Another great video! I think it’s pretty cool that you shared how much you’ve spent and made. You should definitely add up the value of all the rares and mystics that you decided to keep and count that towards the money you’ve made. The TCG player app makes it easy to tally up everything that you’ve added.
A suggestion for a "format" you could play when you have lots of cards from one set or more. I'm gonna do this with my group. We will play "free style limited commander" If one player has an idea for a deck they want to make for... duskmourn, they get the entire duskmourn pile of cards and make a 60 card (dublicates allowed) to make a deck out of that. Then the other players do the same with whatever set they want to craft a deck from. If multiple players want to make from the same set, shuffle ALL the cards, and split the piles to each player. Then they make 60 card decks out of the cards they have. they can even pre-pick commanders ahead of time if they truly want to and so on. Magic shine the most when you have not a optimal cherry picked constructed deck all the time imo. And this format allow you to utilize more cards. we never play with 40 health unless everyone have constructed optimal decks etc. 25 or 30 is well enough. Sure you can ofc mix sets and make decks. The key is just... find ways to utilize cards that just pile up! I hate it when people have huge piles of cards that just gather dust. It never has to be like that. Commons and uncommons provide some of the most fun, still! PS: You have really got an OK amount of money back. Like 50% back. You CAN sell bulk too, for more than expected. It's been really fun watching your openings :) I have spent like 2500£ on magic since last years. I've just bought so many play/draft boxes. I have the philosophy: "Buy a draft/play booster = buy a cube" And like I babbled on about prior, when we have game nights with magic we want to dive into THEME. When I buy a box of Innistrad for example, I have enough cards for a "halloween night" with halloween theme. and everyone use halloween themed cards. Then next weekend we have "cowboys night" and we play thunder junction, and only use cards from that :) PS2: I must break records for the biggest blabbermouth on youtube xD I never expect you to read all of it or find it interesting but I am just very passionate about magic ^^
I have been playing mtg for over seven years. Want some advice. Buy singles. Two reasons, you won't have towers of useless cards and you save so much money it's gross. I have top cards and I spent only 4k and I have most staples cards. No need to go out and unpack and chase. Simple. Also they go up which means you get your cash back later on. You want to make cash online trade stocks.
30 years old, havent played since like 13 or 14....decided to get back, this is what i spent in 2 days: Foundations Bundle 55€ Foundations Starter Collection 70 € plus shipping 1 LOTR play booster just for funsies 10 € 100+ € on aliexpress on playmat and sleeves and the cart is now holding about 140€ just in sleeves just waiting for me to forget that i already spent so much Should i be worried?! XD
If you spend that much on singles, you could have built like a modern deck or some pieces needed for eternal format like edh and legacy. That would be of better value imho.
Magic is helping me to quit smokig, instead of buying a pack of cigarettes, I buy a play booster...
Same bro
Smoking is helping me quit my magic addiction
This is the way. Stay strong, my friend.

I started two months ago. We are in this journey together, brother. Ride or die. I've only spent like $250 total though lol.
Don’t spend as much as me! Lol

I agree. If I wasn’t making YT Content from MTG, I would be buying only singles!

Singles are definitely better value!
Maybe your LGS can sponsor your YT!
I prefer not! Don’t wanna dox myself 😂
oh man i feel bad but Meathook is 5 bucks
In CAD, they’re going for anywhere between 11-21$ depending on the variant!
if possible you can support Eddy by being a member to the channel or spreading the word so we can have more good content (and cards)!
