    Varun Dhawan is the biggest example of how important an actor's voice is if he wants to become a superstar. You can't have a childlike voice and do action movies 🙏

  • @iamsameerjoshi_
    @iamsameerjoshi_ 4 часа назад +53

    The problem also lies in production houses betting constantly on nepo kids despite their failures. Everyone rooting for ananya pandey and praising her performances in CTRL and kho gaye hum kahan forget that she has been in the industry for 5+ years and she can only play herself (a genz privileged kid born in the tech era). And despite all her failures, sara ali khan keeps getting roles because of her connections. No one wants to bet on talent, but rather on the social media following of "influencers" and "stars". This is why we have seen the shift to OTT platforms where the risk is comparatively low and producers are open to experiement. If this wave goes on, there will come a time where getting an OTT release will be considered better than a theatrical one. (Jeetu Bhaiya is the biggest example for this) Despite being phenomenal for TVF, he barely got 1 film and his fans are eagerly waiting for Panchayat S4 to see him again. A sad reality for sure!

I feel sad that we are witnessing the downfall of one industry. All industries must thrive and give great story telling experience, cinematic marvelous. when i hear that xyz production house going to shut then i see that production house cannot provide employment to individuals and on whole its loss to our economy.

I think the actors potrayed the characters very natural , the writing was good and engaging, the music and showcasing bangalore was so good. The way to launch new faces in Bollywood is through emphasizing on franchises rather than selling movies on actors and actress. Just like in Hollywood. MCU started with relatively unknown faces and newcomers. As people were interested in character they were portraying not the actual actor.
    Munjiya being a part of Stree universe helped it a lot.
    Bollywood is still stuck in the past, they'll launch a new comers in romantic movie, emphasizing on their face value and chemistry which doesn't work anymore.

However, he has been involved in various projects and his entry into the industry was devoid of any flashy promotions or fake PR tactics. He is genuinely a talented actor. It’s like they start their journey to become heroes ultimately finally getting noticed for their work when they turn elder bros or in some cases father, sad realty of Bollywood. I really believe that Hindi Cinema needs to hit rock bottom before it can get better. When I see a poorly made film bomb, it actually makes me happy because it shows that even regular moviegoers are tired of that stuff. I'm a big Akshay Kumar fan, but when his average films don’t do well, I'm okay with it. We need to make sure that mediocrity gets called out and good work gets recognized. So, when a big movie flops, especially one with a major star, that’s a win in my book. Audiences should be focused on great writing. I’m really glad to see some shifts in the industry after the pandemic. It’s crucial for bad movies from big stars to fail. When producers realize they can't keep making money off just popular names and start investing in quality stories, that’ll be the turning point for Hindi Cinema. Right now, Malayalam cinema is already way ahead in that regard!

    There's literally nothing stopping producers from advertising young talent with the same insistence as nepo kids. Yes there won't be the built-in audience, but that's what marketing is for! Throw a big event, release songs, give actors the opportunity to build anticipation... Heck, take a leaf from K-pop's handbook of launching new idols, who grow a fan base even before their debut. (I'm not saying I'm wishing some K-pop practices on any industry or people, I'm saying it certainly can be inspiring to PR agencies). And, just an idea, invest in stories. If you poured the same amount of money that's being spent on giving fifth chances to nepo kids into actual advertising, you might get somewhere with a talented and charismatic but unaffiliated actor. It seems like the art of finding those actors itself has been lost (through misuse, probably - you don't need to wonder if the person actually has potential if they're gonna be launched anyway), but they're definitely out there.

    But the young declined during 2004-2007 also known as the Emraan hashmi era. The 18-25 age group leaned towards Hollywood movies and tv shows as VCR and cds became more popular
    Hindi industry has permanently lost the 18-25 age group after Imran khan rom com era ended. I don’t know if the era is gonna come back.

    The darkest period of Malayalam cinema was from 2000-2020 when the directors and actors eschewed the content driven formula for the commercial potboilers churned out by their southern counterparts..this somehow led to loss of essence and character in filmmaking that once set them apart
    The same is happening to Bollywood now..they have started chasing and mimicking the slapdash shelled out by Telugu films for commercial success..cinema just became profit rather than an experience in itself
    It’s time the Bollywood introspected as to what made it so loved from 70s to 2000s rather than replicating someone else’s recipe

    The fact that you made a mini-review of a series mentioning your favorite characters in the midst of an essay video at 8:46 instead of a separate video, makes me think that reviewers like you are also part of the problem. Any series or movie whose review won't give you the desired amount of engagement doesn't get made, and is instead briefly mentioned as part of another video.
    Reviewers not wanting to consider content and actors like this to have its own special mention, is very similar to the lack of faith producers show in backing new talent. You can make all the essay videos you want, but if you're also ultimately thinking the same way the producers do, nothing's changing.
