    Thank you very much
I did before yesterday full legs massage, yesterday full arms massage and I can say I'm happy
I have knees arthritis, meniscus fissure, fatigue, muscular dystrophy...and after I did this,
I feel more "lighter ", I walk with more ease,I didn't feel so much hight
    on my body
Thank you again 💓 with appreciation 🙏🙂

    Thank you for this.
I have been practicing on myself and clients for a couple of years
It's been a life saver. The miracles I have witnessed are unbelievable..
I must say having another person that is proficient at this technique to work on you is way better.....
The deep bruising I have witnessed that then heals is so amazing. Wish I could leave photos here.
    Blessings

I have Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Myofascia Pain, Chronic Fatigue, Sciatica, Migraines, ADHD, and Severe Anxiety.
Needless to say, I’m in so much pain that I frequently do a lot of self-massage. I wish I had access to a massage therapist to help, but I don’t.
I ran across one of your videos about 5 days ago and was pleasantly surprised that Gua Shu was so helpful for people with these conditions. So I purchased a nice set and am raring to get started.
    Thanks for the video.

Benz Girlz oh my- I’m so so sorry to hear that. All these conditions kind of all come in a package don’t they. 😩. I don’t know if you have seen this yet, but I did a video on how to do this with fibro and why it works, so if you haven’t watched it yet I would. ruclips.net/video/Yl1H_SmVeyY/видео.html
I started this channel with the intent of helping others who are suffering like I was. When it worked I knew I had to tell the world because At no point did any doctor tell me any of this. When this helps you it will mean everything to me! So please let me know!

I would like to recommend to you the book and dvd from Arya Nielsen called “Guasha: a traditional technique for modern practice”. Arya is an acupuncturist who has been practicing and teaching since the seventies. She has a research doctorate and faculty appt at Beth Israel medical center. She is the foremost authority on Guasha in the United States. Even if Guasha is not your only modality, there are several basic principles you should know to practice it correctly. Direction is important and the muscle should always be relaxed. I am a huge fan and practitioner myself. I love seeing this tremendous modality get further exposure.

My myofascial journey started by doing "smashing" exercises like using rollers and lacrosse balls. However, I find gua sha/scraping to be easily twice as effective and longer lasting. It would be nice if you made a video when to smash and when to gua sha? the only reason I can think of smashing is if you cant scrape it, like you cant scrape your back by yourself but you can smash. I'm tempted to throw my trigger point tools away if gua sha beats it in every way. Also you're very attractive, wish more people took care of themselves as well as you do.

    • @Zionsedgemassage
      @Zionsedgemassage  5 лет назад +5

First off, Thank you Damon:). You just made my day. . And yes I agree that modalities like foam rolling are less effective for many parts of the bod. Thats a great idea for a video though. I pretty much just use my roller for parts I can't scrape. Though sometimes it's good to do both, especially if I have an injury. sometimes you need a little pin and stretch on that lacrosse ball to get it all stretched out. What tools do you use for trigger point?

Hey Tyann, I used to actually used to live next to you, and my mother-in-law even used to live with you guys. I run Spartan races just like you used to and I am wondering if scraping the night before a race would be a good idea, or not. I just used the backside of a butter knife the other night before I got my tools and my left calf is bruised (which sounds like it is normal), but I don't want to get too bruised the night before a Beast, or even an Ultra where I will be doing a lot more obstacles like the Tyrol Traverse, or walls, inverted walls, etc.where they will come in contact with that bruised area and hurt too much. Is there a benefit to doing this before a race? I've been told that I might have issues with my IT band, which have led to a fractured tibia, which I am currently recovering from (and I'm headed to the Vegas races this month, to WALK!!!). Thanks for sharing these awesome videos!

Hi Christopher! How is your mom doing? Hope she is doing well- she is a sweet lady. So with scraping, if you do it the day before, it’s only for a light brush over. I definitely wouldn’t create any petichae. Yes the bruising is normal - but for deeper work, I would give your body a while to recover from it. Its likes a deep tissue or a hard workout. So maybe a week before or more.

Hey girl! I´ve done gua sha in myself last night after about 30min in the asana mat(do you know this? I´ve been trying everything!) in my neck and slept for like 11 hours!!! Do you think this was the gua sha?? Woke up very groppy. Do I need to pass on oil or it can be just moisturizing? My skin has to be clean? Can´t use it a little all day long? My skin didnt get red, I don´t know if it´s because I did not so much because I´m very white and get red very easily just by massage. How long shoul I do? The parts that aches the much are my cervical and scapula area.I do everything, foam roller, electrial massager, asana mat, yoga, lots of pepper cream to numb but nothing really worked 100% so far....=( still looking for an answer to live with this chronical pain that has been with me for the past 14 years(ps: I´m only 31) =( thank you, you´re inspiring as a dancer(dance to your choreos until I die lol) and also as a therapist and a fellow fibro buddy, inspiring to see u living a normal life, that´s the goal!! Hi Lara - Sorry it took so long to respond. And I feel ya girl. Living with chronic pain- no one understands. Since it's been 3 weeks, I'd love to hear how you responded to it. Did you keep up with it?
Gua sha can definitely help you sleep better - Though maybe you went a little too long. But when you do Gua Sha, definitely make sure you have oil or cream on your skin. - and it will feel better if its clean.
If your skin isn't getting red, it wasn't quite ready for it. It probably needed to be warmed up more, massaged more before gua sha.
