- Every year I take a week of vacation right around my birthday and fish my little heart out haha. Throwback Thursday post to 7/1/23 when I went out with some friends on J2 and had the chance to teach a church friend of mine how to jig for fluke.

Happy belated birthday Kristen! Looks like you had a lot of fun, and lots of laughter! It has been too long since Duane and I have been on the water. We will be out there soon though, our new boat will be delivered Saturday, and the fishing drought should end next week. Yay! We also have a fishing trip planned during our Alaska cruise at the end of the month/first week of August. Congrats on this trip!

Thank you 😊 And chyle yea that was the plan but I do the entire 9 hour drive down solo…the weather looked sketchy for the Thursday when I would’ve driven down and the Friday I wanted to fish before our trip so I stayed local and fished in NY instead. Glad y’all had fun though 🙌🏾

Thank you!! They have rental rods but they only set you up with hooks, sinkers and bait. If you want to jig you’ll need to buy you own setup (I let her borrow mine), jigs and gulp.
