Thanks for this guide. Followed it when installing M3 seats in my F31. I had a driver restraint error that wouldn't clear with Bimmerlink but realised it was a blown driver side seat belt tensioner. I hadn't switched my ones over to the M3 seats due to laziness (and because they looked the 'same'). Anyhow, had to take the seat out again, swap the buckles over then managed to clear the error with Bimmerlink. Learnt my lesson. Long-winded way of saying thanks for the vid!

Great video, I used this one and Jon's from Thic Whips as a guide to retrofit M4 front seats as part of a full interior swap in my M235. I originally had the Oyster interior, but swapped the door cards and rear seats with the black leather/alcantara with Polar Blue stitching from an M2. I also added a wire on each seat from pin 17 of the under seat connectors so the M logos illuminate whenever the ambient lighting is in sport mode, then finally colored the M4 seat stitching blue to match everything else.

Thank you. The price is up there, but I was even looking at the Recaro Sportster CS and those are 1500 each and you still need brackets. I would say they're in between the M sport and the Recaro Sportster (not a true race seat).

Did you notice in the stock seats that you sit crooked (yawed to the left)? Jason Cammisa brought this up and I noticed that my left foot isn’t fully aligned to the dead pedal. Do you still sit crooked on these seats?
Do you have rec on how to move the seat back to reveal the front bolts to uninstall? Only one side of the passenger seat moves so I am unable to visibly see the front bolts.

I have a C9540B code where the passeneger seat control up and down is reversed. If unplug the big yellow plug and replug it, it will work normally until the ignition is turned off and back on, it will happens again. I tried buying another seat control module and it worked for the first 10 minutes but then it went back to reversed. Any idea how to fix this? Corrored or messed up fuse?
Hey man i just installed some sport seat on my f30 sedan and I didn't swap the modules because the are heated seats do you think it would be fine if I just swap the module and hire someone to code it or just code with the same module that already comes on the seats
The new seats are heated and your old ones are not? If that's the case you would need to code it in because you don't even have the heat buttons on your control panel, correct?
I’m late to the party but I hope u can answer this. Is the base of these new seats (where ur butt sits) wider then the original seat? The problem for me is that my left thigh sits almost on the thigh bolster and it’s really uncomfortable.
I don't have the exact measurements but these seats seem to fit more snug. Since the bolstering on these are more aggressive then you might want to look into the base model that has a flat profile
Can we as a 2 series community get together and ask bimmer tech for a 6WB digital cluster for our 2 series. I’ve been asking them for a while and with no results and it would be a nice mod to give us more info in our cluster

Was looking at fitting m3 f80 front seats to an f31, the f31 seats have the heated seat button on the actual seat. I noticed that newer models have the heated function on the centre console instead. Would this be a massive issue to rewire it or would I just need to get a centre console with the heated function button ?

I did not disconnect the battery or need to have the seats in the same position.

This might sound weird, but it does feel like you sit higher in the M seats, but I had to adjust my steering wheel and mirrors down

I didn't notice that. There is some slight play in holes that the bolts pass through. Perhaps it's crooked?

It does not. I did not do the additional wiring, but there are 2 different ways to do it , I believe.

It’s not that easy though. For me it required soldering and a lot of software updates to make it work

I think it's about the same. Because when I transferred over the ecu and hit the memory function it put me back to where I had the original seat.
