No it's not all 12 gen cpu are better, only gaming ones are better but for not gaming ryzen is better because of the power consumption and battery life.
@@moathmomani2887 it depends on the perspective. 12th gen is much much better in game and render. For example 12500H is better than 6800H in many scenarios. I agree to you for battery performance. Is the benchmark done with max fans? If not then how "loud" were they going? Was it on a cooling dock? Is it undervolted or overclocked in any way? Thanks
My CPU temp goes 85 sometimes even 90+ when I'm using discrete graphics (the SWITCH in MSI center). If I use the cool boost option then it becomes very cool but is it okay to run fans at cool boost always?
@@renegade198 yes for gaming, considering it can be up to at most 6 hours. I've never tested them that long but I'd rather have better thermals and possibly a broken cheap fan than the other option
Would be there a huge difference in i7-12700h + rtx 3070 ti (150w) VERSUS i7-11800h + rtx 3080 (165w) at 1440p gaming? I know it's just i7-11..., but it's like 200$ difference. The only one con is that the first is 2k screen, the second one 1080p.. (so external monitor needed...)
12700H has huge advantage in CPU Based games like Valorant, Lol, 3080 is %10 better in average but 12700H is %40 better than in multicore to 11800H. If 3080 is 16GB variant it can be advantage for future and 4K gaming. For example forza 5 can use 6/6.5GB VRAM in extreme settings (1080p) 1080p 360Hz is amazing duo with 12700H for CPU based games. Also if it GE it would have DDR5 pros (12th gen model) 1080p will have more clean years. Which one ks cheaper idk but 200 dollars not a small money. I think one of the most important thing to choice.
I have an issue. I own this exact same laptop and when mux switch is turned on, fps improves significantly but CPU temp also goes up, sometimes even hits 90 while playing CSGO. Should I use the cool boost mode? That reduces the temp a lot but I don't know if it's a good idea to run fans at such a high speed. I only game 2-3 hours a day btw. Should I just play normally without the switch on or Is it okay to play with it on and with cool boost so I get more fps while temps are down.i really don't wanna play games while temps are 85-95 it seems too much. Please help.
I dont understand, did i get broken laptop? My unit runs with 95/85 cpu/gpu temps and ≈1560MHz gpu, its way worse than this. I did undervolting, so temps are lower now 70/76 cpu/gpu, but still
It is normal buddy, the 12th gen H series chips go upto 115w when under load and have been claimed to work as normal even on 90+ temp so all the powerful 12th gen cpu gaming laptops have the same issue that is unless you know how to undervolt or limit the cpu to 45-55w power.
I have Alienware M15 R7 with 12700h and rtx3070ti and even my laptop with great cooling reaches 90+ temp on cpu when under load so it is fine, I researched extensively on this and Intel claims it is fine for the cpu to even reach max temp of 100 when under heavy load and cpu integrity will be fine however if you ask me for the piece of mind and longevity of such expensive machinery I would recommend you to undervolt or set wattage limit on cpu if you game for longer time or do long sessions of high load cpu tasks as prolonged high temps are not good for any machinery no matter even what the manufacturer says.

85-95 are normal for high end laptop cpus
And don’t run ur fans at max they will break but ur cpu won’t since for 12th gen cpus 90c is normal
