Good vid and review. I purchased this one last year back in July with the three link bracelet which prefer and couldn't be happier. Love the watch. Keep up the great work. Cheers!
I was lucky enough to get the monochrome for this year as a gift and I absolutely love it. The BB 41 Mono and BB58 GMT are my two favorite watches. If I had to pick just one watch, it would be the BB58 GMT. If I could add another watch, it would be the BB 41 Mono.
I love my new 58 GMT. It’s beautiful and all the same specs as this watch. I absolutely love the gilt and looks. I was undecided at first whether to get this one too. But fell in love with the GMT as soon as i saw it in person.
Great review. For a diver, I think this fits your wrist very well. That said, I agree with you, if a monochrome variant of the BB54 came out it would be an instant buy for me.
I had the BB41 black in-house for 3 years and had to sell it in 2023. I bought the BB58 black 7 months ago and it feels underwhelming. I bought the monochrome with the 5 link / jubilee a couple of months later and it has been my daily watch since. It's awesome! I've ordered the Tudor rubber strap with clasp since and when that comes in I will trade my 58 for the new Burgundy 41 as it looks excellent on the rubber.
@@JanniRidesOn it feels more assuring on my wrist. I would in your case try the monochrome on and assess it yourself. I prefer my old 41 to the 58 and I have a 7 inch wrist. Plus the t-fit clasp on the monochrome is an absolute must for me now.
@@alnadaf thx for the reply. I am also having a 7inch wrist .. maybe a bit more .. i am going to try it 👍🏽 do you feel the five link is easy to wear on a daily basis?
I prefer the scale and presentation of the BB54, especially for my 6.5" wrist. The Snowflake is better proportioned to my tastes too. The brass accents give visual character also. Both models are magic
I had a BB58 a couple of years ago, loved the size but didn't like the gilt coloring. Recently picked up the Monochrome and I love it. It feels the most like a Rolex Sub on my wrist than any other watch I've owned. Just with they would have went with 20mm lug with vs 21mm.
Great content as always. This Monochrome Tudor is already a near-perfect watch. IMO I think what would really throw it over the top is if it was designed with crown guards. Then this would really give Rolex Submariner and Omega Seamaster a run for the money.
In my opinion the 41mm size is great, not big at all. My monochrome looks perfect on my 17cm wrist. I think wrist circumference is overplayed, lug to lug width in relation to wrist width (measured across top to bottom) is much more important.
Have you had a chance to compare this to the Pelagos 39mm? I’m on the fence about which one to choose (wish I could have both) any thoughts would be appreciated! Great video.
I am stuck back & forth between the black and the burgundy one and can’t make up my mind which one to purchase.. I’d get both if I could lol seriously I can’t decide which one to buy ..
It depends what else you have in your collection so the models won't clash. For an everyday driver I would go with the black one. If you have an everyday black watch already - the burgundy would work better.
@ thanks for your response and input. This will be my first luxury watch, while I agree, the black and white goes with everything and it’s timeless, my dilemma is the burgundy color matches my brand’s color. So I feel it would be a good way to promote my business when people start conversations about the watch. Great video thank you
I bought the BB Monochrome and all three bracelets and sold my Sub 124060. The ceramic bezel was too much "bling" for me (I know this is a completely subjective judgement). Couldn't be happier with this watch. For my 7.5" wrist and 69 year-old preferences ;) It's perfect.
0:23 the brushing orientation of the lug tops doesn't match the end links. Under many lighting conditions it looks like the bracelet doesn't match the case. such s shame!
In this realm.... I see it (price point aside) BB41 vs EXP1 vs SUB(no date) vs SM 300 ..... tough call on all , when you can get "value" or go presitge.
I have the burgundy and a 6.5 wrist. I thought it would be too big, but when I tried it on at the AD, it fit perfectly (and I dislike large watches). I was going to get the 54, but honestly, this fit better.
Much prefer the 41 to the 58, and for me the 3-link bracelet is superior in every way to the 5-link, regulate the 5-link for the dressier watches. Shame Tudor changed the second hand to a circle on the 41; doing so caused me to not purchase the watch.
Pelagos 39 is the best Tudor in my opinion. Also despite the following four imperfections: 1) The wrong naming: It is a modern update of The Tudor Oyster Prince 7016/0 Snow Flake Hands. 2) The “underlumed” hands compared to the lumed bezel and markers 3) The broad clasp with the dive suit extension. 4) The red Pelagos text colour on the dial borrowed from the Rolex Seadweller. It’s my GADA watch and I love it for its toolish design and comfort.
@@lamentate07 I guess it would add some luxury steel sports watch vibe to the P39. It definitely would look good🤩 Regarding scratch resistance it is my experience that Titanium 5 is only a tad better than Titanium 2 but leaves more visible "scars".
Just buy the submariner, it's much better imo. It's thinner, it has shorter lug to lug, and it has a greater clasp adjustment. It also has white gold hands, and a platinum inlay. It's a dream of a watch, and the only watch that'll never be on the chopping block.
I saw all three variants of the BB41 in a shop, it looks really fresh, to me especially on the rubber strap. Nice watch but somehow the long hour hand gives me ocd, especially when it overlaps the hour markers. I have no issues with the snowflake shape but to me the hour hand is simply too long and too big. Look how Tudor does it for their GMTs, Pelagos or the new BB36: the hour hand looks way better when it's shorter. I hope they will implement this design improvement in other watches like e.g. BB54, which is actually my favourite Tudor.
Hi, this is off-topic from the video but I was wondering what you thought of Heron Watches. Based out of Montreal. I just discovered them from Watch Crunch and I have been impressed with what I have discovered about them! Thanks.
Rolex Sub 300 m WR 12.4 mm thin Tudor bb58 200 m WR 11.9 mm thin Tudor bb58 (GMT + date) 200 m WR 12.8 mm .... Tudor bb41 200 m WR 13.6 mm thick Why, oh, why Tudor? Thanks for the vid, man.
Rolex submariners are widely available. You can pick up a 14060m which has a modern movement, but 2 lines of text and a vintage proportions. Just buy the real thing. Or save yourself thousands and buy one of the hundreds of similar looking subs from other brands that cost around $1000 dollars. There are closer examples than this. This watch fails the cheap alternative test to the sub.

Great watch but fixed lugs are not for everyone.
I got the monochrome on my 7 inch wrist. Everything is spot on except from the thickness. Too chunky for me qq

Too thick
I hate that snowflake hand! I’d have to buy a Submariner hour hand and have put on this watch or I just couldn’t look at it!
Honestly, i have been looking at it for a while. However, those hour hands are just ugly ... just ugly
Too big
They still have to work drastically on the thickness .🤔🥴

People who buy Tudor usually cannot buy Rolex. It’s 100% true
People who buy Tudor are people who think outside the box. Outside the green box, that is.
