- Some trips end up being days on the water with your buddies and some beer but this trip I had that and my first limit of fluke for the season. Not everyone on the boat caught keepers but I had a blast fishing with Captain Jerry on the Monger.
Gear Used in the Video

Setup 1: Shimano Vanford 3000/ Bull Bay Tac-X 7'0"
15 LB Braid to 30 LB Fluoro
Setup 2: Jigging World Nexus 2-6 Oz/Daiwa Tatula 100HL
What a day! So much laughter and congrats on the the fluke! Loved the PB starfish too, lol!
Thanks Nidia! Yea that’s one of the bigger fluke I caught on the spinning rod so I’m finally getting a feel for it on bigger fish 🙌🏾. And lol they gonna tease me about that starfish for the rest of the year 🤣
Looks like a great trip. That PB starfish is a beast.
Great video, thanks for sharing, new subscriber.
Thanks Chris and welcome to the channel 😊 🙌🏾
Looks like a great time out on the water with friends!
It sure was a 4th of July fishing trip full of fun 😂
Nice PB starfish lol I definitely want to get on the Monger one day. Capt Jerry is a beast getting people on fish.
🤣🤣🤣 them jokers would not let me live that down lol…I really enjoy the wildlife out there baby fish and starfish alike 🤣🤣
Good times with good friends and a lot of laughs with the chop busting. 😂 always a great time fishing with you my friend. Even tho you had chelly try to take my head off with a jig and blame it on the reel lol
Factual facts…I don’t think I’ve had a more fun 4th of July in my 35 years of life haha…laughed so much we had Shawn over there thinking we ate some gummies 🤣🤣. And listen bro…any means necessary to out-fish you on the boat 💪🏾🤣💀
@@PhillyGirlFishing you did get me this trip next time I’m going hard all business and no startfish jokes lol 😂
@@nickdevereaux7920 I’m ready bro let me know when you ready for a rematch 💪🏾🙌🏾
Nice video as always
Thanks again! 🎣
So how you were barely jigging the rod, my wife caught her 12.5 same style. I never jig like that unless it's crazy current. The idea to me is maintain the jig as close to bottom as possible in that current. The chest cam view gives a good shot of that motion 👍
What’s funny is with this rod I really can’t go much past 1.5 oz so I was using a 1 oz jig which with that current was kinda struggling to hold bottom but I keep pushing myself to get used to it. On my next trip in RI you’ll see I caught another solid 5-6 lb fish same method on that bull bay rod.
Position ur camera somewhere else. Seeing a reel crankin is not fun!
Thanks for watching 😊🎣
