How to sew exactly the same thing that you really like, even if you bought it 5 years ago

Probably everyone has a favorite thing that they want to wear again and again. Despite the fact that it was purchased a long time ago, the style is good. It’s already frayed, torn in some places, but still loved, because it’s comfortable and you feel at ease. You don't always come across something with a good fit.
I have these pants, I wear them at home, they are very comfortable, but where the waistband and other places are, the fabric is frayed to holes. I will sew an exact copy of these pants.
This means you need to make the same pattern for something you really want. There is the surest way to get it. But this method requires sacrifice; you will have to part with your old pants.
To do this, I cut the trousers at the seams and did not rip them open. The fabric smoothed out well. The original pattern is ready, I transferred it to new fabric, adding allowances.
The first step is to make the pockets. I cut out two pieces of burlap; for light fabrics you can use the main material.
I stitched one part of the burlap to the front side, then turned it inside out and made a stitch on the front side, retreating 0.5 cm from the edge.
I placed the second part of the burlap under the first and connected both parts.
Then I sewed the side seams of the legs.
I joined the legs in the middle. I made an imitation of lightning.
Belt.
I tore off the tape from the waistband of old trousers. But first I made two holes for the cord.
I sewed on a ribbon that I tore off from old trousers. The belt was folded and stitched to the trousers.
I inserted an elastic band inside. I laid two lines along the edges, thereby securing the rubber so that it would not twist during wear.
I threaded a cord into my belt.
I sewed pockets at the back.
I hemmed the trousers and inserted elastic bands.
The trousers turned out exactly the same as the old ones, but loved ones.
Now I have a pattern for trousers that I can sew at any time and not be afraid that they won’t fit.
