    Nice story. I recently learned that racial oppression lessoned the further south you went in Florida. This story seems to support that theory.

      Not being able to buy land and segregation is still oppression though.

      @RandysWorld65 I didn't say none. But compared to places like Rosewood near tallahasse where the entire town was burned out, and Miami area where supposedly slavery never was able to be established, blacks and whites living in peace in a racist environment seems like a happy medium for the time.
