I quite agree, Dylan was a great songwriter but Cave is the perfect interpreter of this song, he brings the necessary intensity that the song deserves ...
It's the credit sequence for 'The Road To God Knows Where', a documentary of the Bad Seeds' '89 tour of North America. You should totally check it out, the band is awesome in it, off-stage as well as on. Cave gives every single journalist and groupie a verbal smackdown, and Bargeld is awesome as well.
Glad you played it out. It took some time for me to appreciate it, but like I just said you left me with two thumbs up and a new found respect and appreciation. I'd never heard any of your music before, but now I am looking forward hearing what else you do. Good job on Wanted Man and thanks for putting it out there, glad I gave it a chance like I say, two thumbs up... I'll pass it on and can't wait to listen to and experience something else of yours.

I checked your rendition out of curiosity having been a big fan of George Thorogood's version for many years now and just heard Jonny Cash do it, not nearly as well as Thorogood's. Cash disappointed me and then a link to your rendition came up so figured 'why not'. I was so disappointed thinking what a waste of time, but I let it play out of some masochistic curiosity...I let it play out and by the time I was into it, I really got into it and ended up with two thumbs up. Glad I played it out.
Glad you played it it out, Nick Cave is great but no doubt he takes a while to get used to and really tests his listeners patience lol. I love what he did with the lyrics personally, he seems to flip it on its head in my interpretation and makes it about a man with problems in his relationship trying to make himself feel better about not being wanted by his wife anymore.
@correcttech It's from the Bad Seeds video clip compilation, it's the last video hence the credits. I don't think this was ever actually released as a video clip though.

this is crap
The game Really ❤

Nick Cave does Bob Dylan. Nice........
Beautiful video. I love
Sounds great- Mr. Cave at his vicious, menacing best… this could fit well on the end of 'Murder Ballads'
This song and pint of beer = happy day
Cheers buddy
just great

Jesse Dylan's video editing to make this is extremely good. This video was not easy to make.
Very glorious.

dont sit alone in your apartment and trip while you are listening to nick cave and the seeds.
And then go to Grinderman, unless you have another bottle of wine.

Boby Dylan wrote this one
@correcttech It's from the Bad Seeds video clip compilation, it's the last video hence the credits.
I don't think this was ever actually released as a video clip though.
Entrances me till the end of time
Remember me times when I was Wanted Man. Just in Czech Republic.
great musican!!
I thought Mick Harvey had directed this, and 3:22 confirms it.
He's pretty good at these 'lo-fi videos,' for lack of a better term.
Totally for me
Reminds me of the cramps. But I love the cramps like crazy I never got too into them. Attractive guy though
what? do you love the cramps or not?
W Nick Cave sempre e comunque
Versão de Johnny Cash alucinante e com bom desempenho
Real love of usa country LIFE vol leven
Looking at the footage makes me question why I ever thought these guys were cool and admirable, haha. Still, good cover!
In a certain angle and a certain light...lol
if the devil comes collectin' he better hold a six-gun in its hand

Can anyone read the name on the star Barry Adamson is standing on at 3:30?
Did Nick Cave ever actually leave America behind? Or arrive for that matter!
@EuchridEucrow1 That's Thomas Wylder
Esto es Nick Cave mejor que into my arms.
Must be that certain angle and that certain light ;)
9 wanted men ...
4:27 ... ohhhh... so this is how they lost their first drummer!
Well, Thomas Wydler is their first drummer and is still in the band. Or did you perhaps pull a spinal tap reference?
kickuh
Cave man
Cave man and woman
4:01, red shirt, Warren Ellis??
@olantxero
Indeed it is!!
from what movie is this?
3:35-3:48 The sexiest, funniest thing I have ever seen.
Really? You should check out Cardiacs' Tarred and Feathered video then...
4:00
is that Lee Ranaldo?
Nick Cave is the missing link between Jim Morrison and Danzig
huh
@pepsis1987 ...ali on je ludji nego đavo...
@Siste4366 Blixa's been very outspoken on his views towards Nazism so I am pretty certain it's just joking around.
is this from a doc? anybody?
🥵😵cortate pie derecho✓✓✓✓✓
ol' Snake Hips Cave @ 3.42
4:24
That's not Warren Ellis, it's Conway Savage. Warren toured exclusively with The Dirty Three until he joined the Bad Seeds in the late 90's.
There is conway, but also Warren Who is moving at this moment of the video
nice version, but I still prefer the Johnny Cash version.
Not the best Cave's cover ... the original , Dylan with Johnny Cash , is the reference .
Sorry, also Spain. Wanted Man in Spain, not really. Kind of... just kicked me off.. or out? Long time ago
america a grreat place to be wanted so many fat people to hide behind grreat song for names of places i want to now visit rockonbonzo76
Johnny Cashs version= amazing.....
This is fucking horrible
amen. this sounds like William Shatner imitating Jim Morrison.
