They get brought to Emergency Rooms, and trust me when I say nurses (including myself) get threatened, assaulted, and attacked daily.
May God protect you Thomas. Nursing isn’t what it used to be, and people whom have never been on the floor, have no idea what RN’s deal with on a daily basis.
My dad served two tours in Vietnam and at 86 years old he still has nightmares about the things he saw over there. The only time he’s ever talked about the horrific things he witnessed and endured in Vietnam was when he was drinking.
He said he was a veteran. He kept yelling about the "13 soldiers". There might be a possibility of a PTSD and trauma that got released with the consumption of alcohol. War can really mess with your brain. Also early, frontal lobe dementia hits hard and fast and you will only need a drink or two to launch aggression similar to this. That dementia is often first shown by aggressive behaviour and lack of self control. I am not excusing his terrible behaviour, but it appears there is something else at play than just intoxication.

@@YourWeirdAunt they only serve a max of two drinks on any plane....some airlines only one. Real drunks are wasted by the time they get to the airport. Last year i decided to hit the airport bar before my flight. after passing security check. Getting a seat in the bar I managed about 3 drinks before having to get to my gate. Then boarding. Taking off getting to altitude and finally the cart came by for a drink and I was already losing my buzz. By the time I landed I was hitting my first hang over and ready for bed time . I seriously wondered how real drunks do it. You really have to try! And you better have major expendable income. 3 drinks at bar, one on plane put me back about 60 dollars (including tip). I will never understand why alcohol is served in airports. There are just too many people who can't handle it or don't know/accept their limits and then we end up with this mess. Add mental illness to the mix and it's just a sad situation all around.
I get why you may say that and on some level I would agree but to what end? We bubble wrap everything in society at the cost of freedoms and choice...we are forced to walk as slow as the slowest person in many cases. There are so many freedoms relinquished at an airport and rightly so...please don't take away the dignity of allowing a rational person the right for an adult beverage.
@@TheStealthbob That's a compelling argument. Maybe something in between where basically you have to get ID'd when purchasing alcohol in airports and service denied if you are blacklisted. How do you know he was drunk, 9:44, sounds like he is a veteran. Edit: Many people have commented on the fact that I mentioned that if he is a veteran, he can't be drunk? Thanks for your corrections, that's not what I meant. What I meant to say is that it's probably a much bigger issue here. He is probably drunk because he has mental health issue related to combat, etc. Doesn't mean he is a bad guy, but he shouldn't be on the plane if he behaves like that. Obviously, lack of mental health and substance abuse is a big problem in this country. I am glad the cops deescalated the situation and got him off the plane before someone could have gotten hurt.
@@DocKro23 They could, what I meant is that based off of 9:44 part of this video clip, it seems as if there is a much bigger problem than the guy just being "drunk". You are right, it could be both, we have no idea, I just don't think it's only him being drunk that's the issue here.
@@DocKro23 I think driving while baked on weed is safer than while drunk. It’s ridiculous that booze is legal and marijuana isn’t. If it was regulated like alcohol and sold legally, a huge amount of the crime associated with it would vanish. Frankly I hate the stuff and the smell makes me sick. But eliminating all the petty crime, the violence, and the drain on our prison and law enforcement resources would make a massive, and in my opinion, very positive change.
There's absolutely no way he's only drunk. That's not drunk behavior. He took something & maybe drank with it but that's not 100% alcohol. Plus they wouldn't have served him that much alcohol & you can't board a plane drunk.
As the person above correctly stated, you absolutely can manage to board a plane drunk. He might also have mental issues which worsened the behaivor from his alcohol use. However, as a paramedic for 6 years, I can't count how many instances I've witnessed of behavior just like this that when tested, was proven to be solely alcohol related in terms of substances taken by that individual. For whatever reason, people do not like to put alcohol on the same pedestal as drugs which is why so many comments here are so adamant to claim this was more than alcohol. Alcohol was solely responsible for the vast majority of behavior such as this that I witnessed during those 6 years. As odd as it might sound to some, heroin addicts were heaven to deal with in comparison to alcoholics.
He is drunk but he's also suffering from Republicanism. Tends to make people irrational, angry, racist and just a massive pile of dog shit. Don't drink and don't be a republican -- do it for your family.
More probably he got drunk waiting for his flight. A 2-4 hour delay or just simply getting to airport early can make traveling quite mundane and I admit I've gotten tipsy just killing time in an airport alone in the past. With that said this guy got everything coming to him.
You have to remember that alcohols effects get stronger the higher you are in elevation Chances are he was drunk, but under control when he boarded, and the last few drink metabolized in flight at 25,000+ feet
This man is wrestling with some demons and disillusionment all around. I hope he got help and is living a happier, healthier life. The officer(s) and the airline personnel all did a great job!

@Love Taniyah It's called being a human being. Why wouldn't you feel bad for somebody who put themselves in this situation? Doesn't mean he shouldn't face conquences. There's nothing weak about having emotions.
Typically, I would agree with this statement. However, he put his life and all the lives of the passengers and crew in jeopardy. No tolerance. He can enjoy his newly found lack of freedom in prison. Then, perhaps he can get some help.
@@fshoaps you said it, he put himself in this position. There's mental illness, and then there's being an asshole. Schizophrenia doesn't make you racist, bipolar doesn't make you a white nationalist.

There are so many freedoms relinquished at an airport and rightly so...please don't take away the dignity of allowing a rational person the right for an adult beverage.

If someone wants to get hammered before a flight they don’t need the airport lounge to do it. And removing it won’t change that.
@@TheStealthbob That's a compelling argument. Maybe something in between where basically you have to get ID'd when purchasing alcohol in airports and service denied if you are blacklisted.

Seconds before he fell i was thinking he wasnt going to make it down that many stairs...then he just faceplants on the first step
MontcomHorror Lmao great comment 👍
*your, not you’re
Nothing sad about it. Lmao 🤣 🤣
This is the kind of guy that says he can hold his Alchohol well at parties
How did he get on this plane in the first place?
How is he still conscious. I'd be passed out if I was that drunk.
Alcohol and trumpism killed the majority of his brain cells.
@@righteousone1 Always gotta make it political. 😒

He kinda sounds like Gilbert Gottfried lmao
This man is wrestling with some demons and disillusionment all around. I hope he got help and is living a happier, healthier life. The officer(s) and the airline personnel all did a great job!
he's drunk and acting like a fricking child...he is being helped - like a bratty kid gets 'help' with a slap to the back of the head for acting like an idiot...
I have friends and family with pretty severe mental illness of different kinds, the only ones I can't tolerate are the ones who use it as an excuse to take no responsibility.
Holy shit a positive comment for once ❤
This behavior is ridiculous. The flight attendants need to start knocking people out.
Agreed lol but they need a check list 1st
Body Slamming Flight Attendants
That’d be amazing haha
I wish that was legal
Choke hold would probably be the best bet to make him go night night for a bit
That man is very broken inside. I hope he gets better.
He seemed possessed when he was growling. Did you see his evil eyes??
He's just a flucking drunk!!
@@ayronsmama05 that’s why they’re called spirits… excessive alcohol is demonic
Very high degree chance the drunk & disorderly (maybe military veteran) will end up broke & on the street homeless suffering more.
He has got to change or else _"suffer & die"_ (quote from JLP).

I feel very sorry for this man. No one wakes up every day wanting to be like this. Imagine what it must be like to be him. I’m glad I’m me. This man needs a lot of help 🙏🏻

“Sir, please step outside”
“REALLY???”

He's clearly hurting. No reason to mock him.

@@brendanbloomberg3283 He's clearly a problem, ban him from flying for life
I can’t let my 7 year old see this or she’ll think adults are allowed to act like this.
Right
Maybe show her the arrest so she can see the consequences to acting like this lol
Next time she does transport her to a public hospital and issue her a citation for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. No games in this household.
@ChronicBoom Why on earth would your daughter think this behavior is allowed, when the guy was hauled away by the police?
Did you not comprehend the gist of the video? The reason this video was recorded and released to the public, and he was arrested and charged with interfering with a flight……is because we are NOT allowed to act like this and get away with it. Surely you should be able to convey that to your child. 🤔🤔
I once was sitting next to someone on a flight who i believe suffered from schizophrenia. He started talking to entities outside the plane and evidently didn't like what they were saying because he became more and more agitated. The flight attendants kept looking at me and i guess because i was wearing a white jacket they must have thought i was the guys doctor. Luckily he wasn't threatening anyone but confined himself to arguing with invisible entities. It was definitely an incomfortable experience.
Never seen someone act like that from alcohol
@@user-yf2iv1rt7l not chewing on the mask, this guy has some kinda mental issues. I'm a recovering alcoholic, from a family of alcoholics, so much for your sheltered theory
This can easily happen when you're extremely intoxicated. Alcohol completely changes your emotions, attitude and cognitive ability and reasoning. You'd be very surprised. Especially if they are black out drunk, they literally don't even know what they are doing as they can't remember/control themselves. You can be a completely amazing moral person but if you get THAT intoxicated, you can become Jeckyll and Hyde.

They are keeping him from hurting others and himself but he’s clearly not well and needs professional help, I do feel bad for him, very bad.
While alcohol is a bad idea on a flight I don’t think it was just the alcohol in this instance.
He’s probably reliving something and it’s very sad.
Making excuses for these idiots. Really??
Drunken psychotic racist bum no sympathy here.
he gotta be messed up from the war the way he keeps reciting stuff about soldiers. that probley why he has a alcohol problem too.
This is what war does to people.
And himself? Those cops let him do a face plant down the metal staircase.
This is NOT due to intoxication.
This is something else.
This is due to intoxication AND something else.
@@SmHy23 Agreed!
For sure my question is how he got through security
You are 100% correct.
I think it is intoxication because he is definitely on some kind of substance.
I bet this is one time Benton County Gun Works doesn't appreciate the free advertising.
I agree with others, this guy is high on something along with being drunk. This is very peculiar behavior.
Perhaps but I've seen really, really drunk people act just like this especially confined in a small space or around police.
@@Chasstful woah really….I was thinking he was on bath salts or something
@@iMsOiNsO Could be or something like meth. Its scary being couped up with these people on a crowded plane. Gets ugly fast

Pretty sure he has beginning stage dementia paired with some PTSD, you can tell by him not being able to communicate due to it not registering. I can’t help but feel sorry for this man. Hope he is doing better now.
Even when drunk 🥴 he needs to be held accountable for his actions. Charge him to the fullest. Drunkenness on flights needs to end.
Definitely! He wasn't forced to drink.
@Joe Ropaio See I thought that too until I learned this guy is likely going through a flashback from the war
@Joe Ropaio From what I understand he lost his squad in an ambush.
I don't think people even understand what happens when you mix alcohol and altitude. I had 1/2 a beer and .5 mgs of a Xanax for a flight and I do not remember any of it.
EVEN WHEN DRUNK...he should be held accountable? As if disruptive passengers aren't usually held responsible and let off scott free if they're drunk?
Kudos to everyone who made it through the video without fast forwarding or muting. Much respect!
I admit I fast-forward the recording. I was embarrassed for him. So cringe.
He’s not drunk, he’s wasted 😂
