I lift a lot of weights, but damn, this workout looks like one of the most intense ones Ive seen yet. Thats the kind of dedication that a champion has.

Mr. Couture is the man! His training has always been more about building strength, speed and stamina as opposed to just bulking up. Born fighter.
About when he mentioned his transition from wrestling and how he was over training. That's what happened to me. After wrestling I just got burnt out and got tired of working out. So here I am 3 years later out of shape smoking a cigarette and drinking beer lol.
Randy Couture is a straight up beast.
He made us all go amock with laughter in the cinema when he did that speech about his ear. Still the best after all this time :D

I think the wisest advice for anyone wanting to be in shape is to "change your eating habits".
I few years back I started to gain wieght eventhough I worked out a fair bit. All I did to turn all that around was change what I ate and when I ate it.......just like what Randy said: have my carbs earlier in the day, have protein later in day (especially after working out) and eat your greens (I refer salads).
I am now 12kgs lighter than i was before as a result :D

This was his workout in his late 40s !! I'm already in my late 30s and I can't lift the same way I did in my 20s. The man is a different animal.

Insane routine.
@Podarias The skin on the ears is very tight, this means that a hit on the ear can cause cluttering of blod (haematon), which pulls the tissue away from nutrition, leading to the tissue necrosis (it dies, imagine if the tissue in a finger somehow lost its arteries, it too would be witout nutrition, and die).
oh yeah for sure. different kinds of workouts though. one day i'll be able to do this workout and enjoy it, but i've never come close to enjoying a boot camp

get hit in the ears hard and it can end up causing clots to build in the ear and this can cause part of the ear to die and eventually lead to it being twisted/deformed or something to that nature
the condition is called cauliflower ears
@Dungarth Are you crazy? Lundgren was two time champion of full contact Karate in 1980 and 81 and a tournament of heavy weights in australia, by the way, he's 6 grade black belt of Karate Kyokushinkai.

@luisthebean17 there are 2 ways to build strength in his book, one is size the other i forgot... i highly recommend it...

This workout is a shit ton tougher than the terry crews expendables set and I must say terry looks better for it. Just goes to show the work you gotta put in for strength vs physique.
Wouldn't it be awesome to be in the position where all you get to do is workout fulltime? I wish I had that sort of job, I'd be in great shape like them too.
@Dungarth you are wrong my friend.. Jet Li competed in forms. not fighting.. wushu competition is sanda/sanshou (full contact striking) and Taolu (forms) Jet Li was many times a champion of forms.. not fighting

im not talking specifically about now randy. remember his active days? dont forget he was a olympic wrestler in the golden era of roids. ii agree now he looks natural. but still being absolutely ripped takes some roids.... i train too by the way. im 6'6" 225 pounds.

That is called having cauliflower ears, he happened to get those after being in fights inside the ring. not that you would know since all you do is sit behind your computer trying to act all high and mighty.

Hello, have you considered "Musclegion" (just search on Google for it ...)? There you can watch a useful free video explaining how you can develop visible lean muscle fast. This made it easier for James to break through his muscle building stagnation and build cut lean muscle mass without fat very quickly. I hope it will work for you as well...

Hey, have you tried "MuscLeader" (search on Google)? On their website you can watch a good free video showing the way to pack on visible muscles easily while dropping unwanted fat at the same time. Kev and many other guys experienced positive results making use of this approach. It might work for you as well.

are you serious? ok first off, randy isnt big enough to be a roid user. he's muscular, but thats what training your whole life does for you. Somebody who trains right, eats rights, and recovers right, will know how to gain serious muscle without EVER having to touch roids or hgh. i've been lifting weights since i was 20. i'm 25 now, and i'm 215 lbs at 5'10. I've never taken steroids are any of that other shit, but i do however come from a muscular/athletic family. quit hating on randy son.

Hello, have you tried "Musclegend" (look on Google)? On their website you can watch a great free video showing the right way to build up visible lean muscle fast whilst shedding excess fat simultaneously. Steve is one of the many men who enjoyed good results making use of this system. Perhaps it will help you also.
