Ironic the last fight in this movie is just like last fight in raid redemption
@@huncho9154 yeah, dare I say it was almost more brutal in some regards. With some SICK cuts and bone crackers it was pretty painful to watch.
Not that I’m complaining of course.
What really did it for me was their reactions. In the Raid, they took most of them hits like Gs. Here? You could tell that bro was trying his absolute best to not let them off easy.
South East Asian martial arts are brutal. It's amazing to watch.

just call it "jawa martial arts" or "malay martial arts". it's different from the rest of southeast Asia. jawa forged by blood too like Europe. but instead of armor and stuff, jawa people back then use martial arts as the basic self-defense. also, jawa people use diplomacy and trading power too. not just by force. so, not as brutal as the medieval Europe that full with wars and cruelty

muay Thai is too focus on the kick.
philipines? is about using stick and short blades like knife and stuff.
jawanese/malay martial arts is more flexible. kick okay, punch okay, using tools okay, using weapons okay, wrestling the opponent is okay, even using poison is okay. it's like kung fu. it's like the kung fu of the southeast Asia.
but unlike kung fu that all about energy stuff, silat here is just about using everything to defeat the enemy. but still in a style... not so random, brutal, barbaric.

Shang Tsung doesn’t use _pencak silat_ though, but it can work for Baraka or Smoke who even fights using _karambit_
I think his biggest obstacle is english. Needs time for older people to learn new language

@@mubienkvape it's not that his English is bad or limited, he's a grandmaster after all. He has disciples from Europe, especially France. He probably doesn't have a Hollywood agent like Iko Uwais, Joe Taslim and Arifin Putra.
it's great that finally silat and indonesian actors coming to the fore. and, not just Chinese, japan or koreans. growing up watching Chinese gong fu, japan samurai and Indonesian movies. I only started watching Korean movies and tv shows lately. oh, yes, i also watched Bollywood a lot back then. not, anymore though.
