"Blasting through the bright and cheery 1950s world of Destroy All Humans! is a simple but satisfying kind of fun, and there's a lot to be said for that. Just like the original, this remaster's comedy is a little hit or miss but its attitude is in full force all the way through thanks to some overpowered alien abilities that let you mow down the puny human resistance like an overlord."

I think they said it as a joke or were being sarcastic cause the voice clip they play as crypto literally says "sike" right after he says that.

Well that;s because these were made for fans who loved the original or those who wanted to play the original but never could. Either way... i stopped relying on this channel for reviews of remasters considering how they mostly go.
@@e1iteyoshi998 Besides spongebob most are rated pretty positively. Crash, & Spyro remakes, the sly collection, and a few other remasters got praised.

@Vaughn It wasn't half-assed. It was rushed to tie into the new Spongebob movie by Nick. But then Covid-19 had the game came out the way it is. It is getting patched though.

Agreed. Crypto is hilarious in the first game. Sadly never played Destroy All Humans 2, but hoping they'll remake that one day too, since it's also loved by a lot of people. Big Willy Unleashed and Path Of The Furon however, not so much.

@@lukeswan7776 It's usually because IGN is one of the channels whose word does have an impact on how well the game does sadly. Just look at the whole debacle with the Last of Us Part 2.
@@e1iteyoshi998 Almost every major place rated it highly so no need to single them out and honestly people forget how many customers still go in blind when getting a product. They say "I liked the first so Im getting the second" and shut stuff out. Also if you just dont follow game stuff it is easy to never know its rep. You then have the "it couldnt be THAT bad" crowd who need to see it themselves.

Destroy All Humans is a timeless masterpiece that has been begging for a fresh coat of paint like this for years. This game is a masterpiece through and through.
Crypto's voice is like half of why he's so memorable, wtf? When I was a kid I would run around pretending to him and doing impressions of him.

Lets face it 90% of the people who buy this will be the old time fans and won't care about any of the criticisms here. We're in it for the major cheese and big action, voice lines and all. This IS a originally a Pandemic game after all. Lets just hope it does well enough that maybe we'll get a DAH 2 remake or *fingers crossed* a Destroy All Humans 4 set in the 80's

Destroy All Humans has always had a jankiness to it. It really adds to the charm. A 7 is pretty much what the game I wanted would get.

Because all these review sites in the eyes of many seems to have completely altered what the numeric scoring system once stood for. Brak is right about how they now treat the numbers. So when they give something a 7 in my eyes it feels like they disappointed in it just cause it seems like the score number doesn't seem to justify what's written in the review itself. You have people hating on IGN cause it's IGN or cause they're a meme at this point and don't really have any credibility to their channel. But then you have those who don't like the reviews because they actually have legitimate criticism.

"the analprobe is useless" only when you first get it but once its fully upgrade it clears humans and robots out like they were nothing.

I’m pretty sure that the level where you stop the Air Force from completing their own flying saucer is not a new level. Maybe heavily redesigned but I remember that mission.

The first two games were released on the ps4 as ports. It would have been nice to have a breakdown of what is different and better about the remake to decide if I should buy the remake when I already own the upscaled port of the original.

The score they give really doesn't matter as the game will be an easy 8.5-9 /10 just for the upgraded graphics alone. This is a treat for all who played the original.

@@agamaz5650 Makes the game more attractive. I think the reason why we've been getting so many remakes is because technology is way more advanced than years ago. It seems like devs are remaking so many games because they now have the power to make a game world as they originally intended. I, for one, enjoy remakes. I liked RE2, RE3, FF7R, Ratchet & Clank, Spyro the Dragon etc. I'm sure I'm going to love Destroy All Humans and Mafia 1: Definitive Edition when they come out too.

Might get this for a blast from the past, the PS2 classics version on PS4 runs quite badly so i'm glad about this remake, loved this game when i was 10 :)

This game was my entire childhood and I am SO glad that it’s been remade for ps4. I’m doing a playthrough of it on my channel and it’s bringing back so much nostalgia. If anyone wants to check it out I would love it if you did
