  • I used the JOVS Venus Pro for 2 months | laser hair removal results!
In this video, I talk about using the JOVS Venus Pro for 2 months, how it works, my results, (before and after) my experience using it, and my experience with their customer service. I had really high hopes for the JOVS Venus Pro as a laser hair removal device, but unfortunately I was very disappointed by my results, which leaves me wondering, is this a scam? Thanks for watching!

First off, laser and IPL are not the same. Laser targets the hair follicle specifically because of the light frequency, they are very expensive and less damaging for the surrounding skin. IPL is like entering a chicken coop with a machine-gun, it's not really specific for the hair follicle, it affects the surrounding skin as well, and doesn't go as deep (which sure, can help with capillaries and pigmentation, but if you have deep hair follicles... not so much). If your hair roots are just 1mm too deep (sometimes I feel like my leg hair grows all the way from my bones) , IPL isn't going to do much. That besides the fact that they're all underpowering their devices to make them safe for at home use. I'd suggest Profesional laser treatment first, and using this, or some similar device for maintenance.

I wonder why there's so much variation in the results between different people...I was kicking myself for buying it right before watching your review, but now I'm on week 3 and relieved that I apparently got lucky! My armpit stubble used to get very prickly and uncomfortable, now it's patchy and the hairs are too fine and soft to stab me. Honestly worth it just to not feel like I've got hedgehogs buried in my armpits every few days lmao. Haven't tried my legs yet though.

Only 2 months will not show much results. It depends on the person but some people take them 3 to 8 months. So continue using it.
I have it and been using it for a month, highest setting about 2-3 times a week and definitely see it's growing slower and thinner 🥰
Keep using it more consistently and don't expect quick result. It will work 💕good luck

@@fattydoodoo5234 like op said, 2 months is not enough. Depending on the person, even in-clinic treatments will show very little results in that short of time.
Whether it's laser or electrolysis, both work by targeting the hair during the growing phase. Unfortunately there's no way to tell what phase your hair is currently in. Which is why most treatments are spaced out every 2 weeks in hopes that they can catch the hair during the anagen phase.
IPL is also not laser, a lot of people get the two confused because companies will use the word laser when they are selling an IPL.
IPL is a broad spectrum of light that is weaker and often takes way more sessions especially with at home devices. Laser is a concentrated form of light that is much stronger. Legally, no company can sell the general public a laser or ipl device with the same strength as the ones used in clinics. People are dumb and there'd be a lot of lawsuits.
As for it not being permanent, this solely depends on each individual. There are people that see permanent results with laser and then there's people that experience hair regrowth months later. What they don't tell you is that those people (usually women) either suffer from pcos in which case laser will not be permanent or they're pregnant which has caused hormonal fluctuations.

Level 6 armpit setting? Try pulsing it several times on the same spot, and gliding it over the skin not missing a spot, it takes a lot of use to clear the hair if its the same as the bosidin ive got, im a man and its worked.

Yes, it's the same as Bosidin. I've always used level 6, everywhere, and now I'm starting the fifth month of use (I'm pretty persistent...). I'll try to follow your advice, applying only the armpit setting on arms and legs. How long did it take you to see the first results?

@@ilariaadami5959 I've been using it for 3 years, just after id already done laser so it was just to keep me smooth, but because it was a home device, i done my legs, forearms, everywhere, that i didnt want to pay for laser for. What i noticed straight away was it took a while for hair to grow, then the forearms i literally lost 50 percent in the first session, but it was a little bit patchy in some areas so i never done it again, until now, where ive done 4 sessions in the past 4,5 weeks, and its about 75 percent clear, but there are little areas where the hair is just stubborn. But its a great device, after a course of laser, to keep you clear, without having to go back just for touch ups, theres a part on my side shoulder that it wont clear, and the chest it just keeps it sparse, done legs yest, only second, time, i dont want completely hairless legs, first session got rid of 50 percent id say so i just was kinda happy with that, i found lifting the device between zaps didnt work, your letting the light out, you need no gaps between the device and the skin, hope that helps.

This isn't an actual laser hair removal tool. It's a xenon lamp that is intended to burn off the roots of the hairs inside the skin. What I suspect happens is that they are seriously underrunning the xenon lamp in order to get a long life out of it and it doesn't have enough power to really do anything. These lamps typically are only good for around 1000 flashes... so...

  • @WhySoSerious551
    @WhySoSerious551 2 года назад +7

The reason you all come on, it didnt work is because you had it on level 1, then maybe a month later oh ill try level 2....just put it straight to level 6, underarms setting, the strongest setting, its a home device, its never going to have the power of a salon one, so straight to maximum, cleared me and im a man, works ok on legs, excellent on back, stomach, arms, places its not as effective are chest, side shoulders. If it works on me it works on you, dont move the head slide it, a few mm at a time, to trap the light, this is why you use gel, the reason it doesnt work on most of you is improper use, you have no idea what you're doing, its an ipl machine so lets say an area the size of your iphone, that should have around 25 flashes to make sure you get every hair, but you're doing a quarter, or less, missing parts, and yes you can pulse over the same stubborn spot numerous times, sure the manual says dont do that, but you can, and it will work better on stubborn areas, just common sense dont keep it on until you burn, theres a laser called the soprano ice, does this, it pulses over the same area, and you can do the same with this device.

@@KathySanthouse With these home devices the problem is lack of power, so if you mess about as per the guide, which ofcourse is only incase someone has an adverse reaction, which is not you, you need to ramp it up, at its maximum its just enough to get the job done, if you slowly a few mm at a time glide the handset, not lift it, you lose the light, believe it not im quite well educated on ipl, laser, diode, whatever, this is the only home ipl system, branded for home use that i found worked, used every other one, from expensive brauns, to tria x4, they did nothing. but you do not an attachment on this, and you put it on the underarm setting, and dependant on your hormones it will either like me remove hair on 80 percent, the other 20 it does nothing, im a man with stubborn hair, on steroids, if it works on me, then perhaps its back to what i was saying, youre lifting the head which is letting light out, it should not move off the skin, and cover each part a one and half that means half is getting zapped twice, good luck to anyone that takes the time to read this, those that dont, can keep complaining about the device.

The JOVS X listed on Amazon states the follows:
The JOVS hair removal device 23 Joules (7J/cm²) per shot, yet their FDA K220645 approval for the same item states 18.4 Joules (5.4J/cm²).
The fact that they charge a higher price for the JOVS X, (double that of the JOVS H-PRO), yet it is no better than the JOVS H-PRO in terms of joules output - 0.4 joules higher. Absolute blatant dishonesty.

@@KathySanthouse I did some testing with a Bosidin which is the same thing. In order to get any results the unit needs to be used of level 6 with either underarm or bikini mode and you have to flash the area 3 times repeatedly in a row before you move on to the next area. This ensures enough energy is being placed in that area and by the third shot you can feel the flash which is what you need. Feeling nothing mean no effect..

😂😂 I gave this way more time to work than the company said it should take. I definitely felt the opposite of lazy using it so often for over an hour at a time. Thanks for watching!!

I've used mine EVERY day for two months: no results. Zero. My wife had no results, either. We sent it back.
And talk about lazy! You have done absolutely nothing with your RUclips account, except for this post. I find that...interesting to say the least.
