Actually love this, the pickup sounds closer to a Sterling than a Stingray (a Music Man Sterling, NOT a Sterling by Music Man, its a USA made Stingray alternative with different pickups and a smaller body.) God I wish they went with a less ugly headstock, its stopped me from buying SO many Sire models. If youre deadset on having the Marcus Miller name on it, at least make a stylized font and not Microsoft Word default font
I love it! What happens when the batteries die? Can it play in passive mode through the rest of the set until I'm able to change the battery? Inquiring minds.
Hello, anybody know what is the weight for this bass ? , or know similar bass with similar pickups configuration but very light weight ? Is Sadowsky Express 5 strings is lighter in the weight ? What is your recommendation for me to search for as brand with light weight body but sound good ?
My experience is that sires do have neck dive issues in general, but for the price and quality I’d be more than prepared to swap out the tuners for lightweight ones. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of these!
@@redd6399when the neck end of an instrument is heavier than the body end, it tends to dive down and bring the instrument to a horizontal position, which is not ideal as the fretting hand will have to support the neck instead of gently resting on it. Neck dive may also cause the instrument to tug on the strap and put pressure on the musician's shoulder. Neck dive can be alleviated with lighter tuning posts, heavier bridges or by changing the strap position, but some instruments can sport inherent dive due to their design. This is especially apparent on small bodied instruments, as well as ones with a short or entirely missing top horn. Edit: I might have gone overkill with the details, but I hope this cleared things up.
SIRE IS KILLING IT!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!! Why did I watch this video??? Thanks a lot, Sire!!!! Just when I thought I'd beat GAS!!! Great playing!
I've got their basses. Love them more than my Fenders. Great quality and sound.
@@deejay7339 Yeah, I still have my 1st Gen Sire V7 5 and it's one of the best basses I've ever owned!
I pre ordered mine in May! I can't wait!!
Man they sound great
Gracias por subir el video jajaja llevaba de ayer buscando videos de este bajo 😅
Just pre-ordered this exact bass in the 5 string model. The wait is going to be brutal.
can you share your opinion? im thinking on buying the exact same bass
I already have a v7 and M2 5 string. I want one of these now.
Nothing like the sound of Alnico. It has a very distinctive warm round sound
♥♥ Yamaha TRBX 605 - or - Sire Z7-5 ???
Sounds like my OG stingray...not bad.
Same here. But only with fresh strings. Somehow my OG stingrays strings sound very dull after just a couple of weeks.
@@Gulaschguenter Get DR High Beams. thank me later

I definately need the 5 string version of this, the sound is so funky.
"Ain't we funkin' like we like it!
Ah ha! Ah ha!
Listen to the bass go.......!"
How did he get the 3+1 tuner configuration?

Definitely more lakland inspired than MM

It should have a passive mode like all the rest
umm when the battery dies put a new one in? You don't do a gig without testing battery first
Como de Stingray es el sonido?
When will they release?
None of the new basses are available until August?😢

sound very good, near a V7 or V8 , just little bit different cause the big MM pickup
Ciao! Grazie per il video! Il basso presenta neck drive? E’ bilanciato?
Awesome bass sounds great, change head stock .
The spermwhale headstock doesn't bother me one bit. Love that bass.
👍👌
Just put my pre order in for 2025 they are all out of stock 😂
WANT!!!!
Now ernie ball may start thinking
Pots on sire V7 very bad, after couple of months they start making problems.
Is this bass active or passive? If active, doesn't it have a switch to toggle between active and passive?
It's definitely active. Not sure about the switch.
@@jcspradley4621 Thank you for your reply.
Wow! If Louis Johnson were alive today; OMG! He would’ve went bizzerk! That bass nailed it! Now is it active and passive?😳🎸🎶👍🏾
Active preamp and pickups. 2x 9v batteries
the last knob(bass control) is push/pull, if knob is pulled, it is passive.
more z10 and z3 video pls. did he use both pickups or not? i think the tone is not that clarity. but i will gonna get it
I wonder how Earnie Ball feels about this?
Just another Stingray copy to them.
Competition is good. MM Stingrays are outrageously expensive.
@@jaydoode15 They are outrageously great basses as well...
@@jaydoode15 Sterling by Stingray are not
@soundwisestudios5340 no doubt they are, but the prices are hella steep, basically reaching boutique area.
Man, the only thing Sire can't get right since the first model is the headstock design.

I like the head stock
I prefer it honestly
What's wrong with it? It's practical, not too "loud", and not full of little bits that are easy to damage
I've grown to like it😊
GAS syndrome active!!

New lines have heavier bridges to counter it. V8 etc.
@@wharrgarblstudios May ask what is neck dive ? Asking for a friend lol

The bottom cutaway is awful but it sounds great
Sandberg California style
Armonica failed
that slap tone is horrible sounds like a p-bass playing through a gorilla amp
umm its a youtube video
The sound is great... but that Sire headstock... I don't like so much...
That headstock has grown on me.
