For anyone having a problem with this inhaler, there is a sure fire way to know if you are getting a dose, turn it till it clicks and back again, then tap it on a black surface and see if any powder comes out the entrance, if it does then you're inhaler is working as intended, the sound of the snap can be tiny, also note that the meter indication goes from 60/40/20 don't expect it to go down by one dose to 59 or something, it only gives you a vague indication of how much is left :)
Some quick answers to some of the enquries here. a) The medicine that comes out is a tiny amount. You may not be able to taste it. Don't worry. While you can't taste it, you should be able to feel the good effect it has on your lungs. Water and air are tasteless, but they are good for you ! b) It doesn't matter if you hear the click in the middle or the end. Whether you twist left -> right or right -> left doesn't matter. Both work. c) The counter will very slowly turn every time you twist the wheel at the bottom. You won't be able to see it moving - it's a very slight movement. BUT ! If you sit there bored and start twisting it back and forth, the counter will move, but the drug won't be used. The counter will say its empty when it's not ! So don't ! d) You must hold the Turbuhaler upright when twisting the wheel. One easy way to be sure is to rest it on the table while twising. e) The sound you hear when you shake it is the Silica Gel drying agent. Even when the Turbuhaler is out of medicine, the device will still make that maraca sound. f) The mouth piece does rotate. If you look inside the lid, there are little fins. When you remove and replace the lid, these fins spin the mouth piece, making a clicking sound. This is designed to vibrate and clean the vortex inside the mouth piece. g) The turbuhaler cannot be used with a spacer / aerochamber. It doesn't need one since its breath activated and a dry powder. Timing is not an issue. However, metered dose aerosols with a spacer sometimes are better for people with poor ability to breath in. For those, the Turbuhaler might not be the best choice. h) If you twist the knob back and forth lots of times, don't worry, you will only get one dose. Just like digging your teaspoon into a sugar bowl over and over, you will only ever get one spoon of sugar !

My instructions leaflet says to turn back and forth TWICE, not once. So basically 2 clicks. Why does my instructions say to turn in for 2 clicks instead of once like in the video??

No, you'll just have the same dose. You wont over dose unless you twist breathe the dose in and then twist again breathe the new dose and keep doing that. If you twist it a few times you're most likely wasting doses not loading them up to over dose. Don't worry and always rinse your mouth after using your inhaler
The dose counter dose move, but it is so slight that it is hard to notice. And I was done with my first one and opened it up to see what it looked like inside. I found the power was very very small like, icing sugar. so a dose of it would be hard to tell, but it does work gotta trust the Doctors and Pharmacist
It could be because some countries have different formulations in the containers.if you want to know google the company that makes your inhaler,they should have a demo on their website for sure.
After you activate a dose by turning it left once then right once, or the other way around it does not matter, it's ready for use. As long as the counter says there are dosis left. You don't taste it. You cannot see it (as you inhale it) but it's there.

Having said that. This is not a quick fix for asthma. It is for prevention. So the idea it works for you after 10 minutes. Well there is something wrong. That is not what it does or is intended for.
Its easy once you figure it out. twist the red nob on the bottom until you hear a click, blow all the air out of your longs then breathe in and hold your breathe for a few seconds. Blow out and rinse your mouth. Repeat if you doctor wants you to use 2 puffs twice a day.
This video is somewhat useful but is far from as complete as it should be. I am amazed that there is no mention whatever of the fact that, quite separately from the "red disc", the mouthpiece is also rotatable in both directions and clicks when it does so. One must assume that there is a purpose to this aspect of the design - it cannot possibly be accidental. So what IS the purpose of this function? Also, what is the purpose of all the sculpted indentations? It also does not address the common observation that, for many people, including me, there is absolutely no discernible taste and so we have the most serious doubts as to whether the device is doing anything useful at all. I find the design to be unsatisfactory, very unconvincing and it I have little faith in it.

my doc says its silicone or something, and if the counter is 0 then it probably means your turbuhaler is empty

what is the difference between symbicort and any other inhaler?
symbicort has cured my asthma. i honestly feel i have my life back. only take it once a day. life changing stuff

It's not. What you hear is material that soaks up any moist that may get in.
