Thank you very much for posting this video. I have the same exact model, however I had to put the doors on or wait another 4 days for the installers to come back. While I didn't have to swap out the doors, just watching the video showed me how to put the doors on (much easier than reversing the doors). You video was very very useful. Thanks again.

Great video. I figured it took you an hour-probably gonna take me any hour too but it's ok. I bought a used fridge for my garage. The lady I bought it from used it with the wrong door swing. Not me. It's amazing to me that people don't know the door swing can be change. Good job!

for the top mount- bottom door: unthread the pivot first to remove the door (makes unscrewing the phillips easier)
You remind me of me Rick.....talk to myself too, voice my concerns, swear a lot and wish I did not start this job to begin with. You saved me the effort. I'll have the appliance guy do this as it will save me time, energy, not try my patience and keep me cool, dry and collected.

If you remove the bottom door by removing the pin, rather than the whole hinge you can get to that one screw much easier.

well the shelf on the bottom came unglued,

to remove the bottom door.

This is a long shot since this is a 9 year old video, but I just bought this same fridge and just discovered that when both doors are opened at the same time, they run into eachother at about 1 foot of opening them together, so you have to shut one or the other in order to open a door all the way (I hope that made sense, lol).
I tried calling HD and they said I have to contact Fridgedaire since it was reported them (HD) within 48 hours of installation.
Tried troubleshooting on Fridgedaires website and there is no help for door issues for top freezer models; only side by sides, french door, and bottom freezers. Seriously?
Tried calling Fridgedaire and I've been on eterna-hold.
Has anyone else had this door issue with their top freezer model?

Size of set screw needed for door handle?
i did mine a few days ago i thought the job would be a 5 min job turned out i was wrong tuck nearly an hour real pain in the back side .

How did you reattach bottom of the freezer handle onto the fridge door? On the freezer door there is a little hole hidden behind the logo, but is there a similar hole for the fridge door? I think we have the exact same fridge as you, and we want to reverse the doors, but we can't find a matching hole on the other side of the fridge door where we would attached the handle.
+ryanashi On this one there is a little plastic cap that you remove and a screw goes in there that comes out of the other side when you remove the handle using the screws on top of the fridge handle. I'll have to watch it again. I know it's easy but it's been a couple years since I did it. Good luck.

I was watching your video and was able to follow everything really well. The only issue is our refrigerator door doesn't have hole or cap for the handle when flipped. I couldn't tell if yours had the same or if it already had the hole. Did you have to drill a hole for the refrigerator door handle?
The hole was already there. Some refrigerators aren't able to reverse the doors. Maybe yours can't. Unless you do make your own holes. But I don't know about that.
Zak Wright - I have the same issue. Did you end up creating your own hole to reverse it? The manual says its not an option to reverse this model but I really want to!
@@ursulaparkhurst3600 I did not. This wasy sister-in-law's refrigeratoridge who was in a rental apartment, so I was not able to put new holes in the refrigerator. My only issue with having to drilly own holes would be "plugging" the old holes as there were not plugs provided.

I should’ve watched the whole video before I decided to do this😂 i had a regular wrench and not a socket wrench…I got one later on tho. But I don’t have an Allen wrench so my handles are currently in the same spot but my fridge opens the way I want it to now

What’s that tool called that you used to get those bolts out on the bottom right underneath the door?
It's a little socket wrench.
Does the badge lose its adhesion and have trouble staying in place after you peel it off and relocate it to the other side?

Maybe loosen the screws, hold the door where you want it then tighten the screws? I hope that helps.
I want to change the direction of my fridge doors. We have the same fridge and it seems pretty easy although time consuming but my only concern is when you change the door handles to opposite side I don't see where I can attach the anchor screw? Please help

Very helpful except you glossed over moving the anchor bolt on the fresh food door. The freezer door has a hole hidden by the logo. But my 'fridge has no hole for the fresh food handle to reverse to. Did you drill it out? Did yours have a plug in a hole?

Great video. I have the same fridge but in white. I got everything done but the freezer door. I can't line up the top hinge plate on the screw holes. Any advice?
Hmm, it should all line up. If I remember correctly you have to flip that bracket over opposite of the way it was on the other side. I hope you figured it out by the time I answered!
+Rick Mammana decided to ship it back and get a new unit. The screw holes definitely do not align. Well I can align them but then the freezer door doesn't close properly. There is almost a 1/4" gap near the hinge.

Dude I work at lowes and if a customer tells me he wants the door switched, even if it is not on the work order we have to do it...delivery guy probably was lazy and did not want to take the time...because it can take some time but it is not a hard process....as you can see...
