Such a positive change. What a cool looking little horse. Imagine how beautiful he would look cleaned up and brushed out. Well done all. Thanks so much for sharing.
Watching this one again. This pony is so beautiful, and despite his fear he's polite in the way he moves his feet away from touch. Lovely that he could reach a place of trust through Steve's patience, kindness and teaching.
This was so heartwarming. So many people do things cruel and impatiently. But you gave us knowledge on how to accomplish them professionally and with compassion. Well done! Bravo!
I was given a 20 year old TB. Her feet had been trimmed so thin so many times. when I got her, she refused my farrier. Worked with her, she realized I would not hurt her and she let us help her. Had her another 12 years, shè gave me a beautiful half Hanoverian colt, and she spent the rest of her life with her son under my loving care. My fabulous Abby, the most beautiful TB I've ever seen. My first horse, she taught me so much.
Brilliant! What a great team! No doubt these owners are appreciative helping them to work with these rescue horses. What a relief not having to tranquilize him every time the farrier comes over. Safety for all concerned! Another successful venture! You say it with such pride, when you introduce your son-in-law, Dan! Happy Trails! 😇🙏🙌💜💚🩵
Love how the horse wants to watch everything & when he gets it that he needs to do this & there's no harm, he's all sweetheart. Even that last rear & pull-away was very gentle. Another triumph for Steve---AND for the horse who is learning to trust!
I am almost in tears at this beautiful pony’s transition from anxiety and upset to not just acceptance but active cooperation and surprise that nothing is hurting or frightening. I’m sure this will be the start of a brand new way of life for him, where he can trust the humans around him and know he’s respected and cared for. All those licks and chews! Wow. ❤❤❤
It just really sounds me that they carry a horrible experience. Steve my respect for you is enormous because your care for these animal. Thank you so much for your help and support From Lou Det Mi. ❤
I fully appreciate how difficult this chunk of a boy would have been for his owners, he's a very strong, solid chap! He's very sweet once he's given the chance to learn how its safe to allow his feet to be handled. Watching this video brought back a long ago memory of a young mare, also solid and adamant about not giving her feet, the owners asked me to help & I didn't put my hat on, the force of the pony pulling her front foot sharply away, pulled my head into her shoulder with such force, it made me literally see stars 🌟 for several minutes! Steve is so right about getting experienced help if you need it. Another very nice job accomplished Steve & Dan👏, well done both.
Nice to see you, Steve, and these wonderful owners and rescuers again! I love the dignity and care they give these wonderful horses. I miss hearing Tanya!
Many years ago I owned a small ranch. I raised Arabians. When my mares foaled, I'd start working with them, touching them, rubbing them, scratching them, running my hands up and down their legs, and eventually living their legs. Saved me and my farrier time, in the long run. And it made the foal more trusting of humans. Love of the animals you care for is essential, along with compassion. Great job!👍
Another great video thank you Steve, Tanya and Dan. Always a treat to watch you work with these troubled horses and make such a positive difference to their lives and the owners
Amazing results in just a short time by knowing what to do. I’m in awe every time I watch Steve with horses (and dogs). Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world. I think every farrier should see these videos so they can tell their clients to watch Steve.
Steve that was great as usual, you have a great camera lady and an equally great blacksmith. I really appreciate how patient you are with all the horses, thanks for yet another grand clip
So awesome Steve, Tanya and Dan! Love watching these videos and how Steve gets them to make it their idea. Seems like such a simple technique, yet for the horse, it's a matter of survival. Blessings to your whole family! I look forward more videos.
Love watching you Steve.... Your heart is full of love for your pupils/horses and they know this..... You get the job done every time and we see that..... Blessings darling boy from Granny Linda in OZ......
Well done. So great to see you helping this horse coming into new ways of behaviour. Love to see him all groomed. Well worth all the time and effort Thank you
I loved watching this! I wasn't able to listen to it but I could certainly SEE what was going on. My trainer used to say, "Make the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult" and you have done just that. With plenty of patience and some treats and pats, you have transformed this pony into a calm and happy guy. Standing still and accepting treats and loves while your feet get worked on is SO much better than endlessly turning in circles and he figured it out pretty quickly! Thank you for taking the time and for sharing the journey! I bet he'll be a beauty when he is shed out and cleaned up. Hope we get to see some "after" pictures!
Good morning from Texas. I am up early watching your video. I am one of those people that you referred to very often. I know absolutely nothing about horses except that while feeding the horse next-door, he stepped on my foot. I learned not to treat a horse like a dog!😂 I have wanted to tell you that I think what you do is just amazing. I enjoyed the fact that you are teaching everyone about horse psychology, and how important that is when training a horse I watch a couple of American horse rescues and they use some of your methods One lady talks about natural horsemanship. I googled this and I think that is what you do. What do you think of that term and is that the method that you consider yourself using again? Love your channel love what you do you are amazing. Have a great day to all your other viewers out there.
You should check out buck brannaman too. I believe that's one of the people that Steve has learned a lot from over the years, while honing his own style and doing what works for him. ❤
They are so fuzzy and majestic ✨️ being not sure is something they pick up on immediately! If you dont have calm cool i know what im doing and everything is fine vibes - they will not relax. You guys are awesome 👌
That pony's eyes were so expressive! At the end he looked really surprised as to what he was allowing to happen to him. Well done
Only the Lord knows what these poor ponies have been through! Thank You!!!
The horse is so beautiful. He looks like a stormy sky.
wow, you showed him he doesn't have to fight and be frightened. how wonderful.
Such a positive change. What a cool looking little horse. Imagine how beautiful he would look cleaned up and brushed out. Well done all. Thanks so much for sharing.
somebody hurt his feet once and he has never forgotten!

What about the sweetest little pink-white horse nose peeking in every now and again at the start of the video ❤ so adorable.😊
Yes, he is so nosey that it’s cute.
I have nothing to do with horses. I just enjoyed watching a skilled person care for this beautiful animal.
