😮😮😊😊❤❤, hi 👋👋 Jeff. Don't forget that to find more #Gold# you have to go underground, like a coal miner. But you have so much knowledge that your a excellent 👌👍👍👌 teacher about geology. Great job I say #AmenInJesusNameAmen#. ❤❤😊😊😮😮.
I love your geologic insights! Most informative gold channel on the Internet! Any chance you could cover different Sierra mother load depositions? I am in Calaveras County, the Mines nearest me the gold quartz is hosted in contacts between greenstone/slate or slate/Mica-schist.
Never thought geology was so interesting but now I’ve developed this dang gold bug I can’t seam to get enough of it! Thanks Jeff for your encouragement and enthusiasm .
Your 2nd sentence explained one of the 10 Commandments. Thou shalt not covet your neighbors' belongings. IMO, my neighbors are the entire world population. "To want" is what covet means. All humans have done this for over 2500 years. I too am guilty. I still have not met one person who can obey the 10 commandments. God should have just built the world and never invented humans.
Speaking of plutons, the basin-and-range mountain ranges in southern Arizona (Catalinas, Rincons and Santa Ritas) are all massive plutons-intrusions of deep-earth rock exposed as the land around them fell due to stretching.
I was just on vacation in Tahoe and snuck a day in Virginia City and checked out the Comstock mine and that whole area. Was s great experience. Appreciate all the education and entertainment Jeff, loads of respect for ya
Hey, Jeff! You're living the Dream Life, Brother! And to have a wife that enjoys your hobby/profession ... Wow! One things I've always wondered about when you visit gold claims and talk about ore processing is what about the other minerals (silver, copper, zinc, etc.) that are encountered and mined incidentally in the quest for gold. Are they processed and sold as well? I'm sure that it probably depends on a lot of factors (percentage, available man power, distance to secondary processing/buyer, price, etc.). Thank you!
Jeff 00:10 A leather jacket and insulated gloves in July? 03:47 why didn't you take your river gear if as you said, "it was a good time to do so"? 05:17 Since when does Nevada have Snow in July? Visiting a Movie set? 08:40 Jeff's secret entrance then cut the video off when the Pistol hangs up on the edge of the opening. We love to watch the Bloopers Jeff, don't edit so much, it also makes a longer video. 08:53 sure looks like new lumber to be an old claim. You did a full video on that Tourist place in the last year and 09:57 Miller High Life empty beer bottle. Where were the full ones? Your friends backpack that was filming you going down that chute. Please keep entertaining as well as teaching us those "University words" you learned when attending Geology School. We love it!
I'm so glad to see you in your leather again Mr Jeff! When I'm laughing out loud while learning, I know you're hitting on a great video. You've made so many good ones that people over look. Stay simple yet with knowledge. There is so much more to you than just Gold Jeff. Some people want education, some people want you're crazy silly antics. Me? I'm right in the middle. I love them both, but to be honest, when you're out there having fun and using supreme Editing, then I can't wait to push play. Stay true to everything you are Sonny Jim! Much Love from Missouri! Jeff dude, EXCELLENT ! A picture is worth a thousand words, times however many times you have to repeat the description. Sometimes when you're spouting off them high falutin geology terms, its hard to get context in the grand scheme of things. The graphics or pictures, are excellent in conveying that context. What book did they come out of ? I want to buy it and you have several books listed.
Thanks for the lesson and share Jeff, funny I live 3 miles from Gold Hill, ...😆.... Oregon. Looks nothing like the Gold Hill you are talking about.... But they are both known for their large deposits of Gold ⛏⚒⛏ Take care, stay safe, cool and free. 👍👊

Yesterday I was looking at some information about an area in The Sierras and thought I had a good sense of what the maps and USGS report was telling me. At the 0:33 second mark of this video I realize I have no idea in terms of the geology and models what I was looking at. I can understand the geography but yeah I'm clueless Sonny Jim!

This is all great.. however have you ever thought about researching the East Coast like the northeast? Well, I tell ya. Between watching Gold Rush and your series, I got to researching and the river I live on, flows straight from the Rocky Mountains. Granted it's a TEN HOUR drive to the source, but heck, if they can pan in Alberta, I can pan in Saskatchewan. So I did it. I bought a gosh darn pan. Haha! I went down to the river, which is mostly silt and clay, but there are a few gravel beds. Looking for a place to start I remembered "Big Rocks, Big Gold. Little Rocks, Little Gold!" So I went to the big rocks. Then I took my socks off and remembered, "YEEAAA You're gonna get wet!". Well sir, when I pan this silty gravel, I end up with a bunch of purple sand (no idea what it is. Garnet?) But shocked at how well it stayed in the bottom of the pan as everything else floated away. Then, with my second pan, after everything washed away, and I was left with the purples, DOT! There's an itty bitty colour in the pan. I can't believe how it just sits there in the pan! Like velcro. Found three colours all in all out of five pans (it was late in the day) but boy, what fun! I won't get rich, but what a fun time out. Can't wait to head out tonight too. Thanks for sparking that excitement Jeff!
So as I understand it, a thin crust with late sulfide saturation is more likely to form gold and a thick crust with early sulfide saturation have a higher likelihood of developing diamonds?
Hey Jeff, all of these gold deposits being around old Volcan areas and what not if gold and all these precious metals are in the melts why is it that you can’t find gold and platinum and silver in places like Hawaii in the volcanic fields New Mexico in the volcanic field readily
the key is the composition of the melt ....mafics do usually host Gold deposit directly but felics do ....thats why the big Island does not host Gold there
