from back pain and my pain is managed by an opiate without the potential for abusing it and it’s the only medication like that.
I’ve learnt that being sober is obviously the best road to take but the reasons we give can be the difference with us making it or not. Social convention reasons to be sober are not bad but it’s better to have your own reasons that can help you commit

I don't think some addictions have just a single parent issue when I've known some come from good families with both parents so there's more of deep seated issues. I watched my friends have their lives ruined by doing harder drugs and now out of their minds.
I agree that it isnt a problem that only effects single parent homes but it does seem that single parents are more easy to pursuade when it come to schools influencing or even threating them by threating to remove the child from school if he or she isnt medicated.
So sad the way society is today for sure. The masses will judge a person just because they have tattoos when in reality, they know nothing about that person.

A huge component with addiction in young people is the idea of immortality and "it won't happen to me" . As you get older and sicker, after losing everything and everyone, it begins to dawn on you that, yes, you are going to die of this. And that you have completely wasted your life. Unfortunately, a 25 year old is not going to be able to conceptualize this. They will still believe they will escape the deathly clawing grip of this scourge. They probably won't.
The people in Cape Cod seem like genuinely nice, smart and down to earth people, Its very sad that this addiction surge is happening there, but I suppose its happenening in a lot of places in the US, I really hope that there is enough resouces given to the people for treatment,, there and everywhere this is happening. yeah it's so horrible to watch people addicted, it makes them suffer, no one should have to go through that. I hope the treatment is available everywhere. it's an Illness not a moral choice. It breaks my heart, breaks it over and over. I don't wanna lose anymore people because of addiction.

No tattoo's, I don't smoke and never have, my parents are still together, I am not well off but don't struggle either, I have no criminal record and have 2 children to the same man who owns his own businesses, my life was certainly made more difficult but no where near broken, I never did end up 'in the trash bin' and wasn't born in one (whatever that may mean??? Don't EVER write a baby off I find that highly offensive and stupid) it's a hard road to travel but it taught me lessons, one of which was not to judge others!

If YOU were the addict and did not end up in jail and broke, it means that you are an anomaly and PROBABLY had family that went to extraordinary lengths to keep you out of jail. For the vast majority of heroin users, life is a circle of addiction, crime, incarceration, and institutions until the addict either gets clean or dies. So, if you were some lilly white heroin addict using at home and causing no one any pain or grief and not stealing to feed your addiction, then you are a very rare addict. I am willing to bet my last dime that your family and friends have a different story to tell about your addiction.
No my friends and family had no change in the way they felt about me during my addiction, aside from sadness. As somebody who has never had an addiction don't YOU DARE put me in some kind of 'box' when you know nothing about it. My family did not go to extraordinary lengths whatsoever, the police just never looked at me and when they did it would be because I was with someone else who was known to them, I have been name-checked many times and nothing ever came of it. I just kept my head down, used at home, my dealer changed his number continually so my name would never be seen on any phone chip he had. My family were sad, don't you think I have had long intimate conversations with them, I know exactly how they felt. But as I wasn't jabbing £200 a day into my body, I smoked it, I wasn't really at risk of overdosing, I kept myself well, a functioning addict if you like. Do you understand that, this is my life and my family and only I know what I and they went through. I was a piece of shit for hurting them but I still leaned lessons I otherwise wouldn't have. You cannot see clearly as u were never an addict. DON'T prejudge me or my family!!!!

I totally get the tourist taking over. I live about 12 mins from Isle of Palms beach in South Carolina, 20 mins to downtown Charleston and every year they flood in!!! We, like everywhere have a MAJOR drug problem!!!
hold on.. 54:09.. ???? this lady says she has "a lot of experience with methadone patients.." and goes on to say she doesn't know anyone who gets off of methadone? wtf is she talking about? I do NOT know a ton of people who have gone on methadone maybe 40-50 and I know for sure that 15-20 of them have successfully gotten off it and gone on so far for years without issues so I have to question if she's an expert on that or not? same with suboxone in my experience which i know is not everyone's but come on I think that's not being fair. I know it's not easy to come off of and i'm not saying it's smooth sailing but it does work for a portion of people even as long term treatment.
I was an opiate addict basically self medicating my then untreated ADHD. I was a mess. Got the ADHD treated and got on suboxone then sublocade but the real battle is getting clean of a ten year opiate dependence. Buprenorphine withdrawal is the hardest.
Im sorry to hear about your experience involving addiction, I truly am. With that said though, I'm also sad about the children who are being prescribed meds for adhd who dont have adhd. Addiction is being forced onto many American's by the system! Ch!ldren being prescribed meds, starts as early as elementary school in this country! Just look at how many children are being perscribed meds for suppossed behavior/focus issues in this country. -adds- When that child grows up into an adult he or she is allready dependent on a drug that was prescribed to him or her as a child. Also , its very likely that he or she will be eventually prescribed additional meds geared towards countering side effects from the initial medication that was prescribed to them back when they was a child. Back when they had no say in the matter, completly do to them not having rights or laws protecting them against this cr!me against humanity! unpopular or even uncomfortable should never equal inapropriate (American_Intermediary) This comment was not intended to offend or make anyone feel bad who has been caught up in this crime against humanity. @@DeanDangerousTDD7 I’m a Swedish woman with one of children, a girl adopted from Vietnam, who was prescribed Ritalin, she took some but then refused to take them because they made no difference. Among her friends were several addicts, she got cannabis oil for her cold, made her vomit. A kodein in the dentists waiting room gave her sever abdominal pain and vomiting. Alcohol made her dizzy and sick. I truly believe her brain from that part of Asia was the reason.
Christopher Rosen I favor the multiple approach of mind, body and soul. Meditation, Mindfulness and exercise. you need to let your brain know it needs to make its own endorphins now, seeing you aren't getting the endorphins from outside source. Exercise is great to help in so many areas. Through in cognitive therapy and group counseling too. I pray for my son everyday. He is still on our insurance through this year. He doesn't go to any counseling, tried methadone clinic for oh 3 months maybe. Didn't like to pay for it himself. We paid for a month and he needed to find a job and then pay himself. I'm proud he is still working and living on his own. Probably dealing abit too.
This is a good doc, channels 4's 'cold turkey' is equally just as good, its a bit more raw but kinda shows the viewers just what you can become and be capable of..
Riley, according to recent reports released in June from numerous sources (too many to list here); Utah is not even in the top 20 for overdoses. Ohio is 1st with 5 Ohio cities in the top 10. Dayton, Ohio is the #1 city in the country where you are "most likely to die from an heroin overdose".

mike robbins I'm so sorry. I'm struggling with addiction to prescriptions. It's so stupid. I have watched every intervention that has ever aired. My family is all law enforcement. I smoked weed maybe a handful of times from 18-25. I broke my back and all the Drs did was through drugs at me (not their fault at all) I chose to continue to take them and took more than I was supposed to. In 2015 I went on suboxone and stopped cold turkey without any complications. I had another surgery in 2016 and was right back to taking to many. I know what comes next when the pills stop working or I can't find them. This scared the holy hell out of me but I guess not enough to try and get help again. I'm so lost in the addiction world again and can't find the help or maybe I just don't find the help. This is the 1st time I'm admitting to any of this. I'm not an 18 year old that lives with mommy or couch surfs and gets high with friends. I'm 39, married and have 3 kiddos they all deserve so much more. I lost my mom at 18, and yes it's the worst pain ever but I've continued to live a somewhat normal life until my addiction issues. My kids and husband are probably all better off without me sitting on my ass looking for more pills. I'm sorry this turned into a woah is me. I'm so sorry you are struggling too. No physical withdrawals like heroin, you can sleep after coming off meth which you can't really do with heroin, and you are not physically ill every single morning you wake up like with heroin. How many years were you on meth and how many of those years were you shooting up?

Im from massachusetts about an hour west of the cape. A big part of the addiction problem that sprang up around there is due to the smoke and mirrors of a "summer community." The cape is known to have money and early 2000s heroin was very potent and cheap! Buying in boston and selling on the cape could easily net a profit. The traffickers also saw a bunch of spoiled rich kids that had money, perfect group to target with addiction...
i understand your point but end of the day, the user is making a choice. i have 10 years sober so i can talk. there is booze in a fridge 4 doors down in a pizza shop on the corner. im making a choice not to go get it. now here is where non users have it twisted: if i do go get that drink, THEN i lose the power of choice because there is something in me that cannot stop once i get going. but the first one? is a choice.

anybody realise or remember how drugs 15 years ago were so different to what they are now. from meth to GBH...the G going around now is not even close to what it was 15 yes ago. and....back then you would snort and swallow the dust. now everything gets smoked and the weed gets eaten.....
Ahmet Arikan yep, I think it's because all drugs were purer back then. The dealers realised that even when they step all over it (cut it with shit) people still bought it, so now the vast majority of drugs are of a much much lower quality. IMHO your best off staying away from all drugs (even weed unless it's some good quality bush weed) because Skunk is far far too strong nowadays and bad for your long term mental health. Your best off just having a drink and smoke now and again if anything. 👍🏻

No one with a terminal illness or serious life threatening injuries should ever be denied fentanyl or morphine!
Fentanyl and morphine are opiates yes, but Fentanyl is 100 times as powerful as morphine. So those are two weird opiates to put together.

This story give me insight about addicts and it touched me. My daughter went to rehab July 2012 came back January 2013. I never knew that going to meeting was important for a recovering addict. She relapsed in 2014. She is trying now to get her life together again. I know if I don’t support her now the drug will kill her. Thank you for this documentary and I pray that she will recover completely.
I hope your daughter manages to beat her addiction. I just recently lost a friend to Heroin and he'd been clean for 15 years or so. It's vicious circle for these guys that are addicted.
I wish you and your daughter all the strength, love and kindness needed to beat this drug x
Even just trying to get one's life together is an important step. Your daughter also has the advantage of having someone who loves her to offer support. Anyone who can beat addiction should be proud of themselves, and anyone who is still trying can look to these people and see hope.
So many people don't have the support that you can give. I know it is very difficult for you, but it is not your daughter who is causing harm, it is the drug.

Very well said, they say 80% of addicts have had trauma/abuse in their younger years, and 90+% mental health issues, mostly depression which leads to self medication. If you are severely depressed and thinking about dying, then you don't give a shit and no SSRI works as strong and quick as opiates. Sadly this short term fix leads to a very long term problem, but if these idiots could focus on the cause, rather than the effect, we'd have much less of a problem.

two years ago i broke my left knee and elbow, and had operation, soon after I had operation on my knee the doctor put me on morphed for twelve hours, then on tramadol. I couldn't bare the pain I asked the nurse to asked the doctor put me back on morphen, the nurse. anyway after three on tramadol I got sick, after I had lunch, the nurse said it's the tramodol. I realized how dangour the drug was. I was hospitalized to get well not sick. after I was discharged three weeks after I said to myself I well never touch that again. pain relief are temporary used, but people use it for the wrong reason. when I was a child in Africa i broke my left wrist, I was never on painkiller, the pain went after a day. for those of you who are on the painkillers, I hope you realise how woubderful is life, even if you don't have nothing...... love from london.l☺☺☺

Iv been on bup or methadone for the the 10 years+ I'm down to 8mg of bup and it's been long and trying at times,,, yes I use to shoot my dose's some times even sell em and get heroin but at the end of the day it's tens years less that I was a full time street addict and I garrenty that's the only reason I'm still alive!!!
Some people have to stay on methadone because the cannot produce the proper levels of dopamine and serotonin themselves naturally. These are the ones that had a wicked addiction and don't get high or nod on their methadone. If it's not broke don't fix it. If your functioning and productive who gives a shit. I could care less what a woman said .

So two points to this statement: I know a small handful of patients who did it. I'm sorry you don't know any, but I'm not sorry the number of patients I know who successfully got off methadone, isn't larger. I know plenty of methadone patients, who are back to living functional and successful lives. I don't think we should be stigmatizing treatment, as we don't tell a diabetes patient, "okay, your blood sugar is regulated now. Time to give up insulin!" Nor do we tell patients on antidepressants "Alright, you're better! Now it's time to stop your Prozac!" Why is our attitude different, towards addicts, in recovery?

I used morphine for like 10 years. Every couple of years I would decide to get clean and go through all the crap. After about 7 months I always noticed I was still so depressed so I would go get antidepressants, they would make me feel so messed up like I was coming off a stimulant or something that after about 6 months I would always stop them and start morphine again. Then I get on methadone and I am able to take antidepressants no problem. I will probably be on methadone the rest of my life but it could be a lot worse.
I think it's because pepl think it's their own fault and it's self induced no I'm not sure but I have heard of this talk lots in particular From my own family...
It's great to see a documentary for a change that shows people can actually get off of opiates, i understand why the governments make their films that show people failing to kick the habit as to put people off starting but for people that are already addicts it gives them / me hope to see that it is actually possible to kick and people do manage it.
It is absolutely possible and I’m proof of that. I didn’t like the one comment that was said about Suboxone. Considering Methadone is my drug of choice it certainly wasn’t going to help me to get my life back because I would still be “high” every day. Unlike Methadone, Suboxone has a blocker which after about a year on the medication prevents you from feeling any euphoric effects whatsoever which I believe is the key. You slowly adjust to life and all that it entails. I also suffer from back pain and my pain is managed by an opiate without the potential for abusing it and it’s the only medication like that.
Breaks my heart to see that this is what my hometown has become ive only been gone 11 years its just mind blowing!

I’ve learnt that being sober is obviously the best road to take but the reasons we give can be the difference with us making it or not. Social convention reasons to be sober are not bad but it’s better to have your own reasons that can help you commit

I don't think some addictions have just a single parent issue when I've known some come from good families with both parents so there's more of deep seated issues. I watched my friends have their lives ruined by doing harder drugs and now out of their minds.

A huge component with addiction in young people is the idea of immortality and "it won't happen to me" . As you get older and sicker, after losing everything and everyone, it begins to dawn on you that, yes, you are going to die of this. And that you have completely wasted your life. Unfortunately, a 25 year old is not going to be able to conceptualize this. They will still believe they will escape the deathly clawing grip of this scourge. They probably won't.

The people in Cape Cod seem like genuinely nice, smart and down to earth people, Its very sad that this addiction surge is happening there, but I suppose its happenening in a lot of places in the US, I really hope that there is enough resouces given to the people for treatment,, there and everywhere this is happening. Its all about the treatment, the right meds and the treatment facilities.

No tattoo's, I don't smoke and never have, my parents are still together, I am not well off but don't struggle either, I have no criminal record and have 2 children to the same man who owns his own businesses, my life was certainly made more difficult but no where near broken, I never did end up 'in the trash bin' and wasn't born in one (whatever that may mean??? Don't EVER write a baby off I find that highly offensive and stupid) it's a hard road to travel but it taught me lessons, one of which was not to judge others!

If YOU were the addict and did not end up in jail and broke, it means that you are an anomaly and PROBABLY had family that went to extraordinary lengths to keep you out of jail. For the vast majority of heroin users, life is a circle of addiction, crime, incarceration, and institutions until the addict either gets clean or dies. So, if you were some lilly white heroin addict using at home and causing no one any pain or grief and not stealing to feed your addiction, then you are a very rare addict. I am willing to bet my last dime that your family and friends have a different story to tell about your addiction.
No my friends and family had no change in the way they felt about me during my addiction, aside from sadness. As somebody who has never had an addiction don't YOU DARE put me in some kind of 'box' when you know nothing about it. My family did not go to extraordinary lengths whatsoever, the police just never looked at me and when they did it would be because I was with someone else who was known to them, I have been name-checked many times and nothing ever came of it. I just kept my head down, used at home, my dealer changed his number continually so my name would never be seen on any phone chip he had. My family were sad, don't you think I have had long intimate conversations with them, I know exactly how they felt. But as I wasn't jabbing £200 a day into my body, I smoked it, I wasn't really at risk of overdosing, I kept myself well, a functioning addict if you like. Do you understand that, this is my life and my family and only I know what I and they went through. I was a piece of shit for hurting them but I still leaned lessons I otherwise wouldn't have. You cannot see clearly as u were never an addict. DON'T prejudge me or my family!!!!

I do NOT know a ton of people who have gone on methadone maybe 40-50 and I know for sure that 15-20 of them have successfully gotten off it and gone on so far for years without issues so I have to question if she's an expert on that or not? same with suboxone in my experience which i know is not everyone's but come on I think that's not being fair. I know it's not easy to come off of and i'm not saying it's smooth sailing but it does work for a portion of people even as long term treatment.
We can't get lsd xanax or meth amphetimine in England. Lots of people here are cocaine addicts, drinkers or weed heads with a few heroin addicts.

I was an opiate addict basically self medicating my then untreated ADHD. I was a mess. Got the ADHD treated and got on suboxone then sublocade but the real battle is getting clean of a ten year opiate dependence.
Buprenorphine withdrawal is the hardest.

I’m a Swedish woman with one of children, a girl adopted from Vietnam, who was prescribed Ritalin, she took some but then refused to take them because they made no difference. Among her friends were several addicts, she got cannabis oil for her cold, made her vomit. A kodein in the dentists waiting room gave her sever abdominal pain and vomiting. Alcohol made her dizzy and sick. I truly believe her brain from that part of Asia was the reason.

Christopher Rosen I favor the multiple approach of mind, body and soul. Meditation, Mindfulness and exercise. you need to let your brain know it needs to make its own endorphins now, seeing you aren't getting the endorphins from outside source. Exercise is great to help in so many areas. Through in cognitive therapy and group counseling too. I pray for my son everyday. He is still on our insurance through this year. He doesn't go to any counseling, tried methadone clinic for oh 3 months maybe. Didn't like to pay for it himself. We paid for a month and he needed to find a job and then pay himself. I'm proud he is still working and living on his own. Probably dealing abit too.
This is a good doc, channels 4's 'cold turkey' is equally just as good, its a bit more raw but kinda shows the viewers just what you can become and be capable of..

mike robbins I'm so sorry. I'm struggling with addiction to prescriptions. It's so stupid. I have watched every intervention that has ever aired. My family is all law enforcement. I smoked weed maybe a handful of times from 18-25. I broke my back and all the Drs did was through drugs at me (not their fault at all) I chose to continue to take them and took more than I was supposed to. In 2015 I went on suboxone and stopped cold turkey without any complications. I had another surgery in 2016 and was right back to taking to many. I know what comes next when the pills stop working or I can't find them. This scared the holy hell out of me but I guess not enough to try and get help again. I'm so lost in the addiction world again and can't find the help or maybe I just don't find the help. This is the 1st time I'm admitting to any of this. I'm not an 18 year old that lives with mommy or couch surfs and gets high with friends. I'm 39, married and have 3 kiddos they all deserve so much more. I lost my mom at 18, and yes it's the worst pain ever but I've continued to live a somewhat normal life until my addiction issues. My kids and husband are probably all better off without me sitting on my ass looking for more pills. I'm sorry this turned into a woah is me. I'm so sorry you are struggling too. @@faribatabassum4657 Meth isn't even hard to come off compared to heroin, its mostly mental. No physical withdrawals like heroin, you can sleep after coming off meth which you can't really do with heroin, and you are not physically ill every single morning you wake up like with heroin. How many years were you on meth and how many of those years were you shooting up?

Im from massachusetts about an hour west of the cape. A big part of the addiction problem that sprang up around there is due to the smoke and mirrors of a "summer community." The cape is known to have money and early 2000s heroin was very potent and cheap! Buying in boston and selling on the cape could easily net a profit. The traffickers also saw a bunch of spoiled rich kids that had money, perfect group to target with addiction...
i understand your point but end of the day, the user is making a choice. i have 10 years sober so i can talk. there is booze in a fridge 4 doors down in a pizza shop on the corner. im making a choice not to go get it. now here is where non users have it twisted: if i do go get that drink, THEN i lose the power of choice because there is something in me that cannot stop once i get going. but the first one? is a choice.

Why are you surprised? Kids as young as 6 years old are being prescribed meds for focus/behavior issues in this country every day.
so far...it does seem like an AA meeting on tape in a way...to DEPICT THE PAIN n despair and desperation of addiction has a much more power and lasting effect...thats my advice. it's shown for a reason to show REALITY and what chasing the next slice of that "devils pie" rly entails...its not to glorify or romanticize 3 it

anybody realise or remember how drugs 15 years ago were so different to what they are now. from meth to GBH...the G going around now is not even close to what it was 15 yes ago.
and....back then you would snort and swallow the dust. now everything gets smoked and the weed gets eaten.....
Ahmet Arikan yep, I think it's because all drugs were purer back then. The dealers realised that even when they step all over it (cut it with shit) people still bought it, so now the vast majority of drugs are of a much much lower quality. IMHO your best off staying away from all drugs (even weed unless it's some good quality bush weed) because Skunk is far far too strong nowadays and bad for your long term mental health. Your best off just having a drink and smoke now and again if anything. 👍🏻
