I can’t do those in fear of inadvertently dropping money in the coffers of the Rodent House.
was it woketarded?
bro the inner monologue thing for real! im still freaked out by it.
Thx for not spoiling it gonna check it out tonight:)
It's Yayan Roo-hee-yaan.
As Indonesian, we tend to call him Mad Dog.
I was crossing my fingers for this one, because I think its the best thing we can use as a measuring stick of how good The Last Ronin could be. Obviously TLR is a darker tone, but the people behind this and the energy/fights are there. Very optimistic now.
Loved it! Super fun, surprising heart at the end and most importantly short with no wasted moments. Makes it something I could enjoy watching over and over again. Honestly can’t think of an action film that was paced this well since Baby Driver (and that one just literally has a musical pulse to the whole thing) but this was super enjoyable and will be a favorite. Also we need more Jessica Rothe cause between Happy Death Day and this… she is FIIIINE
It was a fun movie, and agreed on Jessica Rothe, probably one of the more underrated actresses.
I saw a few previews and the poster for this movie, and didn’t think much of it at first…
The instant I saw Mad Dog on the poster, I knew I had to see this movie.
Love your reviews, Jeremy! Will definitely check this movie out
I loved this movie and I can’t wait till it comes out on streaming (and if anyone I know wants to go see it then I’ll probably go with them to see it again) I was a little bit surprised to find that most of the scenes in the movie were in the trailer, which made the movie feel a bit quick but I still had so much fun. I think it’s really sad that they didn’t advertise it very well though, because there’s almost no one talking about it.
It was epic. I thoroughly enjoyed it! 😂 “Golden Toe Jam”
also this is probably the best crow movie version were gonna get from Bill Skaarsgard 😂
For a moment, I was confused why Boy dropped the frying pan for a cheese grater. Then he actually used the cheese grater and YIKES that was brutal
Went to the premiere last year at TIFF. They gave out macarons at the end, referencing an ongoing joke in the film. It was a lot of fun!
I’ve been looking forward to this one since I first heard about preproduction in late 2021.
I watched it last night on the early premiere and LOVED it. Admittedly, I am a huge fan of Bill Skarsgard and love that man dearly. Cannot imagine anyone else playing this role as well as he did.
I felt all the emotions when he had those heart string tugging scenes. He gave a phenomenal performance!
The movie was a damn fun time! ❤❤❤
This movie was saved drastically by it's ending. Without that last 15 min this movie would be mediocre at best.
@@JuliusTurner-hm6ff sorry you think that. It was a fun time from start to finish for me. I can’t wait to own the physical media.
@tinabeckel950 nah action was "been there done that" with boring villains until the last reveal when the real action took place.
@@JuliusTurner-hm6ff well, you should go chat up someone else who shares your opinion and view points, because I one thousand percent disagree and have no desire to discuss negativity online.
@tinabeckel950 calling a review of a movie "negativity" is like me saying you're an angry person who hates cows, because you said you don't drink milk. Lol. Have a nice day. Lmmfao!
H Jon Benjamin (voice of Archer, Bob, Coach McGuirk) as the inner monologue is what sold me on going to check this film out
Oh wow, I love that that ultimate enemy in The Raid: Redemption is back as the master in this film. I was excited, but I'm extra hype now.
You had me at 'Yayan Ruhian' The Raid movies are my favourite action movies!
I really like this movie. The concept of the inner monologue, and it being Archer, was a great choice. It let the comedy be there and still let the action be the action... well except for sweaty palms... I lost it.
The studio should do a No More Heroes adaptation
Are you gonna post this on every review for this movie?
@@windowsVD only on the 4-5 I've seen. Want to see if different audiences have similar reaction
It’s a good thing I saw the review I somehow thought this was the Austin butler motorcycle movie coming out
After It, Dune, The Northman, and Vikings, the name Skarsgard has got my money. That family can act.
Hey @Jeremy, I've been tuning into your channel since the dawn of your RUclips era. Fun fact: we're the same age! But let's spill some tea: nobody's snagging Blu-rays anymore. I mean, does anyone even use that word outside of a tech museum? How about we cook up a fresh new ranking system together? I'm all in if you need a brainstorm buddy! 🌟
I want to see it, but I wanted to see it in my Dolby Cinema, but it wasn’t in it, so didn’t go. Dammit. I will for sure get the 4K Blu ray. Love your reviews, Brother! Fully trusted, like Dan Merle.
Jeremy my king. I need your Blasphemous 2 review.
This movie was absolutely insane in the best way. The Raid: Redemption made by Looney Toons.
i saw this movie at TIFF last fall and they actually had Bill Skarsgard narrating which was... interesting. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it felt too much like Deadpool. Interesting they changed that from festival to official release. Liked this thing and was really impressed by the action even if the comedy was a little cringe at points.
It's still cringe
So far we have buy on Blu-ray for 2024 are Boy Kills World, Dune part 2, Abigail, First Omen, and Late Night with the Devil. These are all a must watch IMO.
Sadly, the only one out of those that has delivered solid box office numbers is Dune 2. With so many strong low to mid-budget movies underperforming or straight up bombing, it does seem like theaters are increasingly becoming the place for big budget franchise movies and not much else.
Went to see this today and had a lot of fun! Was pretty much what I expected. Good time.
I randomly watched the trailer for this and oh man, it looked like a completely popcorn-worthy watch at the theatre, glad it's good at least.
Caught this last night. Such a wild ride, so much carnage, humor, and wtf haha. Need to catch it again.
I haven’t seen it yet but when I saw the previews of it I knew it was right up my alley as far as movies go.
it definitely looks like a fun over the top revenge movie ahaha the inner monologue voice is a fun addition to it... I wanna see it
I saw this on Monday in a Mystery Screening, had an absolute blast!
I won’t do mystery screenings for fear of inadvertently supporting the Rodent House financially.
The final battle is worth the price of admission holy shit
Jeremy! Go watch Hundreds of Beavers ASAP. Saw it a week ago at Night Visions Film Festival in Helsinki Finland and laughed my ass off. Keep up the good work!
The Toxic Avenger did a move where it sounded like an inner monologue.
I think the voice was explained in a trailer! It was an announcer from a fighting game he loved.
Man jeremy is like cristopher nolan of youtube. Once in a while he comes out and upload a video with lots of heart and soul in it. His jokes are awesome. I wish he made more videos
This guy?
Doesn't he make a video review of all the movies that have just released? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Nolan has many attributes, but heart and soul?
@@commandercaptain4664 yeah nolan put his heart and sould into making his movies
@@DrMcMoist did you just come out of your mother's womb? Did you watch other youtube channels? They make lots of videos regarding breakdowns and 10 things they found in a new trailer. Jeremy only make videos when a movie comes out
@@user-qp8yp5et9y A'right, don't get your ovaries in a twist.
This sounds like a movie for me! Thank you for the review, I’m gonna get tickets now!
Movie was great. If you like that trash Monkey Man then it may not be for you.
On the subject of movies that have two endings. JJ, I highly recommend watching the Korean thriller, Call from 2020. I'd actually be super interested in your take on the film. If you liked Frequency with Dennis Quaid and that other guy who sucks, you'll love this one.
The trailer for Boy Kills World reminded a lot of Hardcore Henry and I freaking loved that movie so I'm def gonna check this one out!
Quick question Jeremy, any plans to incorporate streaming into your ranking categories? You have buy on blueray, as an example, but have you thought to do, stream on free trial, or would pay to stream as updated options to the rankings?
I won't have an inner monologue, didn't realise it was unusual until a few years ago.
Honestly, one of the best movies I’ve watched in 2024, I’ll even put it in my top 3 films of this year.
Nice! But where is the Shogun review Jeremy?😅
