    Just came across your video.
    999 thousand people could do this same job and make it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.
    But YOU.
    Straight forward and SIMPLE.
    Thanks for the informative video.

    Appreciate the level of detail man!! I just bought a 2017 Rancher with 200 miles. Never checked or adjusted valves in my life, but your video gives me confidence.
    So, you know you are top dead center when the intake and exhaust valves can “wiggle” like that? For the lack of a better word, sorry. Lol!!

      THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN!! YOU CAN ALWAYS SHINE A FLASHLIGHT IN THE CYLINDER TO CHECK FOR TDC AND LOOK AT YOUR TIMING MARKS BUT YES BOTH ROCKERS SHOULD BE ''LOOSE'' THANKS FOR WATCHING!!

    Good video, these bikes are so easy to work on! I used to have a Suzuki Kingquad and everything was hard to get to on that bike.

      I use to have a king quad 300!! That was my first atv! I ragged that thing out and had some good times on it, when u put it in super low diff lock it would pull the gates of hell down hahah

    Wow mine has 3000 miles and I’ve never heard that noise

    • @TheHomePros6221
      @TheHomePros6221  2 года назад +1

      it’s recommended in the manual at 250 miles to do the first valve adjustment which I’m doing here, after that u can go many miles without doing another. I have another rancher with 9,000 miles and I’ve only done two valve adjustments on it. these are great engines!

    Cant believe you took the plug out with the impact wrench and then put it in without starting it with your fingures first, and tightened the tappet cover bolts with it . And 006 mm ??? dont think so pal. .006 " .152 mm your teaching people bad habits there pal. not to mention the amount of threads you're knackering up.

    • @TheHomePros6221
      @TheHomePros6221  3 года назад +1

      I ment .006 inches watch my 300 vid I say inches and trust me I haven’t messed any threads up I’ve been working on atvs my whole life and never stripped a thread I’m very easy with a impact it sounds like it’s torquing them more on camera but I assure you it’s not, it’s all about throttle control with a impact and most of the time I only use a impact to get the bolts started and use a torque wrench after which I don’t put on camera to save time. Check out my videos on fixing the fourtrax 300 with engine problems

      Perhaps you have a better video of doing it?

    • @jaseysmith1629
      @jaseysmith1629 2 года назад

      I’m a motorcycle tech and I understand where he is coming from about the impact, remember you may have been doing this for a while but you are teaching people how to do this!!! Show them how to do it the best way with out error, impacts as you know in inexperienced hands can ruin threads very easy! Especially in aluminum!!!
